I love my mooncup sophia. I rinse it in the sink but if there is no sink than just tip it in the loo and wipe it with toilet paper. I sterilise it after my period finished, so once a month. Much better than dealing with tampons or pads in my opinion. I've had mine for 3 years now though obv it was not in use for a year or so.

PetiteRaleuse · 03/02/2014 19:23

No. Sorry. Can't deal with mooncups.

Passmethecrisps · 03/02/2014 19:38

Those are perfect ditsy! Bang on! Looks like I am off to tesco then. Thanks very much!

StuntNun · 03/02/2014 19:44

I have a Doghouse thread going on if any doggy people would like to chip in.

I've never tried it. I find tampons a faff so anything else would be beyond me. I go through phases of liking tampons and not. Quite like this no period side effect of bf.

Chick, do you watch stuff online?
Show called hostage has just started on E4/C4, 3episodes in looks good. Can catch up on 4OD.
Or if you fancy getting Netflix good wife is worth a watch.
Sons of anarchy is fun (American biker gang)

BigPigLittlePig · 03/02/2014 20:19

Ever since being preggers and beyond, I seem go get thrush at the drop of a hat, so tampons are a no-no now. After horror stories of a friends flatmate boiling her moon cup in the communal saucepans, I have tended to be a bit squeamish about them. Shame you can't take dd1 swimming though PR - will there be another opportunity in the next fortnight?

4 months seems to be the accepted time when things get easier GT, so fingers crossed bedtime gets earlier soon. You've done amazingly to feed for this long, when you think back to your original goal of a week! I meant to ask, does H still freak out at the bath? F has a major attack of the collywobbles if you put her near the bath at he moment, not sure why. Am hoping it will pass...

Can't wait for spring to appear. I bought some daffodils the other day, such sunny flowers, and something green and leafy is starting to sprout in the back garden. Was still v chilly in the wind today - my parents came to visitand xconvinced them to come for a walk to the park with me, F and the dog. Didn't take much as they would follow F off a cliff lol. Lovely walk but blustery!

Hope that Kyzs E is doing better today, and that Zamboni is ok too xx

Well done on sleeping to Stunts J. F has managed 2 consecutive 12 hr stints now, so dairy, soya and orangefree seems to be the way to go.

PetiteRaleuse · 03/02/2014 20:46

Yeah I can take her next week but as I had promised this week every day, counting down, this week was our special time. DH will enjoy it.

Sophiathestormfairy · 03/02/2014 21:01

Skulks into thread.

I did a terrible thing at circuity, boxingy, aerobics. Blush

The man trainer stood on my feet while I was lying down and I had crunch up to get the heavy weighted ball off him.

My pelvic floor let me down.

I farted.

YellowWellies · 03/02/2014 21:07

Soph my DH tried yoga once and once only. Mid downward dog he farted a good un and collapsed into hysterical high pitched giggles. I bet it happens to the guy all the time. Smile

Passmethecrisps · 03/02/2014 21:26

Oh sophia! I am sure it happens all the time. My pelvic floor lets me down when standing up! Bizarreness. I once let penny take the blame for the rasping noises. Shame on me!

ValiumQueen · 03/02/2014 21:29

Sophia any embarrassment should be dwarfed by the pride you should feel for going to circuits at your age Wink At least you didn't shit yourself.

DD2 is off nursery for 48 hours as she has been shitting herself all day. I think she has overdone the fruit personally. I also think she is almost deaf in her left ear Hmm so will get her tested.

ValiumQueen · 03/02/2014 21:31

DH is off this week so last night we started operation-get-J-to-stay-in-his-fucking-cot. DH got up three times and popped him down again, and J did indeed stay in his fucking cot until 6.15! I did not even need to get out of bed for a wee Smile

ValiumQueen · 03/02/2014 21:32

I have promised DH that if I get some sleep I will consider playing with his willie.

ValiumQueen · 03/02/2014 21:33

Note I said consider!

Passmethecrisps · 03/02/2014 21:39

I will bet that DH has noted it in his diary, vq!

I'll bet you felt much better after a semi-decent kip as well.

P is totally off her grub at the moment. Refused to eat anything at all at dinner time then only drank half her bottle at bedtime. Seems fine in herself. More than actually. Bonkers.

PetiteRaleuse · 03/02/2014 21:41

soph Farts and fanny squeaks/farts are part of life. Don't worry about it x

vq good luck with the J sleep to your DH and sorry about DD.

My two seem healthy this week except for tiredness and teething. Talking of which, night quiche. Knackered snd another big day tomorrow.

BigPigLittlePig · 03/02/2014 21:46

sniggers to self Sophia it's fine, these things happen. I occasionally have an accident of the guffy variety, you can blame it on the patients in my line of work Grin

Nice work Mr VQ. Hope mini-mr-vq gets to play soon Wink

F just woke in floods of tears, nightmare I suspect. It makes me sad, that at 14 months there are starting to be things that are so terrifying for them, and we cannot take those fears from them, only comfort them once the fright has happened.

Passmethecrisps · 03/02/2014 21:49

Poor wee soul bp. I wonder what on earth it is they are so scared of? It must be terrifying for them. Weirdly, ageing pussy had nightmares I am fairly certain. She used to wake yowling and dive in for fairly desperate cuddles. Her little heart would race. Strange thing the sleeping brain.

BigPigLittlePig · 03/02/2014 21:58

Pussypig chases stuff in his dreams, his legs and whiskers are all of a twitch. F is cuddled up on me in the chair now, must have jinxed things by mentioning the past 2 nights!

GTbaby · 03/02/2014 21:59

Thanks BP. Yes I remember that feeling. I was sure I'd quit once I left my mums and had to do it alone (under PIL watch lol) and I think that's what I'm most happy with. That I can juggle it with looking after both boys.

H is getting better in the bath now. Hates water over his face. Prefers kneeling on knees or standing To proper sitting. My mum did alot of playing in the bath room with him. Turning on taps and watching water. Touching and splashing with him standing outside.
He then would get in but stand with out screaming. Then slowly on to knees. Looking forward to the point I can have them both in bath at same time.

Started first day of bed time routine today. His 7pm nap only lasted 15 min. So started a lil earlier.

So we had mobile projector thing on. He lay in bed while I got ready for bed. He was happy doing this. I let him lay there about 20 mins then he seemed to be getting a lil fidgety so tried a few min cuddle, but he wanted feeding. So now he has only fed 10 min and is asleep.

Not sure what to do. Right transferred to cot. He is still sleeping. Damn it I was going to put him in his grow bag tonight.
So any changes? I thought about feeding with lights on to try get a longer feed, but he falls asleep during day when it's noisy with tv n H so don't know if that would get him to feed longer.

I don't want to attach bath time to bed time as often I bath whenever I have someone to help.

H has no routine. He usually has milk (then sometimes plays) gets put in sleeping bag then put in cot. He then plays/looks out of the window and then falls asleep.
We did have a nice routine of listening to prayers and hymns for half an hour then milk then bed. But PIL always messed it up by coming in watching news on full blast winding/hyping H up etc.
5weeks till they go!!!! FC

Right I'm going to watch good wife on my iPad.

PurplePidjin · 03/02/2014 22:01
Brew

Just in from first night at work. R woke as i left and refused to settle for my mum. At least she kept him in his cot but i really hope it hasn't fucked up his night's sleep Sad df rang and i think me talking to him in the hall while saying hi to mum disturbed him Sad

YellowWellies · 03/02/2014 22:10

Soph its the post coitus fanny farts since having J which really make me piss myself laughing (sometimes literally!!!!) now no one warns you about that!!! Apologies for over sharing Grin

GTbaby · 03/02/2014 22:31

Feeding again.

BigPigLittlePig · 03/02/2014 22:36

And on that thought I shall take myself to bed YW!

Glad you got to speak to df, Pidj. Is he ok? Hope R settles for you.

I might try some of what your mum did, GT. F loves certIn bathroom things, eg. Unravelling toilet rolls. But seems to hate the watery bit atm. No suggestions for the H and A bedtime stuff, but perhaps once he ILs are gone is an ideal time to tackle both boys bedtime routines? Plus A will be that bit older by then.

GTbaby · 04/02/2014 00:34

Last wake up took up to 11 with one failed transfer. So we have done 1.5hours! Huzzah !! Lol. As you can work out, only issue we have is that I am still awakeConfused

FH is trying to work out a mini break for us. Any suggestions?
He thought Brussels by euro star... But that means getting to kkings cross by tube. I'm not up for that at all. So would be a cab. But how push chair friendly is Brussels? In terms of travel and walking about the city?
Or any other suggestions?
