Sounds like it could be hop; think tomatoes are quite a common one, given that they're in the deadly nightshade family. OTOH, I also knew someone who was allergic to the little seeds in toms and strawberries, so that could explain the ketchup conundrum!

Glad it's working Oi. How's your DH doing, still v sore?

Has she gone to sleep now mopsy? The thread about the two-year olds is good though, seems like it's a funny age and we've got it combined with the joy of Xmas...

DS had a massive sleep this afternoon, and then we legged it out to the Outlet Centre to get him new shoes, he's a 7 and a half now. Made two batches of vegetable soup as well, and got removals quotes, so a productive afternoon Smile!

HopAlongOnItsOnlyChristmas · 05/01/2014 22:09

Well done on the sleep battles Oi and mopsy

Northern size 7 and a half? That seems massive! When did they get so big!

We have had bum nightmares this evening. After this morning's poosplosion, many a poo has been done. Even with changing straight away his bum has got so sore. He did a final poo just before bedtime, and I had to kind of hold him down while DH cleaned his bum as gently as possible and he screamed. He was obviously in so much pain. Then put him in the bath and he refused to sit down and kept crying to get out. There were a lot of tears (from him and me) as I explained that we needed to clean his bum properly so it would get better. I tried to gently pour water down his back to get him used to it and he absolutely howled. He was shaking, it was horrendous, I was sobbing as well and DH was trying to distract him. Gave him some calpol and he did eventually sit down for a little bit so we could get him clean. Poor little dude. I've put metanium all over it so fingers crossed it will do the job, he was asking for 'magic ceam, mummy?' as we refer to the yellow stuff as the special magic bum-fixing cream. Never giving him tomatoes again.

We're back in normal routine tomorrow, and I'm secretly a bit excited to have him all to myself for the day. Fed up of sharing him with relatives and DH who he prefers which is very annoying

Going to attempt to get his crazy mad professor curls chopped off tomorrow. And then a playdate with a friend. Also need to go shopping for lunch stuff as my new years resolution is to stop buying lunch and breakfast from Tesco/Starbucks/coffee shop. It's costing me a fortune!

QueenofClean · 06/01/2014 07:55

Hop - Hope Master Hop is less sore this morning.

Northern - Size 7 Wow! Sky's only just gone up to a 5 possibly a 5.5!

Back to school today Yay! Sky starts Dancing this morning too.

Have a good day y'all!

mopsytop · 06/01/2014 08:54

Oh the poor little thing hop. I hope it is improved today. Off to the library to work while mum minds minim. Horrid out. Not looking fwd to the walk to and from bus stop Sad

QueenofClean · 06/01/2014 11:52

Sky loved Dancing....didn't tire her out and we are going to have a healthy lunch of pizza, chips & salad!

ProfessionalKiller · 06/01/2014 17:50

Will post properly later, but DD did her first comando crawl today. Shock

5 months old, I thought I had more time to leave her on the floor and know she'd still be there when I came back...Angry

FalalalalalalaFiggy · 06/01/2014 20:00

Good going killer jr very impressed!!

DS has since we got back crying that he wants to sleep in mummy and daddy's room and the big bed - tonight he only cried a few minutes though Hmm

How's DS today hop?

NorthernChinchilla · 06/01/2014 20:07

Blimey hop that's a horrendous reaction, poor thing and poor you. Is it worth taking him to the Doctor's, just to 'register' it, and also to see if there's any tests to be carried out eg. to see if he's allergic to similar things?

That does seem so quick Killer, and I agree the stage of just being able to leave them in one place, even if they are surrounded by the contents of the knife drawer, with nary a though is brilliant. Ah, walking soon... do you still have the stairgates up Grin?

DS is still unhappy when being left at nursery, but it'll pass. Had a brilliant time putting him to bed- he dropped his dummy and said 'uh-oh', and I just said 'uh-oh, Cheerio!' back to him. This is the Funniest Thing In The World Ever. He has been repeating it for about half an hour and just squealing with laughter, I can still hear him murmuring it over the intercom...

More movement with the house, although the solicitor put the fear of Bob into me by stating he thought I'd applied for £30k less than we needed. Turns out he was estimating we owed far more on the house than we do, and had included all the fees and costs which we're paying for separately, but I'm definitely about ten years older from the Shock!!

Aethelfleda · 06/01/2014 20:53

All is quiet (ish) in the house... dH away on short business trip, finally dispatched the DDs to bed and will have to lever us all up tomorrow for school. Joy. Now have tidying versus papework to choose from before bed. Oh, more joy. On the up side I put our willow panels back up today when Ds was napping, so at least our fences are all repaired....

BobaFetaCheese · 06/01/2014 22:18

Arsebiscuits, had hidden fred...ov.found you all again!

DS1 had his first major 10 min tantrum today because DH wasn't here (had to phone him so he could talk to him)...beats last week 'woman! feed me via my feet' one.

Northen, Shock I can't imagine how crap that must've felt in the pit of your stomach, thank goodness he was wrong, £30k!
Good to have a comrade in the toddler with massive feet club, DS1 is threatening to grow out of his 7.5 he started wearing at the start of last month!

Killer, snap on the commando crawl today!

aethel how was your day out with dbro & co?

I'm feeling broody. Again. We can't afford another. Anyone fancy winning t'lottery with me?

TheOnlySeven · 06/01/2014 23:28

Can't believe your babies are commando crawling already, DD2 has only been doing it about a month, and still not sitting up unaided Confused

DD1 got her size 5's a couple of months ago. I have tiny footed children. DS is 5 and wears an 8.5!

northern hope you've had a stiff drink and recovered from the shock!

hop I second seeing if you can get an appointment for allergy testing. My friends DD has a tomato allergy, it flares up at various tomato based products but not others, and they've no idea what type of tomato does it, they just avoid them all completely now.

Me and DH will have been together for 10 years on Saturday, I've booked the same 60's restaurant we went to the first time we went out as a couple, can't wait but just hope DD2 behaves for my mum. Last time we went out we came home early because she wouldn't stop screaming.

QueenofClean · 07/01/2014 07:39

Wow crawling babies already how time flies!

Sky been awake since 5...tiredness combined with pmt not a good mix :(

Swimming today with Sky so hopefully that will sort us out.

Everything back to normal now all clubs have started again.

FalalalalalalaFiggy · 07/01/2014 07:39

Boba Growing out 7.5??? That's unreal DS is a chunk of a kid but only in 6.5 he got them in November and had been told not to grow his feet further until around April Grin I'm with you on the lottery win I always said I'd not want another at any cost but that has gone straight out the window now I'd live in a hole in the ground for another and everyone else seems to manage so why cant we. I'm 33 next week and feel the need to crack on Dh is being out through the mill again feel sorry for him .......a bit.

Back to the office today not impressed!!!

Aethelfleda · 07/01/2014 07:57

Day out on Sat was luffly thanks. Even picked up a bit of new 1980s vinyl!....

Now just got to work on getting DS to stay in his bed all night ho ho ho .....

Aethelfleda · 07/01/2014 20:56

We are trying out Sherlock on the telly.... sunday evening fodder on a Tuesday....

NorthernChinchilla · 07/01/2014 21:27

We were going to watch it tomorrow aethel, but DP has football so will probably save it for the weekend.

We DP really, the wuss are in a state of panic as it suddenly appears we'll be completing next Friday, and probably exchanging tomorrow. Have done lots of prep already, and so I'm quite chilled, especially as we're getting a packing service.

Just need the bloody solicitor to confirm the actual amount- although I've done my sums a million times I'm still twitching that I've somehow massively miscalculated. But given that it's (amount our house being bought for - equity), and then minusing that amount from the cost of the house we're buying, I can't see what could be wrong Confused! I've even allowed an extra £10k for all the buying and moving expenses.

Hope you have a good anniversary seven, and get to stay in the restaurant! Have you got a new outfit?

Good to see you back Boba, and again can't believe all these next set of babies are crawling. So, who's going to be the first to have no.2 baby following on from all of our Dec '11 ers Wink?!

Off to make lists, lots and lots of lists....

FalalalalalalaFiggy · 08/01/2014 07:16

Exciting times northern!!

I've been up since 5.45 DS chuntering away in his bed and the skunk coughing leaves me now post shower lazing on sofa trying to wake up. Zzzzz it's definitely a dry shampoo day full on hair washing would kill my sofa buzz Grin

HopAlongOnItsOnlyChristmas · 08/01/2014 09:27

How exciting northern! Fingers crossed on the maths!

Figgy (we need to get rid of our festive usernames) I feel you on the I got a good night's sleep but I just can't get back into waking up early.

Aethal Sherlock FTW!

DS is all back to normal after the tomato incident. He's had cooked tomatoes, tomato based sauces and ketchup, it just seems to be raw ones. We don't eat them very often anyway so will just avoid. Not sure about taking to the Dr as he's all better now? My mum suggested putting some raw tomato on the inside of his arm to see if it reacts. I'm not sure about that.

DS needs a haircut but I just can't do it. I can't. His little curls!

Aethelfleda · 08/01/2014 16:44

Sherlock was lots of fun! I especiall loved it when they got drunk and Sherlock's super-deduction went all squinky ("chair...comfffy...big sitty thing")!!

Boba, what is this crazy talk of more children?

Aethelfleda · 08/01/2014 17:00

Oh and hop, what you're describing with DS sounds like a (usually minor but annoying) type of food allergy called Oral Allergy Syndrome (the clincher in your story is that OAS typically happens with raw foods but is ok/less severe with cooked ones). Here's a info leaflet about it. If you think it's that, might be worth seeing your GP to discuss and get it put onto his medical record if they think it is that. In the meantime avoid raw tomatoes and keep the piriton in stock!

DS is currently watching wall to wall Baby Jake. Rock n roll...

NorthernChinchilla · 08/01/2014 20:29

Aaaargh, aethel, we've not seen Sherlock yet so I started to read your post and got to "I loved the bit where they got drunk" and then made my mind switch off and my fingers scroll the page down!! I can now see the last line of your post about Jake and nothing more....

We've not exchanged and we're not moving next Friday.
Muppet #1- our EA. They had taken it upon themselves to contact our solicitor and claim everyone in the chain had agreed the 17th to complete. They insisted this was the case, hence all the arrangements today. This was not the case, no-one had agreed it and it's the one day our vendor can't do. Why, why did they do this? They hadn't even asked us, and we'd originally said 20th onwards Confused
Muppet #2 vendors' solicitors. When our solicitor was trying to sort out above mess, he checked with vendors' solicitors about when bloke at top of the chain could do. They've not been in contact with him at all yet, and have no idea. Is this not their job Confused?!

Never mind.... on a brighter note, DS is fine with being dropped off at nursery now, so it's only lasted a couple of days.

I take it the rest of the day didn't live up to the sofa sesh figgy Grin?

We're in the same boat hop, still can't bring myself to get DS's hair cut at all, cos of the curls... I tell myself we won't be able to do it for years anyway, as the little sod will not sit still at all, so I have an excuse....!

TheOnlySeven · 08/01/2014 22:30

aethel can't believe you still buy vinyl :o

hop glad DS has recovered from the tomato incident.

northern I guess the important thing is that the contracts are ready for exchange, hopefully it'll happen before the weekend. No new outfit, I'm wearing my gorgeous 50's halterneck Christmas dress. Won't be drinking champagne though, found out yesterday I'm expecting Shock Shock Shock

Aethelfleda · 08/01/2014 22:34

There is nothing spoilery in that post northern, honestly! I appreciate not everyone watches on time (we loves our PVR). Hope you enjoy the Sherlockery later!

And now my choice is bed versus nametaping. I know marker pen is quicker but I have a joblot of old fashioned nametapes, it's kind of therapeutic ....

Puts out a pot of tea and crumpets with toaster ready for the morning....

Aethelfleda · 08/01/2014 22:50

Whooah there, Leslie! X-post!
....did you just really type that, seven?!?!
Congratulations!!! ... This will make you the thread megamama as both the illustrious octo and myself are (I believe) sticking at three? I am impressed....

And yes, vinyl is fun and exciting. Rummaging in record shops to buy the DDs Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat for £2? Priceless! and I have a serious dodgy 80's pop collection

TheOnlySeven · 08/01/2014 23:08

Afraid so Blush. After trying for 2 years for DS it appears I'm super-fertile. We weren't even quite convinced we wanted another one, I guess at least the decision has finally been made.
