Hello all!

I want another baby too. However I'm having a hell of a time persuading DP and I have a really low egg count :(
Time is NOT my friend. I'm 36 so I wasn't expecting to have loads of time but being told by the clinic that I can't wait is a bit depressing.

Birdies mine is on one nap a day now, 1-3pm.

7 am ish he wakes up
Breakfast blah blah blah
1230pm lunch
1pm on the nail he goes to bed
2.45-3pm he wakes up
Blahblah blah till
6pm dinner
7pm on the nail, bed.
Ta-dahhhh! ;)

MMR on Monday....

Yay survived half term soft play madness! Got there at 9.30 and still had to park ages away. Still kuds had fun and are hopefully worn out. Allthough Ivy has not slept since we got back ...

Ready for them to go back to school now :)

fourlegs that sounds crap, does dp know time is of the essence?

birdies our routine is roughly

7 up. toast and water before school run

9.00 back from school, breakfast and get dressed

11 lunch

11.30-12 nap til around 2 (sometimes lunch after this if shes too tired)

3 schoolrun etc

6.30 ready for bed bf

7 bed

Obviously ours has to fit around school otherwise she would probably sleep later i.e. around 1-3 at weekends.

Hello. I have a little cautionary tale for you all called 'The Perils of Not Following the 48 Hour Rule'

Once upon a time, there was a Little Boy aged 3, who woke up very late on saturday night (midnightish) and puked down his pyjama top. Mummy and Daddy dutifully yawned, scrambled out of bed and cleaned it all up, little boy spent the rest of the night in their bed without incident. Lucky Mummy and Daddy Hmm. It was put down to overeating at Pizza Hut earlier in the day.

On Monday (about 36 hours later) Little Boy and his baby brother and Mummy were invited over to Nanny's for lunch. Also there were Auntie and two cousins and a friend of theirs. It was a very busy lunch and they all went out for a walk afterwards to stop all the boys from killing each other in the house.

Poor Mummy felt worse and worse during the walk, it lasted about an hour and she thought she had overeaten - until the moment she threw up violently into the hedgerow Shock Luckily everyone else was a few feet ahead but still, Shock!

She made it back to Nanny's house, made her excuses, bundled Little Boy and Baby Boy into the car and drove home, stopping once on the way to lean out of the car and throw up again Sad. She staggered on til Daddy got home from work and between the pair of them, got the boys to bed. Mummy went straight to bed too.

Next day she felt fine but Daddy had been in the loo since 4am puking and the other, he was curled up on the floor with a pillow and a glass of water trying very hard not to move. Poor Daddy. He phoned his father (Grandad) who he works with to cancel work for the day and went to sleep while Mummy did her best to entertain two perfectly well children and keep them out of the house for the day. When she got home Daddy was looking a bit better but had spoken to his mum (Nanny) on the phone to discover that both Nanny and Grandad were also now puking, as were Auntie, Older Cousin and cousin's friend who had been at lunch on monday.

Ooops Blush

If only we'd stayed away from people for an extra day nobody else would have been sick. At half term. With working parents. And a grandmother who is in remission from throat cancer.

Fucking hell.

mrsbug · 20/02/2014 15:56

That sounds rubbish fourlegs, can you persuade him to stop using contraception and see what happens? He might be happier with that than actively trying?

I'll be 36 this summer but we conceived dd quickly so I'm hoping that means I'm still quite fertile and can afford to wait.

salt1 · 20/02/2014 22:18

So many bits to reply to ... But will quickly say no more babies ... Ever ...

lollipoppi · 21/02/2014 17:14

Oh no pascha!! That sounds awful hope your all feeling better soon!

Grin Salt!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 21/02/2014 18:07

Salt there are times when I feel that way too! Usually at around 3am.

Pascha How is everybody now?

I shan't bother posting my routine because (a) DS keeps changing it and (b) he's up half the night anyway!

Spent a lovely day shopping with my best friend and DS today - found a café attached to a toy shop and DS fell absolutely in love with this toy kitchen. He literally had to be dragged away from the display. I think we will be spending his Birthday money on this!

glorious · 21/02/2014 19:54

Oh pascha that sounds awful, how are you all now?

cupcakes that kitchen is brilliant! Ellen loves hers, I'd go for it.

fourlegs that sounds difficult Sad

tugs and I had a great time in a packed museum. minitugs is adorable!

Birdies · 21/02/2014 20:43

Quick post to say thanks fourlegs and apple for the routines. I'm going to aim for similar but am a long way off them at the mo.....

Polyethyl · 21/02/2014 20:51

My little one neither sleeps through the night nor keeps to a pattern.

Still, she's pretty quick and easy to breastfeed back to sleep.

Pascha · 22/02/2014 10:42

Hello everyone. Much better thank you. Don't ever want to repeat the last 8 days again though.

Still no set routine in the day for Dan, usually two naps a day still, either an hour and a half morning and an hour in the afternoon, or fights through til about 1pm if we're out and crashes for a couple of hours somewhere between then and 4pm. I just go with the flow now as he sleeps all night so no problems whatever he seems to want (sorry).

Peaceful day today, DH and DS1 are out at rugby, then Karting with my nephew later. My sister is coming over for lunch, might go to Pizza Express with my clubcard vouchers as its just me and Dan. Oh the novelty of going out to eat for lunch with one well behaved baby.

Walking is being practiced slowly and surely, he is hesitant but game for a go for a few steps here and there. Nothing like DS1 who ran virtually straight away. Typical 3 steps and bum down is Daniel.

Hope everyone has a good weekend planned.

AppleCrumples · 22/02/2014 12:18

Anyone else getting tantrums? Little madam is constantly getting into things she shouldn't then hurling herself on the floor kicking when thwarted!

pascha glad you're all better. We had a similar experience a few years ago. I still.shudder at the memory Envy

Birdies · 22/02/2014 13:39

Glad everyone is better pascha.

apples yes! I thought it was way too early but if I move her away from something she wants (like yesterday when she tried to eat coals from the fire...) she kicks and cries and rolls about on the floor. Oh dear, do we have feisty ones?!

meringuesnowflakes33 · 22/02/2014 13:48

Glad you're better Pascha, what a nightmare for you :O

LO has been sleeping through the past few weeks but I think it's just his cold as nothing else has changed. At nursery he naps 10-11ish and 2-3.30ish but at home he only has one nap, from 1-3ish. I can never get him to nap in his cot either so he usually falls asleep in pram or car on the way back from somewhere.

He is doing so well at walking its v cute to see. He's a live wire though, today at the park he ran in front of the swings and nearly got kicked.

meringuesnowflakes33 · 22/02/2014 13:50

When you take something off him he gives a wail and crumples dramatically face first on the floor.

mrsbug · 22/02/2014 15:27

Tantrums here too, if I won't let her pull all of the clothes out of her wardrobe, or give her a banana instead of dinner or make her get out of the bath. Doesn't bode well for the terrible twos, does it?

lollipoppi · 22/02/2014 16:30

Glad your all better pascha!

Tantrums over here too, plonks herself onto the floor and throws herself back, screaming the lot! Joys

Angielka · 22/02/2014 18:00

Ha, Molly just tried one of her 'not getting my way so I'll lie down and cry outraged tears' in the bath... don't think she'll try that again Hmm

Pascha · 22/02/2014 18:21

Angry Ooh Daniel is grinding his teeth loudly just to annoy me. He's waiting for me to tell him to stop then he scoots off to the other side of the room. And he's harassing the cat as well. I shall be very glad when bathtime comes along after I've finished my tea...

Angielka · 22/02/2014 18:29

Oh and for the photos - sorry forgot who it was who had problems too, but MN have said it's their fault and they're sorting it.

lollipoppi · 22/02/2014 18:47

GrinGrin Angielka

Pascha I hate when they grind their teeth it makes my skin crawl
Sounds awful but I can't wait for them to go to bed tonight, D has been clingy all day and ds1 has had it on him today. Tick bloody tock!

Lora1982 · 22/02/2014 20:53

Bonjela can sod off ive finally got round to trying ambesol. I tested them on my gums and im impressed. 12 teeth now so we are over half way, I hear the fangs are a bugger. Whenever theres teething he has a sore bum and a cold to noot poor soul.

Tantrum front is not too bad but wonder weeks says they'll be wanting to learn rules soon hopeful

Birdies · 23/02/2014 09:11

Does anyone else's baby not wave yet? According to my book (a good one) it says I don't need to worry until she's 15 months....but that's only a month away! She has a few animal sounds and some little words and does the odd random point, but no waves yet at all....

mrsbug · 23/02/2014 09:34

birdies I think waving is something that babies need to be taught, so could it just be that you don't wave at her very much?

Hormonalhell · 23/02/2014 09:48

Hi all back again but always reading the thread with interest.

Hope all babies are good. Yes tantrums here too! Drive me crazy!! Only 4 teeth but more on way as intermittently unwell and grumpy.

He can walk by himself but chooses not to. If I let go he sits himself down but sometimes forgets n toddles off on his own Grin
