Drinks on Flouncey then! That is a lot of money.

PR hope the vom goes quickly.

I have done the application, so will sleep on it, check it tomorrow, then send it in.

ValiumQueen · 08/12/2013 15:31

I have spent £7 on J for Christmas. He has a lot of re-gifted stuff, and a Personalised Stocking that I won, but I have only spent £7. I have only spent £30 each on the girls, but have got stuff for them from GPs also. I spent his money from them on Playmobil stuff with a Christmas theme so he will get to play with it eventually honest Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 08/12/2013 16:05

I can't believe how much playmobil costs.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/12/2013 16:18

LO has been napping for over two hours. I'm thinking leave her to sleep. She's not coughing so not puking, and must be low on energy. Dreading tonight though.

Not feeling so well myself. DH has gone for a nap and DD1 is up from a long nap which she coughed throughout.

Well done on getting the application in vq

Sorry you argued with xp chasing but at least you don't have to deal with him again til Thursday.

ChasingDaisy · 08/12/2013 16:21

I have bought Oscar some building blocks, crayons and paper, a puzzle and a book for Christmas. That's his lot from me.

ValiumQueen · 08/12/2013 16:39

Yes PR it is expensive, but it is good quality and will sell well. I got it either half price, or free with my Tesco vouchers when they did the double value event.

I have also bought a few bits and bobs of Lego to put away for future years. The other day I spied a blue box of lego in Sainsburys for £5 and it is usually £15 or more. I always try to get a bargain.

Chasing I hate it when they smell of Nursery. I can imagine it is even worse when they have been at an ex's house. Not impressed by the silly clothes either. But remember you get to clothe him most days, and he knows your smell best x

PurplePidjin · 08/12/2013 16:59

I have spent £16 on pfb R, VQ - a Duplo train, some magnetic stacking blocks and a poundshop twizzle toy. He will get satsumas and dates in his stocking. A combination of skint and not actually wanting him to have bazillions of toys. He has love etc, i want him to know that's enough.

He's going to be a shepherd in the Sunday School nativity though Xmas Grin

ValiumQueen · 08/12/2013 17:08

I spent £5 on DD1 for her first Christmas. A Little Tikes piano in the sale. It is one of Js favourite things.

PetiteRaleuse · 08/12/2013 17:10

Sorry wasn't criticising you buying it vq I just get Shock when i see the price, and know the dog would chew it :o

I don't know how much I spent on the girls. A bit more on dd1 than on LO. €5 on dh :o

PurplePidjin · 08/12/2013 17:14

Same as for Playmobil, i have a Duplo farm from when i was little that has had a Milton bath and will go to R to play with soon. My mum got him this with a piece in each Advent calendar pocket, and he's already enjoying taking it apart I'm stupidly excited about putting it together according to the story so i can see many years of use; for him, siblings, and as my parents did visitors with babies.

PurplePidjin · 08/12/2013 17:16

Dp is getting fuck all off me this Christmas after his total lack of effort on my birthday. We can't afford a charity shop book in pretty paper for me yet he's got 2 yes two new (charity shop) books to read HmmAngrySad

PetiteRaleuse · 08/12/2013 17:18

Duplo is great. We just have bricks as cheapest to replace when the dog nicks them. Can you see my line of thinking when getting presents.

YellowWellies · 08/12/2013 17:21

VQ your J sounds really musical.

We met Santa - Jonas hated it!!! Grin Comedy pic on FB. Now decorating the tree and he's right in there 'helping'. What are all the babies which are ignoring the tree doing instead? Flashy lights, shiny things and breakable stuff = irresistible to my son Envy .

Jonas has got a spinning top, a Mothercare copy of the old Fisher Price garage, some cheapy cars off eBay, some wooden blocks (his Wigilja present which he can open on Christmas Eve) and a xylophone shape sorter but we were buying for my Nan too so the shape sorter is from her. Spent £40 in total but Christmas is always more of a big deal in our family. He also has a Christmas outfit and new PJs for Christmas eve after Isles tradition. This year's Christmas book is 'The Night before Christmas'. My sis, her DH, his recently bereaved Mum, and their DCs are staying over on Christmas Eve so really looking forward to celebrating with the three kids aged 4, 2 and 1.

ValiumQueen · 08/12/2013 18:08

I would never take your comments as criticism PR Grin Have you seen the price of Sylvanian fucking families? I think the playmobil will last better than them, which is why I am encouraging them for DD2. And they are unisex too, but the Sylvanian is pretty girly.

Yes YW he does seem quite musical. He can copy a tune of a few notes which I think is amazing.

ValiumQueen · 08/12/2013 18:09

PP we have bits of the playmobil nativity in the pockets of our calendar along with little books. I am hoping that will be a tradition too

Lily311 · 08/12/2013 18:38

O is getting a book and the squeaky eggs from amazon. Spent £4.29 on her altogether, worth £15. Cheap mummy but I don't care. I bought her a pillow in ikea and mum is making one or two cases for it, that's her present for O. I requested no toys but my siblings will get some for her:(. I spent £40 on my 4 nieces and nephews but the whole thing is worth about £80. I made a photobook for my dad and mum and will do some handprints on canvas too. That's it for me.

Santa's meet was great here also, pic on Facebook. She is traumatised:) but I enjoyed taking pictures of her.

We have some duplo, I hate the fuckers. They are everywhere, under the bed, behind the shelves, mixed with other toys. O likes to chew them.

Lily311 · 08/12/2013 18:38

Oh, and obv I bought present for myself. Won't wrap it though.

ValiumQueen · 08/12/2013 18:53

I think you should wrap your gift Lily Grin

ChasingDaisy · 08/12/2013 18:56

What did you buy for yourself Lily?

Lily311 · 08/12/2013 19:06

A photo wall calendar and photo notebook.

I just ordered a sledge for O. Not for Xmas but as an essential winter item Grin.

FlouncingIsles · 08/12/2013 19:24

I am drooling over ideas for our Christmas day menu....

GTbaby · 08/12/2013 19:36

Pp my sis bought that duplo book for H I made her return it. Also bro bought wooden blocks which also went back. We have nephew blocks somewhere. He has so many toys so he is not getting more. And we have loads from when he was born still unopened.

I have bought him a packet of fat pencil colours. And when he is ready to use them will buy a roll of wall paper lining.
He never opened his main bday gift from me (wooden instruments) so will give him that.
Oh I forgot I ordered them a few books lol
I'm going to buy A a lil toy a rattle or something.

I bought FH two t shirts. Dm n ddad a photo mug with a pic of them and the boys. PIL magnets with photos of boys.
Then niece and nephews get £20 (x5!) each spent on them. But I've decided that nxt year I'm going to buy items through out the year with value of £20 rather then ask them in nov what they want.

Passmethecrisps · 08/12/2013 19:39

Evening lad and lasses.

We went to ikea today for want of anything else to do. P insisted on walking the entire time. Round and round and round including flinging herself on the sofas, beds and bean bags much to her own amusement.

Inspired by pikz we bought a 15 aperture frame. We will use the extra 3 for some kind of text or maybe pictures of ageing pussy! We bought a mini-poang for my nephew's Christmas and book shelves for p. She helped DH put them together and then helped me by removing every item I put on. She also reminded us to install cupboard locks by silently but delightedly presenting DH with a bottle of sherry and one of rum.

GTbaby · 08/12/2013 19:50

Oh and Xmas day was discussed today. What a palava!
Ill give you short version.
It's FH and my turn. We mentioned it to mil. She isn't happy about this. She has a bad back. Dad is not 100% after op and I have two babies and FH is working until 3.
I've said I don't mind doing it.
So now bils and sils are saying we will have Xmas meal at their own homes and then get together here for an evening meal. I STILL GOTA COOK. So how that helps me I don't know. And then I miss out on Xmas dinner as ill be alone with kids. Xmas dinner for 1! I can't be bothered with that. And it's a lil depressing tbh. PIL will be at the temple at this time. Don't know why I'm telling u this? Blush
I'm just rambling. Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 08/12/2013 19:57

Against all instinct I gave LO a little bit of milk and some food for dinner. She ate about a third of what she would normally eat, drank squash and kept the lot down. Result. A different baby from the scary pukemonster of this morning. Is in bed now, humidifier on, will see how the night goes.

DD1 hyper. Total nutter. Is eating so much atm must be a growth spurt.

Night quiche.

Ps, as I go into toy shops about once a year I don't know if France has been blessed with Sylvanian Families. I do vaguely remember them from old tv adverts. They're squirrels aren't they? Playmobil gets suggested to me by Amazon for some reason, which is how I know the prices.
