Hello ladies, can you believe we will be entering into a 6th year of this thread this year?

Those poor boys. So very sad.

Vagolajahooli · 07/04/2014 22:20

I know so sad, her boys are just so young. It breaks my heart. I think Bob Geldof shouldn't have written that song, he has been cursed by it.

oh & now Mikey Rooney too.

beans37 · 08/04/2014 16:52

Who's Mikey Rooney?
Peaches lived really near my Mum. How weird. V v sad for her boys. She was a bit cool, for me, but it was waaaaay to young for her to die. Makes me feel really low.

beans37 · 08/04/2014 17:27

off skiing tomorrow. can't wait, but have a very sore knee. bit worried. dh buying me a support on the way home.

Vagolajahooli · 08/04/2014 20:55

Mikey Rooney this is him Beans. I think he was fairly famous, well he was famous in Australia and the US maybe not so much in the UK.

Yay for skiing tomorrow, where are you going to?

I've wasted half my day talking to stupid passport office people. So dumb how they need our Australian passports to apply for a renewal for a British passport. I have been onto them for the last week to try to get DS2's aussie passport back so we can go to Italy next week for our wedding anniversary. Anyway they are stupid and won't send it back so next Tuesday we need to take ds2 & £95 to Amsterdam to get him an emergency travel document to be able to fly to Milan. They don't even check passports on flights between here and mainland europe but stupid easyJet won't let us travel without it.

on the upside DH has finally started doing our UK tax for the house in Derby and we will get some money back (minus the late fines).

Also on the up a friend of mine from back home who lost several babies before finally having her gorgeous DS1 has just announced she is due another in October. We thought she might never managed to have another so this is wonderful news. I feeling a bit emotional with all the passport hassle so I burst into tears when I found out the news.

beans37 · 08/04/2014 21:45

Ah! Mickey Rooney, yup I've heard of him. wasn't sure if you meant him or if Mikey was someone else x

beans37 · 09/04/2014 07:39

at Stansted airport, waiting for our flight to be called. yay! have a lovely few days all xx

Nolda · 09/04/2014 10:33

Have fun, Beans! I hope you have lots of snow.

We went to see the Muppets yesterday at the cinema. It was good but not as funny as the last one. I did like Miss Piggy duetting with Celine Dione (not sure if I've spelt that right).

Dd is working on her holiday project. Why do they set holiday homework? She's only 7 and with all the tantrums it takes 3 times as long as it should.

Hoping to go out in the sunshine when she's done ...

ZuleikaJambiere · 09/04/2014 22:29

Congratulations on the third girl Lady, lovely. I hope you're feeling better now, or starting too? BTW I think you live very close to my godmother, from something you said in an earlier post. Maybe you know her, how odd would that be!

Arti your weekend away sounds amazing, I'm so glad it all worked out for you

The pillow fight sounds fab Vaj

Have a lovely time with your brother Rubes, and I hope the move goes well

And talking of moves, the new house is proper gorgeous Jammy

Sorry about the test Kayz, I (somehow) passed on my first time but with 17 minor faults! I think you're only allowed a couple now - oops

This was not the week to log on and read about the joys of three - I had to take the MAP last week, and suddenly it's focused DH and I and we're wondering if we've done the right thing or if we should go for no 3. He was adamant our family is complete, but has totally changed his tune. Please, someone tell me that three is shite. We dithered about getting the MAP, but decided if we go for three it deserves greater consideration than the time allowed. It's also not helping that I'm catching up on one born every minute right now. But I only have to look upstairs to see that babies turn into proper screamy tantrummy toddlers.

Happy hols Beans, hope the knee holds up

JamInMyWellies · 10/04/2014 10:28

Sat in the car feeding DS3. While big boys watch the tiny car telly while someone has a 2nd look round our house. Been up since the crack of dawn hoovering!

Nolda · 10/04/2014 16:22

exciting news about a possible no.3 ZJ? if you did decide to go for it when do you think it might be?

OP posts:
JamInMyWellies · 11/04/2014 16:48

ZJ do it. Grin

pfft no offer because they want 3 double bedrooms and we dont have that. Well yes its the same house you saw first time with 2 double and 2 single bedrooms.

Mckayz · 11/04/2014 20:39

Do it ZJ. I love having 3. It's brilliant!!!

sybilfaulty · 12/04/2014 10:13

3 is fab. Go for it. Mine all get on and look out for each other. No 3 just slotted in and adapted. He is the least effort of all of them.

Indith · 12/04/2014 10:31

3 is great

Ladyt my dear I hope you are well and just being busy and knackered.

JamInMyWellies · 12/04/2014 20:21

Hi too have been thinking about Ladt. Hope you are feeling better.

Vagolajahooli · 13/04/2014 19:43

so just changed my password. Stupid heartbleed. Though on the plus side anything that perpetuates the need for the Internet security industry is a good thing.

sybilfaulty · 14/04/2014 11:59

Helloooooooo to you too, Vag. We have just had friends round for a birthday breakfast and I made pancakes and brownies. All before 10am. Now need to go out a d buy acyclovir for poor dd2. She gets such rubbish cold sorts. Poor little thing.

What are you up to?

Vagolajahooli · 14/04/2014 17:18

currently waiting for ds2 to finish gymnastics. I've been for a run so am very sweaty and stinky. Hoping none of the other parents in this little change room can smell me.

We have to present DS2 to the British consulate tomorrow and hope they give him a emergency travel document. I'm sure they will, they get £95 out of the exchange.

I can't stop thinking of brownies now Sybs.

Hi all! Back from holiday. Was ace and girls loved skiing, yay!

ZJ, I'm going to be totally honest about a third. I love love love it, but I found the first 4 months bloody awful. But that is as naught in the bit scheme of things. Occasionally I think how much easier it would be if we'd stuck with 2, but I didn't feel finished somehow. I adore my squiffy little Tory with her big thatch of hair and squinty eyes and sticky out ears. She's scrumptious and I would never ever be without her. Is definitely more challenging having 3, but glorious. So there. And she's v easy as spends most of her time being roundly ignored. And 3rd time round I've been so much more relaxed about routine etc, so have found it less stressful and with big 2 being at nursery/school a lot, you get lots of time to dote spend on the third. Love it! Exhaustion and all.

sybilfaulty · 15/04/2014 10:38

Dear Beans, you write do beautifully about little T. I adore my young fellow to death and am so grateful to have had him. I was taken by surprise with him as dd2 was not even a year old when I got pregnant but the three of them get on so well and are a lovely unit. The early days are always hard but I co slept and didn't feel too ghastly. I did wake up a couple of times to find him face down in the floor by my bed, but still fast asleep. I agree about bring roundly ignored as no 3. Makes them v adaptable and not needing adult validation the whole time.

I am at the cinema now watching willy wonka. The gene wilder one not johnnie depp. The girl behind me is called Marge. Not a name one hears often. I think Simpson but I suspect not.

Vag, these are Nigellas everyday brownies. Very easy and completely yum.

Back shortly.
