We bf to sleep. I figure he'll outgrow it eventually, in fact it'll probably be the last one to go, so why rush the growing up process. A few times I've had caffeine or something and he's gone in awake so i know he can, we just prefer the snuggles. And my hv is a twat so she can fuck off if she doesn't like it Hmm

Looks like my periods are finally back Sad it's gonna be a doozy isn't it Sad

StormyIsles · 05/01/2014 20:29

Boo to periods pp

I have been on a pretty much constant period since April and the bastard implant was fitted. Bar a scary 10 weeks in August/September of nothing. I am seriously considering having the damned thing removed.

ditsygal · 05/01/2014 20:32

We also moved to cuddles rather then rocking. since then he has decided he doesn't want to be cuddled to sleep for naps so I lie on my bed with him rubbing his back and that works - but we still cuddle and milk at bedtime. He usually falls asleep on the bottle so I think eventually i will have to move the milk to before the bath to disassociate bed and milk...

Passmethecrisps · 05/01/2014 20:38

I agree with being relaxed about the nighttime bottle. Like bp it is the only time I get snuggles and I am in no rush to change that. My feeling is that it is important that bedtime is relaxed and manageable for all. Once you have achieved that then who cares what others think?

PurplePidjin · 05/01/2014 20:40

My last one was 24/2/2012 Shock lochia finished well before Christmas too, I'd nearly forgotten how to put a pad in! I had the implant Feb last year and apart from the bruising haven't really noticed it...

StuntNun · 05/01/2014 20:40

Thanks Isles Wink Dinner was amazeballs if I do say so myself. It's vDH's and my last fling before we're back on the diet so I had - get this - two potatoes and dessert burp! We had smoked salmon with wheaten bread and lemon slices for a starter. Roast chicken with lemon gravy, perfick roast spuds, honey glazed parsnips, yorkshires (for them that are allowed eggs), steamed broccoli and carrots poached in vegetable stock. Delish! Then vDH outdid my roast chicken with homemade panna cotta with raspberry coulis all rounded off with a lovely coffee and rather large glass of Wine so no bf for J tonight! We are all stuffed and the diet starts tomorrow so no more carbs for me.

Sounds absolutely delicious! Yum.

Wish I liked smoked salmon.

Does anyone else get not well without any actual specific symptoms? I feel like utter turd but nothing I put my finger on. I feel very hot and have a red blotchy face but have no temperature, I do actually have a sore head but generally just feel completely wabbit. I have had lots of sleep today but still feel like I could just close my eyes and sleep for a week.

StormyIsles · 05/01/2014 20:53

Evilwater · 05/01/2014 20:58

PetiteRaleuse · 05/01/2014 21:10

stunt that sounds amazing roast chicken is on of my favourite meals.

YellowWellies · 05/01/2014 21:24

Isles you're quite right legally you are perfectly entitled to withhold rent where there is no heating. Absolutely! Just wasn't sure how long you meant for! I worried you meant until September Grin Also realised my last hastily written post (as DH was chivying me into the car) ended abruptly with a Envy really sorry if it sounded rude Blush . I had meant to add 'seeing the new car had made the landlord greedy'. I know he's a grasping bugger in the village and I bet seeing your 500 made him try his luck hence all his shit about missed rent. Congrats on the house - what a fab target to move towards this year. Lovely. Just don't get stressed out in any you and P against the world dramas (he does seem to love those and there are much less stressful ways of bonding!) - if its too much hassle move into another rental for an easy life as your happiness is important too and your landlord sounds a slippery troublemaker. Sometimes being happy is better than being right iykwim?

We're in Derbyshire now having woken up in kent, lunched in Oxford, suppered in Nottingham. Am shattered! Still KFC and Wine for tea! Woo ha!

Going back to read thread.

flouncymcflouncerson · 05/01/2014 21:40

Hubby is alive but very sorry for himself. I have the period from hell but can only use pads til cleared by surgeon. Have appt on tues which will be fun if it hasn't slowed :(

I've posted on FB for advice if anyone has time to help. Not baby related at all!

Em....I'm rubbish and can't think of anything else.

I'm joining gym this week and am trying to do an asda shop just now. I've forgotten how to be healthy!

BigPigLittlePig · 05/01/2014 21:44

YW you'll be some time catching up - load of gobshites!

Gutting re periods pp, bastardidng things. I seriously enjoyed having none for the duration of bf. Nasty beasties.

Stunt - yum.

Isles, share the house porn if you will.

Evil, F is either silent, or shouts at top volume. I thought of you, aand the quiche in general, when F had a tantrum in the supermarket. She flings herself back so she is lying on the floor like a jelly. Vair amusing. The reason for her tantrum? Reasons. I wouldnt let her eat the cat food, or push the trolley. Seriously.

Have just spent an amazing hour utting dsds room. It was already a bombsite, fill of the shit that only a 6yr old can accumulate. Well, no more. It's definitely a work in progress, but there's a big pile of charity shop stuff, bin bag of rubbish, and lots more to sort. Heaven Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 05/01/2014 21:45

Utting? Gutting.

flouncy, forgot to say that it was great that dhs party was a true surprise, although less great that the makeup case had to be sacrificed!

FatimaLovesBread · 05/01/2014 21:47

Quick post, another night of M refusing to go to bed. We are now in bed together watching a bit of tv. Had enough of trying at the mo.
I'm hoping going back to work and getting back in to normal routine and early starts will get her sleep sorted back out. She has massively swollen gums as well with two molars pushing there way through so hoping they come through soon or give us some respite.

Hugs to sophia your playroom sentence made me Sad

Yay to the new house isles

Yay to the shag chasing

DH and I walked down the aisle to Jack Johnson "Better Together"

Managed to get Ms hair in to pigtails, just to see if I could, today! The back of her hair is really curly but quite long.

M is currently saying 'roar' over and over, it's going to be a long night

Passmethecrisps · 05/01/2014 21:52

Oh yeah! I want details on exactly what happened to the makeup case!

StormyIsles · 05/01/2014 22:00

YW I can only assume it had the same effect on him as when he told P 3.5years ago he couldn't afford to employ him anymore and then 3 weeks later a half million pound boat turned up in his yard? Prick. He has angered everyone in the village and I feel like a mug for standing up for him for so long.

I actually don't have a link for the house but it is one in the DB development (totally opposite side from my mum, the decision eventually came down to schools, childcare proximity and a much nicer feeling development with lots of open spaces - my mum being there was actually a negative point). Same house type as this one . I am trying not to get my hopes up as a lot could change between now and the hopeful build finish date of September. But for now I can secretly google sofa choices and paint colours and update my pinterest board accordingly, right?

BigPigLittlePig · 05/01/2014 22:16

F is currently mumping and moaning and squealing away, becayse she keeps scooting up her cot and headbutting the top. We still have the cot bumper in, good job tonight.

YellowWellies · 05/01/2014 22:28

Isles Grin sounds like a good karmic poke in the eye to him for the yacht!!!!! Bloody hell on the house you don't do starter homes do you!!!!! Smile

YellowWellies · 05/01/2014 22:31

It's v lovely BTW! I love big family room / kitchens.

YellowWellies · 05/01/2014 22:37

Sophia birdman is the first book but IMHO they get better when Caffery moves to Bristol in book 3 Smile

StormyIsles · 05/01/2014 22:39

I am not working 50 hour weeks running my business and being full time mum/worker/everything and he isn't working 84 hour weeks for nothing Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 05/01/2014 22:40

Isles My last house (rented, but Barratt home) was very very similar in design. I loved it! The bedrooms are bigger in yours though! Very impressive - 4 double bedrooms WOW!

I love it!

FWIW I'd withhold the rent too, if I was in a position to be able to move and the LL was being a dick over repairs. I always used to worry if I did it they would want me to leave, and I never wanted to right until the day he gave me notice he was selling, and I gave him notice right back that I'd had my mortgage accepted that very day and would be moving. The house still hasn't sold 6 years later Grin.

Chasing You are a beautiful woman. I am not surprised to hear of your successes with the male species Wink Grin

O doesn't associate milk with bedtime any more. He can go down without a bottle. We now run fast and loose with bedtime routines! Grin

Some days he doesn't get a bottle now, some days he just gets a cup after tea.

I enjoy how he enjoys the bottle though, and it's a nice cuddly end to the day, so wherever possible, we do it.

This evening we have been out for a meal Shock. O in tow! I am super impressed! We don't take him for meals generally, I just don't see the point. Plus with us doing SW we don't go out unless for special occasions we used to eat out for tea at least once a week!. He was a little hyper while we ordered, but soon settled in the high chair for a full 3 course meal and coffee. My Dad and his wife are here, and they like a leisurely meal, so was absolutely dreading it.

For the first time of eating out, O ate a meal off the menu. We have NEVER been able to do that I might have shed a secret tear as impossible pretty much to get no tomato and no dairy meals. Now tomato is okay, we have options! He had a spag bol. Loved it Grin. And then he grazed his way through 3 breadsticks, a box of raisins, a large banana and a load of sweetcorn rings. Plus he had his bottle of milk sat in the high chair. (Took it as a comfort thing in case he was tired/unsettled). Not sure where on earth he put it. I am expecting a poo call tonight though... Hmm. When we got home at 9.45, I just changed him, and put him in the cot, and that was it. Straight to sleep.

Sometimes, they throw in little surprises, don't they? :) Love it when they aren't devil children at just the right moment!

Fatima I think I could put O's hair in pigtails. Skinny-as-fuck-and-only-on-the-side-pigtails... but still Grin His hair is going to be just like mine. Looks very thin, but actually, there is shit loads and it's much thicker to run your hands through. My hair is deceptive! It DEFINITELY keeps changing from red to blonde. It's quite bizarre
