Worked perfectly here PR - still v excited and busily plotting Grin DH couldn't understand why I was grinning/chuckling to myself.

52 weeks ago, I was mourning the fact that only snow boots would fit my massive fat feet, about to gorge on mince pies and custard and brandy butter before heading on up to bed for about, ooh, 30 minutes, before my waters broke. And dh asked me if I had wet myself.

Charlee I don't know what to say tbh. The whole situation just sounds like a bad dream. I really really hope things pick up for you soon.

Chasing face-slash aside, are you all set for date day?!

YellowWellies · 22/11/2013 20:41

Thanks Charlee. He sounds a charmer Envy what a horrible thing to say after a mc. Sad

Ok least of your worries but.... By 20 weeks the pup should be going outside 95% of the time - if he's put the effort into toilet training. He needs to get a move on with the training.

fruitpastilles · 22/11/2013 20:42

charlee so sorry for your loss. I'm not surprised you are feeling the way you are with all that's going on. S's birthday was much the same but the other way round. My family couldn't wait to see her, dp is one of 7 and not one of them even texted him to wish her a happy birthday, let alone saw her.

brockle have you sorted your gift already? That's quick!

S is currently army crawling along the floor, stopping to lick it every so often. I put her to bed at 6 Hmm
She has really smelly breath at the moment, I brush her teeth - well as best as she will let me. Any ideas what it could be? I was thinking a sore throat but then thought I'm probably over thinking it and she's just a stinker haha.

YellowWellies · 22/11/2013 20:45

Hershey's tastes like candle wax. Boak....

Chocolate in the freezer - no no no I don't want to lose my teeth. Chocolate dunked in a cuppa. mmmmmmm

Gosh all you ladies can eat dairy but but but... you're doing it all wrong!!! Grin After 10 months off the brown stuff I've got vair fussy.

YellowWellies · 22/11/2013 20:47

Fruit smelly breath is a classic reflux symptom - has LO's sleep gone to hell in a handbasket? Especially in the second half of the night?

fruitpastilles · 22/11/2013 20:50

Yes yw it has. She has never slept so badly, not even as a newborn!

BigPigLittlePig · 22/11/2013 20:51

Another one here with stinky breath. What's the max mg/kg dose of ranitidine? I haven;t weighed F in ages, just keep upping the dose every so often. But she smells of acid and won't sleep and is a clingon.

YellowWellies · 22/11/2013 20:59

I don't know the ranitidine dose as it only worked for J for a week - sorry BP. J's breath has been all funky and acidic once I was having dairy more than 1-2 times a week. And his sleep went pear shaped. Boo.

Fruit I wonder if S has reflux from teething? Maybe try tilting the cot so the head end is raised?

fruitpastilles · 22/11/2013 21:00

Yes I'll try that, thanks, do you think I should take her to the doctors, or would they think I was crazy for taking her in for smelly breath?

Glendathegoodwitchessecretsant · 22/11/2013 21:01

My work is also done Grin

Ho ho ho

PetiteRaleuse · 22/11/2013 21:05

I have a toddler with stinky breath but she's just refusing the toothbrush atm. Any tips? She used to love brushing her teeth.

yw do you really think tis a wind up? The office ghost thing?

Erm. Anyone tested smoked salmon on their LOs? Went down a storm here. Compensated with water but put it this way: 4 slices was everyone's dinner. DD1 polished off 3, LO stuffed a whole slice in her gob then nibbled it til it was gone.

And they've nicked most of the accompanying salad too!

When will we get our lovely evenings back????

Brockle · 22/11/2013 21:05

I'm lurking and thought I'd posted by mistake. I'm confused! Confused Smile off to sort out SS Smile

fruitpastilles · 22/11/2013 21:06

I thought she had outgrown her reflux, she only had it mildly and I didn't need to get another bottle of ranitidine once she finished the first. I had no idea smelly breath was a symptom.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/11/2013 21:08

I was wondering if fruit's issue wasn't due to a switchover to cows milk?

Misslaughalot · 22/11/2013 21:08

Charlee gosh, what a time of it you've had. Take your time recovering from the mc, be kind to yourself x

PetiteRaleuse · 22/11/2013 21:09

I can't remember bf /ff history sorry.

YellowWellies · 22/11/2013 21:10

PR I didn't catch the first two threads but there's just too much signal to noise for me. And she really needs to put a camera somewhere without a logo.

Fruit if S is not sleeping it could be reflux pain from teething? There's no harm in getting it checked out.

fruitpastilles · 22/11/2013 21:11

I am switching her over pr yes, doing half formula and half cows milk, actually, she's had a few runny nappies, which I put down to teething, but it could be linked couldn't it?

fruitpastilles · 22/11/2013 21:13

Dp is a cunt aswell. He's up at 4:30 for work tomorrow and has asked me to sleep on the sofa with S so he can get some sleep - neither of us have had much lately. He pisses me off when he says 'but I need to get up for work' - what the fuck does he think I do all day, sit on my arse and watch telly? Needless to say we won't be sleeping on the sofa, cheeky bastard.
Sorry rant over.

YellowWellies · 22/11/2013 21:16

Get back on the meds and I bet sleep will return Fruit - bad breath is stomach acid and partially digested food coming back up the throat. Sleep at the end of the night is worst affected as acid can pool in the throat all night and the pain is worst at this time. We've had a fortnight of waking at 5 and I'm trying to figure out if its me eating trace dairy or we need to up his meds. If you have just switched to cow's milk I'd maybe reconsider?

Grrr our monitor seems to have lost its sound after a certain bear lobbed it across the room Envy .

YellowWellies · 22/11/2013 21:18

Fruit that makes me think its the cow's milk Sad

GTbaby · 22/11/2013 21:19

Been slowly catching up all day. So from the random bits I can remember.

Galaxy or dairy milk is good. Infact any choc at all would be great right now. Stuck to sofa feeding.

Baby Whi chooses their own outfit. Wow.
Isle I felt same before writing my list.

Kyz very impressed with your lo

Stunt hope talking about it helped x

Pr thanks for sorting SS

Hmmm I fancy a mars bar now.

H is crazy with a box of tissues. He pulls out pulls apart. And on occasion will try to eat them.
He also likes to bang hard plastic ball on radiator.

And that's it. Can't remember anything else.

Is anyone putting non walkers in "coasting shoes" considering it as H has never worn shoes and I'm worried he won't want to.

ChasingDaisy · 22/11/2013 21:20

Fruit, your DP should be sleeping on the sofa!

PurplePidjin · 22/11/2013 21:23

Smoked Salmon nicked from grandma's plate is hugely popular here too, PR

I know i promised a hat but I've just started this amazing sweater pattern using a stitch i never knew existed... Erm, Christmas jumper ok? Blush or R can have it and I'll knock up a hat next. What's the posting deadline?

PetiteRaleuse · 22/11/2013 21:29

Ok. Am just going to give you what I get advised, don't flame my fat arse, ok? I muttered, with both dds about switching to cows milk at 12 mo. Paed bolloxed my arse with dd1 said ok, if you must, be v gradual. Never got there.

DD2, suggested the same at nursery. Big Shock faces and I switched her to a half and half follow on milk that you people don't have or don't believe in. She's fine.

Dairy is a huge step from either ff or bf. most kids will cope. Some don't. Dairy milk is packed full of proteins that some LOs can't handle yet. Follow on milk cuts them out.

There is a scientific reason that us continental parents give our kids follow on milk until 15-20months. It's partly lab influence but my paed says ( and this is a paed who NEVER gives drugs unless necessary, right up to ordering bizarre potions to avoid pharma based prescriptions) to go from first ff to cows milk very gradually.

So, those of you having trouble going from ff to dairy, maybe look at the follow on for your brand? I know nhs is against it, but maybe try?
