Apologies for the x-posting that meant there's no thread link in the last thread Blush.
I'll start this one and hope people find it.

Is anyone else's DH getting a PS4 tonight?

Mine is leaving me at 10pm to queue up and has booked some time off work over the next few days especially for it!

MrsHoratioNelson · 28/11/2013 21:04

Friend left finally at 8:15... No progress towards dinner made and I'd been feeding for an hour.

He at least had the decency to look sheepish as he re-entered the kitchen.

ananikifo · 28/11/2013 21:08

orange and flyer I hope T and A are better soon. The HV said she was seeing loads of babies with colds today and feeding problems are normal. She did also say some babies just slept off viruses, but I guess we didn't get those. I wouldn't be worried if today's weigh in had gone as expected. I really should have refused it this morning.

Flyer747 · 28/11/2013 21:16

Omg baby A will not stop screaming at the end of my tether now. She's cried since 8am this morning

ananikifo · 28/11/2013 21:27

Hugs flyer. I hope she calms down soon. Thanks

OrangeBlossom2 · 28/11/2013 21:42

Lovelybitofsquirrel · 28/11/2013 22:19

Sorry you've had a bad day flyer, I know it's no help but remember the mantra, this too shall pass

MrsHoratioNelson · 28/11/2013 22:26

FFS DH now asleep on the nursery floor while I'm awake feeding C. He cannot possibly be that tired.

Shall we all have some Wine?

Flyer747 · 28/11/2013 22:29

MrsH I need a bottle of gin one
Measly glass won't do Grin

So A is currently using my nipple as a dummy, I don't give a shit she's finally quiet.

Flyer747 · 28/11/2013 22:34

And just to add what really fucks me off dp changes her nappy and never ever buttons her baby grow back up, he just leaves the bottom undone hanging open! Idiot. I'm in such a foul mood tonight!

Shootingstarsandcomets · 28/11/2013 23:02

Have another Wine flyer
Am desperately trying to dream feed B. He won't have it and won't wake, I've even put him in his Moses basket to see if that'll wake him but he's still asleep. Grrrrrr.

moonblues · 28/11/2013 23:45

MrsHN your last post made me laugh! Could you accidentally trip over him. More Wine needed all round I think. :)

moonblues · 28/11/2013 23:53

Don't worry when I was 38 weeks with ny DD, an old lady asked me when I was due and then said 'I pity a child being brought into this world!'

Do you think it's the same woman roaming the country spreading joy and happiness?

moonblues · 28/11/2013 23:59

jelly sorry for your worries. My DS was a bit slow to get control of his neck and the health visitor advised tummy time to try to get him to build up his neck muscles. Do you think that might help your DS2? Are they seeing him back again to check it in a couple of weeks?

Sephy · 29/11/2013 02:56

Wow, it's quiet on hear tonight / this morning. Hope it means everyone's having lovely restful nights.

I'm getting better at resigning myself to little sleep for a while - having her sleep on me really is lovely and im sure I'll miss it when she's all grown up.

notsoold · 29/11/2013 03:06

I am finally catching up with the thread!!!

I would love to meet up in Manchester!!! I swear I am better at talking than I am at writing!!!
Is that still happening???

Jelly...my ds was the same and the hv said about tummy time.????

emmoB13 · 29/11/2013 03:12

I think baby H is going through a growth spurt! I used to get 6 hours from him on a night but no longer! Last night and tonight, he's fed every hour since 6 taking a full bottle, dozed on and off and been a little cranky and is now awake again and taken another full bottle! I don't no where he's putting it all!! Anyone else experiencing this? I'm at 9 weeks.

To add to this, my DP's dad and his wife are coming to visit today as thy are holidaying further north so doing a pit stop. They are staying tonight so I had planned to get a good clean on today and be straight for their arrival in the evening - only for DP's dad to text at 10pm to say they have decided to drive through the night (coming from Dorset to Yorkshire) and will be with us at 7.30am!!!!! So I shall be entertaining alone I see until DP back from work and it's my sisters first chemo so had wanted to go see her before hand :( urgh.

Sephy · 29/11/2013 03:17

Aw emmo that's really tough. Don't worry about the state of the house at 730, they really should have given you more warning if they expected perfection!

OrangeBlossom2 · 29/11/2013 04:05

Emmo maybe they can help you clean as they will have so much extra time. Or suggest they go to bed all day as drive all night.

Sephy another night of T sleeping on my chest here too. It was lovely to feel him snuffling around gently waking me for a feed and it is nice and snugly, you are right. And I am much less anxious about smothering him now for some reason and can sleep through it. Not great for my back or rib cage but helps him breathe at the moment. Getting lovely smiles between feeding. Making me feel very appreciated.

Flyer747 · 29/11/2013 05:15

Oh poor sniffly T orange I hope the wee lad is better soon.

Emmo I echo what someone else said get them to help you clean.

Notso we are arranging a Manchester meet up.

So shall we arrange a date in January if everyone prefers jan instead of dec? Would we like lunch time any particular day of the week that is best for people and we can get a fixed date.

So after a day of pretty much non stop crying and total hysterical screaming if I dared to Put her down, baby A finally settled at 10pm ish, poor girl must have tired herself out from crying and not sleeping at all in the day. She fell asleep in my arms and I transfered her into her carry cot where she's slept soundly all night until 445am when she woke for food, she's now fed and asleep on me,going to attempt the transfer in 10 mins.

I hope everyone is having some zzzz tonight

Mnippy · 29/11/2013 06:22

Glad baby had such a long sleep flyer!

DP also likes to change baby then return him with the poppers undone because he can't be faffed to do them up. That said, watching DP fumble incompetently around with the poppers is a bit stressful and does exercise the pelvic floor muscles...

MrsHoratioNelson · 29/11/2013 07:15

Glad you got some rest Flyer.

We had a really good night here - DH settled C after the last feed and redeemed himself slightly so C went down at midnight and I'm only just feeding him now :)

Racheld33 · 29/11/2013 07:39

flyer so glad you finally got some rest! Wine

Any day good for me for the manchester meeting (will just get DH to look after DS)

I'm going to have a DH moan now. Been up hourly since 12, so at 4.45 gave her a massive feed and decided now was the perfect tine to go to the spare room for 2 beautiful uninterrupted hours sleep before DS wakes. Woke DH and told him, she's just been fed, will be fine till 7, if/when she wakes just cuddle her back to sleep. I got in the spare bed at 5 and 30 mins later he is at the door with a crying DD saying she needs a feed, I cuddled her for 5 mins and she fell asleep. I've been up since then doing the same thing every 20 mins because she's always unsettled at this time and he has gone downstairs since cos he couldn't sleep, and I cam hear the tv booming! Grrrrrrr

Haylebop12 · 29/11/2013 07:51

GOOOOD MORNING! Can you tell I've slept better?!

Isaac asleep 9-3, fed and back down by 3:30-6:30. At last!

However, my nipples are unbelievably sore so having the day off today, lots of lansinoh and air time. I didn't get the call about TT on Wednesday only then to find out she wasn't in anyway (she only does Wednesdays) even after i get the call it could be another week! seriously working out if I can to private but had my first total SMP pay today. £513... I knew it was bad bit jeez!

I'm definitely up for a Manx meet up. Even driving its 1hr20. January is fine by me :-D
