Bought his first proper shoes today, very cute but my word, aren't baby shoes a rip off!

Fourlegs I hope you find a sense of stregth in knowing your better off without him you dont deserve to be with someone that flaky. Whatever anyone says I find alcohol does help! :-D look after yourself.

JuniperTisane · 16/03/2014 08:42

Anyone else like to start their sunday mornings at 6.15am by giving their children a bath to remove sticky spready nighttime poo? Hmm

Lora1982 · 16/03/2014 09:21

No Grin just you then!

mrsbug · 16/03/2014 10:10

Dreadful night here but we have a new tooth to show for it this morning

Birdies · 16/03/2014 12:26

fourlegs sending hugs to you - how are you doing now?

lora they're so expensive aren't they for such tiny little things. X doesn't like wearing hers really as much prefers bare feet but I'm putting her in them at home as often as I can in the hope she'll get used to them. She kind of stomps around in them :)

We have waving! Thanks to whoever suggested teaching her (mrsbug maybe?) - it worked and she is waving saying 'bye bye' at the same time (although she says bye bye for both hello AND goodbye!).

juniper (boo where did pascha go?!) - no nighttime poos but we do need a change of clothes for every one, and sometimes a bath. They are properly squishy. Not sure if I'm feeding her something odd as she never does hard ones.

CreepyCrawly · 16/03/2014 14:28

Had my sister's wedding yesterday. Had a lovely day and Nancy was an absolute beaut, good as gold all day and slept all night. I couldn't be prouder of her!

Hope you're alright fourlegs and you have people around you x

mrsbug, it makes it slightly easier when you can see a reason for it doesn't it?! Hope you've had an easy day.

Angielka · 16/03/2014 20:48

Aww, creepy LOOK at Nancy! What a doll.

That's a great allergy website glorious glad it looks like you're getting somewhere cupcakes

And birdies Molly says hello for both hello and goodbye so our two could have a lovely chat Wink

JuniperTisane · 16/03/2014 21:13

Gorgeous picture, Creepy. Hope the day went well.

I'm Envy of the talking. Its just babble here, with a definite aah for cat and oggee for dog but no actual real words. Mind you, DS1's first word wasn't til 15 months and he didn't babble at all so we are already ahead there.

I think I might get Dan's feet measured for shoes at the end of the month. He's still 50/50 walking/crawling so I won't push shoes just yet.

I retired Pascha, Birdies. Just for now, didn't feel like 'me' anymore. I may bring her out again in a while when I get bored again.

mrsbug · 16/03/2014 21:36

Ooh well done baby birdie!

Lovely pic creepy.

Dd has been a grumpy teething nightmare today. She cheered up a bitwhen when we took her to feed the ducks, and we saw someone taking a ferret for a walk on a lead,

AppleCrumples · 16/03/2014 21:37

We have 'ni ni' here for goodbye and goodnight and wierdly hello she makes noises for monkey and bunny but we have had 'eddy* for teddy. Mostly she makes a lot of oo ah and buh noises though :)

Park today and she giggled like mad while dd1 and ds1 pushed her on thr swing and took her down the slide - knew these older kids had a purpose!

Re shoes the little bugger monkey is growing out of hers. i really can't afford more shoes :(

creepy so cute.

juniper hope such early pooey starts are rare! M ds1 never babbled and ds2 and dd2 didn't babble much either, Ivy seems to have a lot to say (which is good because when she goes quiet i just know someones left a stairgate open..)

LetThereBeCupcakes · 17/03/2014 11:40

Well, we're just back from the doctor's and have been referred to a dietician. We've been advised to go dairy free for 2-4 weeks (I'm still breastfeeding so I will have to too). No chocolate! Argh!

No words yet here at all, though he does understand a fair bit.

Creepy that picture is absolutely gorgeous.

The TV in our bedroom has broken. DH is devastated. I am thrilled. Peace at last! Grin

lollipoppi · 17/03/2014 14:18

I can't see pictures in my phone, booo. Glad you had a good time at the wedding creepy

Not much talking here either, she can say birdie and Ohhhh wow which is v cute, she waves bye bye and gives cuddles and kisses to her teddies

We need new shoes here too, her first pair of cruisers cost more than I spend on a pair of boots Hmm

How are you doing fourlegs?

Cupcakes, no chocolate Shock it's a crime. I'm really happy that you seem to be getting to the bottom of it all though

Polyethyl · 17/03/2014 15:38

I've just taken baby to the weigh in centre. She's 10kg, which means she's steady on the 60th percentile.

This got me thinking about when to move up car seat group. She's perfectly happy in her maxicosi cabriofix at the moment. And looking at the growth chart in her red book she's not likely to hit 13kg weight limit until after her second birthday. I'd like to keep her rear facing for as long as possible.

So do people keep their babies in group 0+ car seats until past their second birthday?

glorious · 17/03/2014 15:50

cupcakes if you like plain choc there's lots of dairy free, though often babies who are sensitive to dairy are also bad with soya and soya is everywhere. I can recommend koko coconut milk, it's fortified to be like cows milk and much nicer than soy.

We've splashed out on a rear facing group 1 seat but if you're getting a normal group 1 then yes it's safest to leave them in the group 0 as long as you can. Imo they're likely to grow out of it heightwise first.

mrsbug · 17/03/2014 16:15

I think the really nice dark chocolate in aldi is dairy free - Moser Roth.

Dd is ten kilos too but had started to look really squashed in her baby car seat and her head was almost up to the top, so we moved her into a bigger one a couple of weeks ago - we've also gone for an extended rear facing one.

Had a lovely picnic in the sun today, dd fed hers to the birds pigeons

Dd only says mama and daddad, but makes car and animal noises and does lots of signs.

JuniperTisane · 17/03/2014 17:29

DS is just over 10kg too. We moved him up at 13 months as he had reached to top of the baby seat Shock but we went forward facing as Dan was just miserable and carsick facing backwards.

Dan has bypassed the child lock on the treat cupboard and has been stomping backwards and forwards bringing me all manner of things to open for him today Angry. I'm starting to get him very used to the word no.

meringue33 · 17/03/2014 20:13

Creepy that pic is just adorable.

Our wedding is just round the corner now - June. I am stressed, had a dream last night that there was no dessert at the wedding breakfast and we had to buy 40 Mars Bars from the corner shop!

Also realised today that I'd forgotten to put rings on the to do list!!!

Hope everyone is good. Fourlegs I hope you're bearing up. From what I know of you, you totally rock. You deserve an equally rocking partner in life. I'm sure he is there for you and he ain't this guy :(

Hope you can get angry and get over him. It will take time I know. Feel free to vent all you want. Hugs xxxx

fourlegstwolegs · 17/03/2014 22:46

Creepy that is such a sweet photo :)
Poly mine is in an extended rear facing seat now. Its a BeSafe Izi Combi. I'll keep him rear facing till he outgrows it - theoretically 4 but he's tall, so will prob be sooner.
Meringue thank you :)
I veer from incredibly sad and not to mention stressing about contact etc (I am terrified at the though of him staying the night with my very vague and FAR too relaxed about safety, ex-DP), to thinking all will be well in the end and that I will meet someone lovely who will adore little boy etc etc...
It's all still pretty raw and stressful.
I still haven't told my friends and my family were pretty good last week - though I think I'm old news this week!

meringue33 · 18/03/2014 09:17

Research apparently shows that sympathy lasts exactly 3 weeks Grin

Sounds like you're doing incredibly well. Try to take it a day at a time and not project too much into the future. You might find DP isn't keen on lots of overnights anyway.

And having a child is definitely no bar to finding someone new, as many happy blended families can testify.

Am feeling somewhat forlorn this morning. Just dropped LO at nursery and he straight away toddled off to his key worker with a smile on his face and arms outstretched for a cuddle! I suppose it's an improvement on hysterical tears but I feel a bit redundant now!

fourlegstwolegs · 18/03/2014 15:02

It is potentially even more complicated. We DTD with no protection a few weeks ago (me thinking he was in it for life...) - I have an agonising wait for another few days to find out.....
Bloody nightmare, this whole situation.

glorious · 18/03/2014 16:00

fourlegs in terms of the breakup I'm sure this is going to be the worst bit. Once it's all sorted and you get used to things it will feel less daunting. There's no need for overnight visits any time soon really is there? I'm so cross on your behalf that he happily DTD without protection when he wasn't sure about the relationship. I hope things work out as you want them to. The waiting must be awful Sad Thanks

meringue yesterday Ellen shut the door while DH was saying goodbye! Shock

Hi All

Delivered the nursery application form today, she is going to start in Sept, two days a week. I have already turned into a pathetic moron and feel sick at the thought. Don't know what this child has find to me!

Apples I just had to purchase new shoes not because if fit but had to get ones with buckles as the shoe taking off was driving me nuts. Do you have Clark's outlet near you, I got her previous pair which were this season for £20.

DD2 has four audible words and moo and baa but is constantly babbling, which like you Junip is massive improvement on DD1.

DD1 had follow up hearing test today, hearing has deteriorated a little further do being referred to ENT specialist.

Other news, my pushchair obsession is rearing it's ugly head! Confused. Oh and I'm thinking about taking up running..... bet that's as far as it ever makes it
