Apologies for the x-posting that meant there's no thread link in the last thread Blush.
I'll start this one and hope people find it.

Shooting how exciting! I would be fb stalking, too.

flyer they're from South Manchester and maybe Cheshire. I'm not familiar with the area. I know what they do for a living and I just don't get it. Some of them must be great at financial planning. I'm shit at that so I just avoid very expensive things.

Shirehobbit · 10/12/2013 22:19

shooting - I can't c+p the link, but do you mean Kelly Jones?! Shock Wow!

Ana - that's the very reason I didn't do NCT in this area of South Manchester (I'm Trafford) as the meetings were in Hale. Before you even factor in that I don't have daily use of a car, I knew I'd be in a very different financial position to Hale/Bowden residents.

I'm getting all jealous re Facebook. Please can someone add me if I PM them?

ananikifo · 10/12/2013 22:27

MrsA pm me your name and description if profile photo. I'll have to add you as a friend first.

MrsAFlowerpot · 10/12/2013 22:32

Thanks Ana!

Flyer747 · 10/12/2013 23:03

Yes shire I can imagine being with the residents of hale and Bowden with their range rovers and footballers wives lifestyles (does that sound terribly bitter?!)
Luckily liverpool isn't as posh as South Manchester and Cheshire.

Shooting off to google this singer I'm crap with modern day groups ( bit of an 80's freak here)

textbook · 10/12/2013 23:49

Legally sorry to hear (on fb) that your brood are poorly - hope they're on the mend now Smile Also Thanks to everyone else with a poorly baby - T had a horrible cough a few weeks back and it terrified me every time she made a horrible choking sound. All better now though.

Finding it increasingly hard to keep up with the thread here, particularly with the run-up to Xmas I think. Definitely don't want to lose touch with the people not on fb though.

Hope everyone is good this evening. I'm having Wine in the bath while dp feeds T!

Sephy · 11/12/2013 01:44

Well I am excited to report a brilliant evening! She slept on me from 4:30-5:30, went straight back to sleep after a feed and barely stirred when I transferred her to her carry cot on wheels while I ate.

DH worked this eve, so I wheeled her through to the bedroom at 7:30 and slept before she woke at 9 - then she's only just woken again at 1.

Wonder if some of her crying today was over tiredness?

Sorry about your nct group ana but good compromise. Ours is going for a walk tomorrow - social, good for babies brains to be in nature, and free!

KarmaBiatch · 11/12/2013 03:08

hey legally, just drove over from facebook to give you and the twinnies a GWS cuddle, sorry to hear that they're not 100% at the mo, sending best wishes xx

(initials PD)

notsoold · 11/12/2013 06:43

Still reading !!!
I also live in south Manchester and that was the reason I didn't join the nct here!!! Maybe we should do our own ' nct' :)

Sorry legally for such a difficult time you had.

Sephy impressive!!!

Xxxx to all!!!

( back to lurking corner)

OrangeBlossom2 · 11/12/2013 07:49

Much better night here. How is everyone this morning?

Soupqueen · 11/12/2013 08:00

We had a good night too. It took a while to settle her but she went down about midnight, then up at 6!

Immunisations today so not sure what effect that will have.

She has been diagnosed with reflux. My fab GP put us straight onto Ranitidine without wasting time on Gaviscon. She doesn't think it works and is a nightmare if breastfeeding apparently.

In other news, I've booked a hairdresser appointment for Sunday so will be leaving G with her Daddy for the first time. She'll be almost 9 weeks old so I really do need to do it.

Thanks to all the poorly households.

pinkbuttons · 11/12/2013 08:21

good night here in that Isla slept 11-5 I didnt get back to sleep after that though as seems were having a bad reflux day and DS wakes at half 6. still need to remind myself ive had a block of 6 hrs

injections here today too Sad shes already so snotty but have my calpol at the ready.

Glad dr gave you the ranitidine soup hope it helps x

Shootingstarsandcomets · 11/12/2013 09:47

Yes shire Kelly Jones.
Okish night here just one feed at two but he woke at 4 really struggling to breathe but then went back down until 7.
I would have steered clear of a South Manchester nct too- not wanting to be a snob but too many 'new' money footballer types for me.

Flyer747 · 11/12/2013 10:13

Yes shooting in their juicy couture track suits and hair extensions Grin orange tan and big sunglasses. What a bitch I sound Smile

notsoold · 11/12/2013 10:17

Shooting and flyer.... Lol :)

Our money is not new or old...just inexistent and nowhere to be found....

Jealous of block sleeping!!!

roxvox · 11/12/2013 10:59

Maybe we should add a new spreadsheet with our mumsnet names and our real initials? I know that a few of us have the same initials (me and OrangeBlossom for instance), but it will help to narrow down who is who if we're not sure!

ananikifo · 11/12/2013 11:29

What makes me sad is that NCT group are lovely people and I wish I could afford to hang out with them more.

I wouldn't mind a spreadsheet with my initials but I bet people can make the connection between my mn name and me on fb. I wish I could think of a more creative nickname but I can't. I've been using this in various forums for years.

Shootingstarsandcomets · 11/12/2013 11:40

Not a bitch flyer just truthful! I was going to write that but deleted as didn't want to offend anyone but that's exactly who I mean and they usually drive a range rover evoque or sport very badly!

xuntitledx · 11/12/2013 14:14

I'm another in South Manchester - how many of us are there then? :)

Had my first night out last night, missed LO desperately and felt very anxious...not helped by forgetting to charge my phone, d'oh!

By the time I came home, my boobs were like boulders so I had to express from both sides aswell as putting him on for a feed.

He took the expressed bottles okay eventually but it took my mum 15 mins of screaming before he took the first one and she panicked thinking she'd need to call us back before we'd arrived!

I have my post-natal check today and also an appointment with a dermatologist re. his granuloma - they mentioned silver nitrate to treat so just need to consult Dr Google before we go so I know what to expect! I can't bear the thought of him being in pain so I hope he'll be okay...

OrangeBlossom2 · 11/12/2013 14:26

Silver nitrate was suggested by gp for a little lump I had on my areola a few years ago (they ended up doing with a scalpel, but I didn't get to choose) and also when I got hit in the face by a child (accidentally!) and burst some blood vessels and was having nose bleeds every day. I decided to wait a few weeks and it cleared by itself in the end so no direct experience but think it must be quite a widely used treatment.

GTbaby · 11/12/2013 14:38

U can have a pinned comment. Which I have to do. Where we can write out MN name. Ill try do it now.

Wickedgirl · 11/12/2013 16:51

soup Amelie didn't sleep as well as she normally does. Last night she fed at 8.20, 10.30, 2am and 5.30. she normally gets fed at about 8.30 and sleeps through till about 4.30.

untitled my ds2 had to have his belly button "sealed" with a silver nitrate stick. It didn't bother him at all.

MrsHoratioNelson · 11/12/2013 18:26

Hello again all. Poor C is full of a nasty cold - see my FB post re snot sucking! - and it's horrid seeing him choke as he coughs :(

I need to think of a new NN because my Mum winkled it out of me at lunch. But she did buy me a lovely lunch at carluccio's so I can't be too cross. Zuppa di Pesce since you ask, it was delicious.

Shirehobbit · 11/12/2013 22:33

Surely something relating to your latest snot hobby would make a good nn, Mrs HN? Wink
