Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

:o I figure our LOs will very soon be at the point where they give as good as they get. DD1 is much better since she tried on the same kind of behaviour with her toddler friends at nursery and realised, when they fought back, that hitting and pushing isn't nice. She generally only gets mean when she is tired now and LO tries to steal her toys or get too close for comfort. DD1 loves hugs but on her terms, she doesn't like people, anyone, trying to force hugs on her.

ValiumQueen · 09/11/2013 14:26

J has bitten DD2 a couple of times so she is beginning to be a bit more respectful. It bloody hurts. He draws blood! I discourage it obviously.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/11/2013 14:29

Was he trying to kiss her? LO gives us some nasty nip when she is being all kissy.

ValiumQueen · 09/11/2013 14:45

No, he knows exactly what he is doing. I think he was a crocodile in a previous life. His jaws clamp shut and he gets this look in his eyes Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 09/11/2013 14:57

:o that sounds like a perfectly plausible explanation :o

ChasingDaisy · 09/11/2013 15:10

I would hate to have seen XP at the age of 2 Hmm Although his sisters wouldn't have taken any shit. I wonder if his strong, overbearing sisters (all 3 of them) had any effect on how he has turned out.

Anyway, Detective, that doesn't sound good. Poor O. I would definitely get him seen. Two bouts of illness here in as many weeks has been a shock to the system after a previously healthy baby. Better get used to it I guess.

Hairdresser didn't listen to what I wanted so I'm pissed off and hate my hair. Of course I told her it was lovely and thanked her very much. I am so British.

I am now at home, being grumpy and miserable at having to spend the whole weekend alone. Woe is me etc etc

TheDetective · 09/11/2013 15:18

Feck! The Detective household has the lurgy! DS1 complained of a headache. His temp is 38.8. D'oh! He is never ill.

OOH said bring O in to be seen.

O is miraculously fine right now, but then I know he could go back the other way any minute so l'd rather he was seen anyway.

Can't drag now ill DS1 out with me, neither am I happy to leave him home like that.

So DP is on his way home.

I did ring my mum first to ask her to come over. I never got that far as the conversation was very teary - her dog died at lunch time.

Doesn't rain, it pours? Right?

PetiteRaleuse · 09/11/2013 15:25

Hugs Detective maybe DS1's symptoms will give you a clue as to what is up with LO. Glad you're getting him seen.

Donnadoon · 09/11/2013 15:42

chasing I havnt been to the hairdressers since january for that same reason, what did she do/not do ?

Evilwater · 09/11/2013 16:04

Hello everyone,
Both N and I both have some throats and the sniffles. Of course P went over the top and asked me to wear a mask, and not kiss him and breathe on him too much Confused apart from that he has been a perfect dad!

Confused Confused Confused
So it feels a like I'm losing my mind, and my sanity. I'm questioning whether I should leave him?

Evil

ValiumQueen · 09/11/2013 16:25

Evil, that man has a screw loose. You do not.

FlouncingIsles · 09/11/2013 16:26

Chasing I always hate my hair after a haircut. Give it till monday and if you still hate it, complain. I think you should put photo on fb and let the quiche decide.

I have done some bluff calling and am currently sat in a&e with scotland's biggest hypochondriac. (sp?) he fell asleep en route himself on thursday apparently. 2 hours in and so far they havent found anything. Shock Shock Shock Hmm

FlouncingIsles · 09/11/2013 16:27

evil words fail me.. Did you pay that deposit?

YellowWellies · 09/11/2013 16:32

Evil I think your P has some real issues about illness. He sounds crackers!

Isles (great NC btw Grin I love it!) good for you on the bluff calling. I'd be so tempted to mention in a sweet and silly voice that the last time you tried to leave him he developed a life-limiting condition and gosh it seems to have happened again. And that a bunch of strangers to him predicted it would Wink. I hope you're not there much longer, it can't be a fun way to spend a Saturday xxxx

I'm freelancing today. Clearly. Not MN. Noooooooo.....

FlouncingIsles · 09/11/2013 16:36

"I am sooo sorry I have put you under so much stress this week, darling. Normally my dreadful stroppy behaviour would give you a migraine, but kidney stones AND a ruptured spleen? Jeez what a shit person I am." He actually thinks I am being sincere.

I havent quite hit bordom threshold yet. This is people watching heaven, and Matilda is happily destroying the place.

ValiumQueen · 09/11/2013 16:37

Wah I'll get MN HQ to remove that last post with your LO's name on!!! Sorry Isles

ChasingDaisy · 09/11/2013 17:13

I saw the FB vid before I read the thread and almost got worried about you being in A&E but then thought that it was highly likely to be your P! Grin

FlouncingIsles · 09/11/2013 17:23

Here dont worry, my mn name is hardly subtle.

FlouncingIsles · 09/11/2013 17:25

Oh and docs have confirmed him as a timewaster Grin

ChasingDaisy · 09/11/2013 17:43

I was going to post earlier, asking if my O was the only quiche baby not standing independently yet....

...and then XP texts to say that O just stood up for the first time. And I wasn't there to see it Sad. I deal with all the shit, look after O when he is ill, implement routines, plan all his meals and yet XP gets to see him standing independently first. I know it isn't his fault etc etc but I am in a shocker of a mood today so I'm feeling dramatic about everything.

ChasingDaisy · 09/11/2013 17:48

In fact, I feel like dramatically flouncing out of my life today. Except, I am alone all weekend so nobody would actually notice.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/11/2013 17:48

Bloody hell wasting hospital time like that is not something I would put up with. I have known some hypochondriacs but they normally think they are ill. This is cold hearted manipulation of you without any thought for how busy the doctors are or who needs them far more than he does it is vile behaviour. Please don't take that the wrong way.

PurplePidjin · 09/11/2013 17:49

Noooooooo gt that's not my point! My point is that you can get through this, you are strong enough and you can cope! And that it gets better!
