Can I just go ARGHHHHGAGFHGGHDNFJN**£&!

J is still on Penicillin from the hospital (taken inNYE) he's been on it since then and yesterday after a evening dose he comes up in great big hives on his face/chest/back/legs. So now after a virus, cold, ear infection and tonsillitis it looks as if he may be allergic to Penicillin as well.

I'm still waiting for the GP to call me so I know what I have to do about the last 3 days of the course.

Poor little chap can't seem to catch a break.

Sophiathestormfairy · 08/01/2014 12:14

How funny yw I will have to speak to O about his midnight sojourns to Fife!

I stopped watching daytime tv when we moved here it can just suck the life out of you.

Just about to write to work and see if they could give me a work at home role, eek, 3 days a week once my childcare break is up. Otherwise I will have to find a job as I provide a certain amount for the girls and I need to earn that money myself really, not use what DH gives me.

Really that would be perfect. I love being a stay at home mum and financially if I could do that full time I would, but working for the same company that I know from home with a regular trip to the office would suit me down to the ground. The nursery have said they could have the boys 3 days from April if need be and once DS1 starts at preschool then they do school pick ups and drop offs. And I would be I. The comfort of my own home.

Fingers crossed please ladies!

PetiteRaleuse · 08/01/2014 12:32

soph that would be ideal fingers firmly crossed x I need a work from home job.

tits (((hugs))) poor little mite

StormyIsles · 08/01/2014 15:08

Right 7:39. What is it? Do I need this distraction in my life? Or Sherlock? I'm feeling particularly socially inept in my office today as I have nothing to contribute to the chat. I know I do not need CBB in my life Grin

StormyIsles · 08/01/2014 15:08

Oh yes and everything crossed sophia ! I really miss working from home Hmm

ChasingDaisy · 08/01/2014 15:52

Jabs done. Horrid. He is now sleeping it off. Need to wake him soon though otherwise he won't sleep tonight.

Isles 7:39 is written by the guy who did One Day. A two part drama about a couple who meet on the train and have an affair. David Morrissey and Sheridan Smith. I enjoyed it.

chasing said it. I can only cope with mini dramas like this at the mo, two or three episodes I can't seem to keep to a longer series now I have kids. Is perfect.

Lydiejo · 08/01/2014 16:11

Have only read the last several messages but your show this morning sounds like the one here called the view. I stopped watching several months ago after they criticized a mom for nursing too long and were saying stupid things like "you should definitely stop when they get teeth" and basically making bf out to be something shameful and gross. The kicker is they were then asked how long they bf... One lady said 24 hours but it didn't work out and the other said she didn't because her baby was early. Makes me mad. People not showing support for it when they probably could've used more themselves.

flouncymcflouncerson · 08/01/2014 16:21

vq the surgeon said I can go back to work as any damage I do he can repair when he next goes in. I'm not sure how work will react, they've not been great but I can't control it. I can't live like this. It's even worse than pre surgery, physio said it's cos bladder wasn't as heavy so wouldn't be as uncomfortable as this all is now :( it's just shit!!! So I'm going to be off and will then go down to half pay. It's 8 months in total!!

Someone mentioned pinterest upthread?

Elizadoesdolittle · 08/01/2014 16:35

poorly baba here. I thought it was teeth (bottom left side biggy coming though) but she has had a high temp all day and its now 39.3 so more calpol administered so hopefully will come down. She's drinking water and milk so at least not getting dehydrated.

I have the 7:39 or whatever it's called to watch on my planner so glad it's good. DH is out tomorrow night so will watch it then.

YellowWellies · 08/01/2014 16:40

We enjoyed 7.39. There's some great acting in it. I thought the cuckolded (not the right word for a woman but yknwim!!!) wife was excellent, and the script in places was fantastic.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/01/2014 16:48

I always miss the good stuff on uk tv. The hour's difference plus dh not wanting to watch tv in English after a day at work mean I see more cBeebies and You've Been Framed than anything else.

I gave up on daytime TV a few months ago apart from a lunchtime episode of Friends on French TV followed by a really good news/politics show also on French tv. Sometimes I'll do a catch up on a documentary but that's it. I spend my time reading/researching/studying and cooking and cleaning Having iplayer would ensure I never left my sofa again. Ever.

Sophiathestormfairy · 08/01/2014 16:55

yw did you see the Thirteenth Tale last week, think it might still be on I player, had the same actress in it and was really good too?

PetiteRaleuse · 08/01/2014 17:03

The int'l version of iplayer costs €8 a month but has masses of stuff on it. All the costume dramas, loads of david attenborough stuff, all of Luther. It looks amazing. But I'd never stop. I have 15 years of TV to catch up on!

ChasingDaisy · 08/01/2014 17:03

You would struggle to find any TV drama without Olivia Colman in it at the moment. She is fab though.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/01/2014 17:12

Who?

You see? Starved.

PurplePidjin · 08/01/2014 17:39

Ditto, PR we could have recordable tv for £7 a month but i daren't put any more pressure on the creaking budget at the moment and all the good stuff is after i want to be asleep! Hollyoaks and himym for us then Hmm

Lily311 · 08/01/2014 17:43

I watch 2 hours of telly perc week.don't miss it.

Have a sick baby, got antibiotics. I'm so fed up of illnesses.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/01/2014 17:46

Oh no Lily LO is just coming to the dnd of a course of antibiotics for a suspected ear infection. I really worry about antibiotics.

Lily311 · 08/01/2014 18:06

I really worry about O getting ill all the time. 4th sets of antibiotics since October.

Sophiathestormfairy · 08/01/2014 18:34

That is quite a lot of Antibiotics. Could she be building up a resistance?

horseylady · 08/01/2014 18:52

Hello quiche!

Thanks so much my ss for the very very thoughtful present!!!

Hope you're all well.

Ds rambles loads. He copies a lot of things we say and do.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/01/2014 19:24

Just opened a well deserved and beautifully chilled bottle of white wine. Didn't notice the sticker I had put on it which clearly says don't drink, for cooking only. Ffs. I bought it for less than a euro to use in the onion soup I never got round to making. I really wanted a glass of wine tonight. Would help with all the scheming I have to do.
