Hello ladies,

Thought I would start you off. We can just keep this a stats thread until we all deliver and then move across if you like.

Happy belated birthday enormouse sorry I missed that yesterday.

That's what they lookes like to me humpty but I couldn't work out why they are soo much cheaper than other similar nappies. Do you know when yours will be delivered? I wonder how slim fitting they are.

fryingpantoface · 16/03/2014 08:50

My period has started again. As it started on 26/2, lasting a week, and now started again, I'm not happy.

and my face has swollen up from getting ny wisdom tooth out.

woah is me

TobyLerone · 16/03/2014 09:40

nature, we're using the LL bamboo sized ones with the separate wrap. I bloody love them!

And I use the LL bamboo breast pads and they're great. No leaks, just like the nappies :)

TobyLerone · 16/03/2014 09:41

The nappies are pretty big, though. They definitely give her junk in her trunk.

fryingpantoface · 16/03/2014 13:00

I like the idea of reusable nappies but dh isn't keen.

as it is, a big box of nappies for Henry is £6.60, and two of them last over a month which isn't too bad.

MrsVDB · 16/03/2014 13:18

Happy belated birthday enormouse

Junk in her trunk Grin

Naturegirl82 · 16/03/2014 14:45

Haha junk in her trunk Grin That's what has put me off a couple of the nappies as they are just so bulky

So I managed to go for a run. Managed 1.5 miles which after having a year off I was quite chuffed with. Tired now though and think I'll feel it tomorrow.

Naturegirl82 · 16/03/2014 14:48

frying my dh wasn't sure about reuseables but now he has tried them he is very much on board. would it be worth trialling them to see what he thinks. The fill your pants website lets you try them for 3 weeks to see if cloth is for you.

Mythreeknights · 16/03/2014 15:41

hmmm, I think Lucy has got an umbilical hernia. Her tummy button never really healed up and always had yellow goo, but this morning all the goo had gone and instead there's a pink tube poking out (like the head of a worm). Anyone have any experience with this? Am slightly lamenting my lack of ability to create perfectly formed children!!

TobyLerone · 16/03/2014 16:49

My DH wasn't keen on reuseables either but now he's positively evangelical about them!

mythree, Meredith has a bit of manky pink fleshy crap under her belly button, too. The GP put silver nitrate on it at her check on Weds and we've to go back in a couple of weeks to have it done again. It's called a granuloma.

Pidgy · 16/03/2014 20:06

Our nights seen to be getting worse!! I met up with work colleagues today for a pub lunch but was too tired to really chat. :-(
Can't seem to shift this cold either. 2 1/2 weeks now. It's gone to my sinuses now.
Anyway, enough of the whining! Sorry!

Toby is it granuloma or granulation tissue on her belly? Sounds more like the latter to me. It's when your body goes into overdrive trying to heal a wound, often when the wound never properly heals, or takes a while to heal. I had this with DS where I tore. Really hoping it doesn't happen again as it took a GA to remove and then another op under local anaesthetic with silver nitrate.
I think granuloma is to do with your immune system trying to remember back to my degree which seems a lifetime ago. They use the silver nitrate when it's small and it should get rid of it pretty fast.

mythree sounds like granulation tissue too if it didn't heal properl for a while. The yellow discharge is a symptom too from what I had. ( sorry if tmi!!). I'm no doctor tho so worth getting it checked out.

TobyLerone · 16/03/2014 21:25

GP said granuloma, and that's what she's written in her red book.

Pidgy · 16/03/2014 21:51

Oh, ignore my post then!
I'm sure my thing was granulation and it sounds the same but as I said, I'm no doctor! Sorry toby.

TobyLerone · 16/03/2014 22:26

No apology necessary :o

TobyLerone · 16/03/2014 22:27

You're right, though, Pidgy. Wikipedia says so. GPs are not infallible!

Angelesque · 17/03/2014 07:41

Mythree Toby Finn had a granuloma - we had to dry it out with salt once a day. Seems better now, but going to get HV to double check tomorrow

fryingpantoface · 17/03/2014 09:33

Morning all!

last night was awful. Henry slept next to me in our bed until dh came to bed and moved him (dunno what time) but I was up with him at 2.30 for 15 mins, then 3.15, then at 4.00 i woke dh who settled him by 4.30. And he woke up 10 mins later, so i gave him his dummy. Then he woke again at 5.05 so i made a grumbling dh go. Then he woke again at 6. In between this I had ds1 fall out of bed, then he went back to sleep. Then came in again. He woke up four times.

basically, no sleep, swollen mouth because of wisdom tooth removal, hurts to swallow and open my mouth.

woe is me!!

what's everyone doing today?

FelixFelix · 17/03/2014 09:45

Frying that sucks Sad also boo to wisdom tooth pain!!!! I am waiting in for the bednest to be collected and replaced by a new one, and also a new blackout blind to be delivered (SO EXCITED!!!). Then driving lesson tonight. I'm so bored...

Swannykazoo · 17/03/2014 09:54

Hi frying - we're recovering after a weekend of my genuinely crazy father visiting. - phew! Feel quite sorry for DH having to suffer him but he doesn't really understand that I find his parents very very difficult too and at least everyone in the family agrees about my Dad's craziness and it can be quite funny after he's gone and everyone has had a gin

I was delighted to get Hugh to go down into his bednest on Fri night, woke up to find him curled up with me 3 hrs later Hmm
He can't roll yet so I really don't know how he got there. Wonder if he got to the edge then gravity rolled him down the wee bridge bit. DH is sure I moved him but I got quite a fright when I woke up....

I have loads of wee jobs on my weekly job list (write them all down to help with baby brain/sense of achievement when ticked off) but for now I'm just pottering about with Hugh in the stretchy wrap snoring and enjoying no crazies

MrsVDB · 17/03/2014 10:04

Oh dear frying sounds tough. Hope you have an easy day

Anyone with constipated babies have you tried comfort formula? It worked next day for Henry

Naturegirl82 · 17/03/2014 10:26

oh frying doesn't sound good, I hope you manage to get some rest today.

I'm off to have my eyes checked this morning, then meeting a friend for lunch. Then this evening's task is to put up curtain rail and curtains (hopefully) although more likely sat on the sofa with a baby attached to my boob and carry on writing thank you cards for all the presents we got.

TobyLerone · 17/03/2014 10:34

Sorry you had a crap night, frying :(

We're going to the GP today, because I think Meredith has reflux. I've been hoping she hasn't, but she's exhibiting a lot of symptoms :(
Then out to lunch with my sister, and then GCSE options evening at DS's school. The headteacher's presentation thing isn't til 7.15 and Meredith has usually been screeching for an hour by then, so it should be interesting!

FelixFelix · 17/03/2014 10:49

Ahhhh health visitor just turned up and I totally forgot she was coming as she booked the visit yonks ago when I last saw her. Still in my pyjamas! At least they are my nice ones and I have brushed my hair this morning. So glad I vacuumed the house yesterday....

FelixFelix · 17/03/2014 10:53

Toby if she does have reflux it might settle down. Sylvie was on gaviscon with every feed, but now a couple of weeks later she's only having one sachet every couple of days and that's it. I don't think she even needs that, as sometimes I will give her it thinking she's crying because of reflux then she does a massive fart and she's fine Grin

TobyLerone · 17/03/2014 10:59

That's reassuring. Thanks, felix :)
