Apologies for the x-posting that meant there's no thread link in the last thread Blush.
I'll start this one and hope people find it.

Hi everyone! In my sleep deprived state I thought I had posted on this thread the last couple of nights!! I guess not Grin

How are you legally? Hope your babies are better. Thinking of you!

Hope baby moon and baby flowerpot are better too!

Well done to your dh bronze it must have been really stressful.

Haven't been out without dd yet. Must get my pump and the bits out to have a look. I hated expressing last time as was such a faff and I never got much out..........

Hi notso maybe you can do what gtbaby suggests re Facebook?

I wonder how oddlife is doing? I don't think we heard back after her csection

Ok I'm rambling now, sorry Blush

chickieno1 · 15/12/2013 02:13

Whoops I killed the thread ......

Sephy · 15/12/2013 03:20

No you didn't, it's just sooo slow these days!

I'm still grumbling about blocked milk ducts on one side. Spent almost all Saturday with heat or massage etc attached to boob, and tried expressing as well as her feeding. No change.

What's the chances I can persuade dh to try sucking it out? He's really squeamish so I doubt he would. Probably might make things weird if I even asked...

whistlingdixie · 15/12/2013 05:26

Sephy - why don't you ask HV / MW if you can borrow a hospital grade pump to help unblock duct?

JellyCurls · 15/12/2013 05:44

Morning ladies sorry I have not been posting much life has been a little hectic. DD is in full sensory overboard with Xmas (queue behaviour issues, tics and toiletting accidents!!) she can't help it but its so tiring. DS has decided clothes are for wimps and strips off at every opportunity his fave time is when we getting in car for school run, how he manages a full strip by time I get DD into car seat and click in a baby seat I'll never know and Jelly baby is still failing his development checks for poor head lag Sad. GP has agreed not to refer him to peads but will review again at 20wks so lots of hated tummy time and sling time to see if we can strengthen.

Hope all sick babies are getting better and mums getting a bit more sleep x

JellyCurls · 15/12/2013 05:46

Oh and at 10 wk check he weighs 15lb Shock and is over 64cm long, nearly out of 3-6 month clothes already. I fear I have produced a giant

Hugs jelly Biscuit Wine Cake Brew

Bronzemoth · 15/12/2013 10:58

Jelly sorry you are having such a bit of a tough time. I think being a bigger baby can make physical development a bit harder at times. N is definitely behind some of his tiny friends when it comes to head control. He hates tummy time as well and falls asleep in his sling. I'm sure they will catch up on the end.

GTbaby · 15/12/2013 18:23

Notso you can edit FB to not include anything from our group in news feed. Try that?
Or would he still go onto the group page?

pinkbuttons · 15/12/2013 21:41

For once it hasnt taken me very long to catch up...
legally how are you and the twins? hope you're all feeling better now and havent had any more hospital trips.

jelly sorry to hear you're having a tough time it really does sound exhausting. I can imagine being a big baby would make physical development harder since they have more weight to hold up. hope all ok by time of 20 week check.
Isla had her paediatrician appt.on Friday and she was so so lovely it nearly made me cry. said all the right things about how exhausting it must be feeding hrly and constantly cleaning vomit and then upped I's dose of ranitidine and started on domperidone. seeing us in 6 weeks to check progress and weight. Am also allowed back on dairy as no change at all after a week. so thankyou all for your support am feeling much more positive now that I feel like were trying something to help her. Smile

Christmastimemoonbluesandwine · 15/12/2013 23:33

Hello. Trying out my new Christmas name. :)

Thank you for all the support. Baby moon is looking much better. Hardly coughing at all now, though still more refluxy than he was before.

GT I'm not on Facebook. Though might get persuaded into it as missing all the chat.

jelly and pink sorry you've both being having a tough time. Hope things improve. Legally hope the twins are better.

Will try to post more regularly!

What are you getting your DPs for Christmas - I'm totally out of ideas... Xmas Confused

whistlingdixie · 16/12/2013 00:20

Hmmm Xmas cards & pressies are at the bottom of my to do list... But time waits for no man or first time mom with newborn baby!

I figure this is the one year I can get away with presents plastered with pics of my LO... Calendars, canvases, cups Grin Wink

whistlingdixie · 16/12/2013 00:23

Hope those of you with poorly LO are all on the mend Thanks and that you're all getting some sleep / a break Brew Cake

FeministInTraining · 16/12/2013 01:13

Checking in after a very long time... Sorry to see so many poorly babies, hope they feel better soon and that their mums are well supported.
Brew Jelly things sound very hectic, I hope it settles down soon and that tummy time gets a bit easier. R isn't a fan of it either- 91st percentile with a heavy head and impatient legs, he struggles.
Glad things are looking up Pink I hope the new meds make a difference.

R's cradle cap is finally clearing up. Was v bad, entire forehead crusty but now good as new... Until dry rash, GP says baby eczema he will grow out of it, given epaderm cream and told to keep greasy. Fair enough. But I've noticed he gets little red bumps around his face and on his eyelids. It got worse today after wiping his eyes with cotton wool and boiled water- could cotton wool be irritating it? We haven't used any soap/baby bath/shampoo etc for a couple of weeks now although we're now using Olaitan in it. It's always around bath time... Face, neck and a bit on his back. Legs and tummy fine. No temperature or difference in behaviour it's strange...

notsoold · 16/12/2013 07:13

Gt I could try again...I tried last time and postings still went into news feed.... So would anybody be able to add me on fb???

Jelly ds was a heavy although skinny looking tall baby...it did affect physical development but eventually he got there.... And it was the same regarding walking and running ....but not shuffling bottom!!! He is absolutely fab although not a good runner ( it shows in football) but excellent long distance swimmer as being tall 5"11 at 14 helps ... ( pain to wait for his 50+ laps and then messing about in pool but never mind) :)...

Feminist...it could be the cotton wool??? They go through chemical processing to look so lovely and white....any chance of other .material?
Dd had eczema everywhere since a baby but controllable but being careful with chemicals and had to tie my hair ( shampoo with strong
Materials) and no perfume...iykwim????
Hope it helps.....

Question please: do you find that baby clothing shrinks a lot??? J is growing but not that fast!!!:)
I was around 30C and sleepsuits etc gets smaller and smaller! Is that just me??

PseudoSanta · 16/12/2013 07:18

I do hope all is ok with Legally and the twins and DD?

Bronzemoth · 16/12/2013 10:55

notso the Facebook posts go into my newsfeed but I've confirmed with dh that he can't see them from his account. Let me know if you want adding

Usefull hearing other feedback of larger/tall babies.

JellyCurls · 16/12/2013 11:14

Thanks for all the tea and cake ladies as well as hearing about bigger babies. DS was a bit bendy also and crawled at 6 months so no JellyBaby will get there. Taking him to a baby chiropractor tomorrow to see if they can free his neck a bit as it's now only turning to the one side.

Can I share my proud mummy moment? DD has just been awarded her clubs disability gymnast of the year award - not bad for a girl who would allegedly never walk Grin

Bronzemoth · 16/12/2013 11:54

jelly of course. Well done little jelly!

I have a few air miles to use up in the next couple of years, I'm wondering when would be a good time to travel with a little one? I doubt he'll remember anything but from a practical point of view I'm wondering when would be easiest? Neither dh or myself are beach people so it would be more fly drive perhaps in Canada?

OrangeBlossom2 · 16/12/2013 11:58

Xmas Grin proud mummy jelly!

Thomas just had his injections. Fingers crossed for no pain and lots of sleeping.

Dr referred me to a gynaecologist to fix my bits!
Agreed not to medicate Thomas' reflux/silent reflux as hasn't been so bad this week and hoping has fixed itself/ TT snip or not giving bottles has made a difference.

Feminist I'm sure you know this already but only use one piece of cotton wool per eye and only wipe once to not spread any infections. I can't remember if you are bf? Breastmilk seems to clear most eye problems. The corner of Thomas' eye was red this morning and gone since squirting it with milk.

OrangeBlossom2 · 16/12/2013 12:55

Oh dear we got multiple rotavirus poo explosions and crying instead of sleeping it off. Not going to breastfeeding group, going to cuddle my calpol filled wingey baby at home instead and try to find another group later in the week.

FeministInTraining · 16/12/2013 13:41

Well done little Jelly!

Oh dear Orange hopefully he won't feel bad for long. R has then tomorrow and its clearly on my mind as I dreamt I went to a random dark hospital and left him at home forgetting he needed to be there too. And I waited in a room for ages and realised he was with DP and I hadn't expressed Confused

Thanks for breast milk tip, I tried it weeks ago when he had a crusty forehead and gave up as it didn't seem to work. Will give it a go on his eyes when he removes himself from me! We are using separate pieces of cotton wool for his eyes, maybe it's the bleaching chemicals as notso suggested. Will keep an eye on hair and make sure not to wear perfume. I would say I want to wrap him up in cotton wool but I can't! Maybe a muslin.

OrangeBlossom2 · 16/12/2013 13:43

Grin feminist

notsoold · 16/12/2013 14:45

Bronze i sent you a friend request.thank you for helping me!!!

Slippysnow · 16/12/2013 15:24

Hiya all,

orange I hope your calpol baby's bottom improves.

feminist nice to see you, c had a gunky eye and breast milk really cleared it up. Has your lo got a cold?

jelly it's amazing to hear your little girl is winning awards after the doctors predictions. Similar thing happened to my brother, the doctors couldn't diagnose his mobility problems and said he may not survive, then may not walk. Now he is walking and studying a phd in chemistry!

Because of his history c had his hip scan today, thankfully he has two working hips :)

Also I've had my pgce interview sprung on me with 5 days of preparation and major baby brain!!
