Aveeno is what you guys seem to have. La Roche Posay cicaplast b5 is recommended by our doctor.

PetiteRaleuse · 04/11/2013 18:45

Moisturising will help anyway.

PetiteRaleuse · 04/11/2013 18:53

Ooh they're right it has git worse today. Thought it looked better this morning. Bugger. Hate having to eat words.

YellowWellies · 04/11/2013 19:05

Argh my tablet reading list is now 20 books long! Grin Thanks quiche. That'll keep me going 10 weeks. I'm really chuffed that I manage 30-50 minutes a day thanks to our bedtime BF and cuddle. I'm back to reading as much as I did when commuting - I love my reading time.

Chasing I meant to say boo for the standing up. But better to weed out such wastrels up front! Your London trip sounds lush.

Lily good luck with the in laws Confused .

Pidj I hear you. My only breaks from J have been freelancing and one two hour pub trip! It must be lovely to have doting GPs to hand to ease the load but with post jags whinge-baby I'd probably overexploit it to the point where J wouldn't recognise me - so it's probably a good thing! Confused.

Right he's in the bath. Home. Familiar surroundings. Calpoled up. Let's have a better night please. I'm going to go to bed the same time as him I reckon - that sometimes flukes a random sleep through! ha as if

ChasingDaisy · 04/11/2013 19:16

Can I just ask what the quiche babies are sleeping in now it is colder? O is currently in a long sleeved vest (as of tonight, was short sleeved before) pyjamas and 2.5 tog sleeping bag.

PetiteRaleuse · 04/11/2013 19:22

Vest, PJs and a light duvet. They don't really do sleeping bags here, we have different guidelines.

Passmethecrisps · 04/11/2013 19:34

Blimey sleep training keeps you fit! DH decided that today self-settling day. He did really well I thought. Asleep within a few minutes for nap 1 and within 30 minutes for nap 2. Minimum to no crying. So I decided that bedtime should follow. She has been in bed for 30 minutes and is nearly there. No crying but some whimpers and shouting. She keeps standing up then looking confused. If she is silent but I know she is standing up should I just leave her be?

P is currently wearing a short sleeves vest, baby grow and a 2.5 tog bag. Her room is currently 21oC but will get a lot cooler during the night.

I loved looking through the stats list. Also a bit sad though. I was sure p's due date was the 8th but apparently it was the 7th. And some of the names are fabulous! I had forgotten many of them. We have such fabulous taste!

PurplePidjin · 04/11/2013 19:56

Wool longies, long sleeved tee shirt, 1 tog bag with window ajar as his radiator only does full blast and it's stuffy. Plus he's a little warm from teething - #6 has finally broken through but the pooing, dribbling and chewing ramped up today and he needed calpol to sleep

I had the most amazing day. Play group this morning, then my friend stuffed us full of delicious homemade pizza, then our other friend came and we went for a walk in the forest for an hour with our babies in their slings. Neither friend grew up here, it really made me appreciate how lucky i am to live here :)

YellowWellies · 04/11/2013 20:01

J is in short sleeve vest, sleepsuit and 2.5 tog bag as his room will go down to 16c in the wee small hours. He'd normally be in a long sleeve vest but he's still hot from MMR / toothageddon. At my aunties he was in a short sleeve vest and a summer bag, with windows wide open as it was roasting and he was feverish.

Passmethecrisps · 04/11/2013 20:06

That sounds fabulous pp! Love homemade pizza!

P's bedroom will go down to 18 possibly 17 if it is very cold outside. The heating won't kick in at night unless it is Baltic.

GTbaby · 04/11/2013 20:42

Who likes the bargain threads?

If you see any Jeremy stone books or anything match attac (??) can you send me a link Wink. Gota start buying Xmas gifts.

Bought H a fat colour pencil box today. Is he to young for that? Probably!

Today he ate his first cracker himself! Like picked it up off table and put in his mouth! Gutted I missed it.
He then picked up A's milk bottle and managed to get teat in his mouth! But it was empty. Lol.

Is it bad to drink vodka n Joyce while bf?

PurplePidjin · 04/11/2013 20:51

A very small one with lots of mixer should be ok. Drink during a feed when you can be relatively certain not to feed again for a few hours. Afaik, if you could drive you can bf.

YellowWellies · 04/11/2013 20:59

Less than 0.5% of the alcoholic content will go into your BM GT so one should be fine. I drink and BF (just a small glass of wine 2-3 times a week) - needed some hedonistic pleasure in my cheese and choc drought!

Right - bed...... so far so good on the sleeping bear stakes. He's going to wait until I've nodded off isn't he? Envy Hmm Smile

Zamboni · 04/11/2013 21:03

S is in vest, babygrow and 2.5 tog sleeping bag. Our house is v cold according to my family. Rooms 16 degrees now. I don't like warm houses, makes me ill. But I do have my shower set to scalding. S and DD are made the same way - they were both bright red after their bath this eve!

Evilwater · 04/11/2013 21:20

For the good news.
Well the deposit is down, I just need my sister to be guarantor and I think I can move in by the end of the month. :) I have my benefits check next week, so I hope they can help.

For the bad news.
P has told the MIL that I don't want her in the house at all, and she is very unhappy. Also that I want her to move, again she is unhappy at this. So all in all not good.

Evil

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/11/2013 21:25

evil That's fab news re the house. So glad you paid the deposit. Re the mil stuff, once you're out of there none of this is your problem is it? Sorry, I'm not fully aware of the situation with your mother inlaw so excuse my ignorance.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/11/2013 21:28

Drool homemade pizza pp

I meant Vaseline in my fb post pikz not sudacream. Hmm

I too am Envy at London trip. I wonder has Belfast anything to offer! Hmm stunt what is twinkly and Christmassy in Norn Iron? Or maybe Dublin for day?

Started watching House of Cards today really enjoyed it. First one anyway.

What was the film you watched pr sounded like one my and DH would both enjoy. Please don't say was in French!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/11/2013 21:30

Great news on the house front evil agree with eliza mil is not your problem! concentrate on you and N.

Is cold here so we have long sleeved vest, sleep suit and long sleeved sleeping bag. At night.

Zamboni · 04/11/2013 21:44

I think PR's film might have been "Olympus Has Fallen", sophia. We've seen it, was v watchable and non-demanding!

Well done evil. Just grin and bear the MIL stuff now. Did you make an apt with the GP?

Thechick · 04/11/2013 21:46

It looks like H might be the warmest baby. He is in 2.5 sleeping bag with a long sleeve top a short sleve vest and shorts or nothing. He room doesn't get below 21. Our house is quite warm generally,

ValiumQueen · 04/11/2013 21:46

Well done Evil x remember she will soon be ex-MIL.

J has been a horror tonight. Teeth I think. Unless he has eaten something he shouldn't at nursery.

Work has been horrid too, so tonight I would happily run away from everything. Had an email at 11.45 to say we had to vacate our office. I had everything packed within the hour. Everyone had gone out to lunch and came back to an office full of boxes. They were very impressed, as was I.

TheDetective · 04/11/2013 22:04

I think O might steal the hottest baby awards Grin. He is in a long sleeved vest and a 2.5 tog sleeping bag tonight.

He has a tendency to sweat at night.

His room is 19deg steadily at the moment. Unless the thermometer has broken Grin.

Usually he has a baby grow at night (no vest still) or PJ's, but his 6-9 month ones have all been disposed of as they are too small. I need to replenish his 9-12 ones with extras as all are currently in the wash cycle somewhere.

I will add a vest soon. It doesn't quite seem cool enough yet.

I have another quiche question. I bought O's birthday and christmas clothes today. I got him a set of dungarees from Next. They had matching pram type shoes. They are the cruiser type of ones with a little rubber on the bottom. So not totally soft, but not hard.

When we go out, he rarely walks except in baby groups. As in, I don't let him out the pram/trolley/sling. Unless we go to the park really. He isn't safe enough to not leg it to walk on a pavement or anything. He's totally walking, and confident etc, but I'm not about to let him lose in public any time soon Grin.

So his shoes - while great for the park, seem a bit cumbersome for every day wear. The girls shoes seem much more dainty when I looked. His are like clodhoppers Hmm.

What I am trying to say is, I think I might get him softer cruiser type shoes for now. I only want them to keep his feet warm in the sling or pram, so I think the hard shoes seem a bit silly unless he is walking outside.

Any thoughts? Different shoes for different activities Grin.

I also have a pair of wellies.

horseylady · 04/11/2013 22:15

vq we have a similar taste in authors!!!

Finger smith was an enjoyable read. As was Jamaican inn.

Ds much better. Thankfully!!! Thanks your fb help. Will catch up more tomorrow xx

TheDetective · 04/11/2013 22:17

WTF VQ what on earth happened?!

I got myself fitted for a bra today. What a treat Grin. Went to Bravissimo. I am a 34FF. Grin Awesome! However, it fucking hurts like buggery. Was whipped off as soon as I walked in home I kept it on out the changing room and chucked my old bra in the bin, classy lady!. Will I get used to it? It's on the loosest hook, but that is what they advise to use.

I also got myself some nice make up. Clinique were really nice, Mac, not so. Snooty bitches. I wear make up, but am not the 'type' of woman that probably shops there. I am not slim, slightly mostly false, top to toe in 'designer' shit. I still want decent make up though, and was asking for advice on the best product for my needs. I was pretty much ignored.

I felt rather out of place in Selfridges Confused. Anyway, I still got what I was after. Fingers crossed my mascara will stay on my lashes, and not on my fecking face now Hmm.

GTbaby · 04/11/2013 22:28

Can someone pls copy paste and PM me the crochet pattern PP wrote earlier. My laptop is broken and ill never get around to scrolling thro the thread to find it.

Just arranged cinema trip with sis. Lunch time so will take A and prey he sleeps Wink at least it will be dark for my first public feeding.

Many thanks. Will catch to now. While watching homeland.
