I think we will be heading to the GP in the morning as this just cannot be normal - DS2 just seems like he is in such pain and we are trying everything we can to no avail. His stomach is rock hard, he is groaning and twisting in pain(?), feeds then immediately vomits milk everywhere, then desperate to feed again, for hours. At wits end and really down Sad there's a bfing clinic on Thursday i was intending to go to but I think we need help sooner than that.

QueenofClean · 30/10/2013 05:57

Happy Birthday Oi Grin

Xiao - hope DS2 gets better really soon.

OiMissus · 30/10/2013 07:55

Oh Xiao, that sounds hard. Hope you get some help soon. I don't know what to suggest. Good luck.
BOi sang Happy Birthday to me in the car all the way to my mum's. What more could I ask for?!
There are lots of cakes in the kitchen. Please help yourselves. CakeCakeCake Dark choc, white choc, parkin, cinnamon whirls,...CakeCakeCakeCakean enormous jaffa cake cake, CakeCakecarrot cake, pretty cakes, CakeCakeCake and pork pies.Grin

OiMissus · 30/10/2013 07:58

Hop - there's a man coming to look at my leaky balcony Blush between 1:30 and 2 - so do you want to come to mine for coffee and cake and we can lock the boys in the playroom , or shall we meet at 2:30-ish somewhere at a soft play. I'll invite bennybenbear - anyone else fancy it?

Figgygal · 30/10/2013 08:23

Happy birthday oi am very jealous of the Jaffa cake!! I tried to teach DS happy birthday recently but as with everything else he just grins inanely at you and says nah!!

Am on train to London was 20mins late we running on 1 engine so god know what time I'll get to office. Oh and my watch strap broke so new watch needed Hmm. Only silver lining is I'm getting a 3.45 back as an sick of getting home late after a day in London.

Xiao hope the dr helps today

QueenofClean · 30/10/2013 08:25

Oo cake yum!

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 30/10/2013 09:21

Coming to your and locking the boys in the playroom while we eat cakesounds good? V jealous of all your lovely cake!

So tired. Think Cass had a nightmare last night. He woke up at 3am screaming, utterly hysterical. I picked him up and he clung to my neck sobbing 'no like it bed! No like it bed mummy! Cuddle mummy! No like it bed!' I had to take him to the spare room and rock him on my lap for half an hour to get him to calm down before he would go back to sleep, but only if he was clutching some part of my body. Poor monkey boy Sad He seemed quite chipper this morning and did wake me up by shouting 'WAKE UP MUMMY! KISS!' in my face and giving me a big slobbery kiss on the nose. There's another little boy at nursery with a throat infection, so I'm on guard with the calpol if he starts to look peaky.

Oh, and fab new haircut is FAB! Love it! And it was only a bargainous £14. No more fancy city centre salons for me! Highlights at the same place are £30! Think I've found a new hairdresser!

OP posts:
OiMissus · 30/10/2013 10:16

My best mate has also just had a similar experience re: fab new haircut at village hairdressers for bargainous delectations. My hairdresser of too many years to mention is just about to go on mat leave. I am thinking, one last cut, wish her all the best, and slink away, make the break...
Tony and Guy - tooooo expensive. And to be honest, I am never very happy with my hair cuts.

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 30/10/2013 10:55

I hate Tony and Guy. I've had two crap haircuts there and I fend them rude and too trendy and snooty. Plus, I want a hair cut that looks nice, suits my face and doesn't make me look like I'm trying to be a hipster. I didn't get the fancy head massage or lots of glossy magazine, but it took less than an hour and they were nice and friendly and it's exactly what I wanted.

OP posts:
SevenOnwardsAndUpwards · 30/10/2013 11:58

range cooker linky. The one I really wanted was cream and more beautiful but over £1000 :(

Happy birthday oi.

Sympathies xiao, it's heartbreaking to see them in so much pain, that's similar to how DD2 was minus the vomiting. Certainly sounds like it could be reflux, be prepared to go to A&E if GP is is unsympathetic or says all babies cry. It was the paeds there who diagnosed her milk allergy and they were brilliant.

I've admitted defeat and put DD1 in pull ups. As much as I like reusable nappies the constant taking them off to use the potty was driving me crackers, DH even started trying to hide the potty to stop her wanting to use it Hmm

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 30/10/2013 12:17

xiao missed your post, hope DS2 is OK x

We r boycotting Halloween this year I'm feeling mean now that DS doesn't have a costume. What's everyone else doing?

NorthernChinchilla · 30/10/2013 20:05

Naff all figgy, DS was a 'plumpkin' last year, and looked wonderful in the costume, but not doing anything this year. We tend to switch the lights off and hide from the teenagers demanding money with menaces trick or treaters.

But a colleague's just texted me about going for drinks for a leaving do tomorrow, so may bob along.

Hey Xiao, how did you get on, is DS2 OK? Sounds very upsetting, hope it's just constipation or similar.

Happy birthday Oi, hope you're enjoying the steak and champagne? Did Mr Oi get the new job?

News on house is positive-ish - our vendors are at the same stage as us, having moved very swiftly, so survey done, mortgage sorted and just making enquiries through solicitors. Bloke at top of chain is the delay- it's all in place but he can't get his survey done til middle of November, owing to the national shortage.
So we may exchange before Xmas, but looks like we'll be completing just before or just after, if things go to plan, putting the sodding cherry on the top of my ridiculous year Confused!

OiMissus · 30/10/2013 20:24

Having an amazing birthday! It's been incredible.
Boi sang happy birthday to me in his own unique way this morning, work was ok, cake was enjoyed, got home for mini party with Boi and DH. DH has surpassed himself. He's booked us a VIP box at th'opera! He's taking his "pretty woman" to see La Traviata on 14th Feb next year. AMAZING present!
Tomorrow Boi is taking his pirate costume to the CM's for a Halloween party. But that's all. I've bought some treats for trick or treaters but I doubt we'll see anyone. - the advantage of living at the very bottom of a cul de sac on a very, very steep hill!

OiMissus · 30/10/2013 20:26

(But yes will be setting up the front of house with some halloweeny stuff to look welcoming for trick or treaters - just in case!)

BobaFetaCheese · 30/10/2013 20:52

Happy Birthday Oi!! La Traviata! Amazing!
I had never heard of parkin until your post, learn something new everyday!

Xiao, hope DS2 improves & the Dr helps..is he constipated?

No Halloween here, and I will probably go full harridan on any little bugger who dares to ring the bell, the curtains shall be drawn at 3pm & the tv on low aka we're not in, piss off! Humbug!

OiMissus · 30/10/2013 20:57

Never heard of Parkin?! I bet you don't have black peas on Bonfire Night either, do you? (You haven't lived!) Wink

Faffin · 30/10/2013 21:16

Happy Birthday Oi, pleased to hear it's been a good one.

Xiao I hope DS2 is OK.

for finished kitchens seven...no sign of that here any time soon. Original finish date should have been the end of next week but due to various issues along the way, we'll be lucky if it's done in time for Christmas Sad

Luckily our village observes the pumpkin rules so we don't get bothered by anyone on Halloween.

DS has lost weight for the first time in his life (he even packed it on in the first few days after birth!). By chance I had weighed him just before he got ill last week. He lost his appetite then, and hasn't fully got it back yet. I weighed him again today, and he's lost 0.3kg in the last 10 days. Nothing too dramatic I suppose, but I'll be keeping an eye on him.

Otherwise he's his usual chirpy self and is keeping me amused on a daily basis. He's trying to sing lots of different songs at the moment. After he woke this morning he lay in his cot singing "wiiind back again, wiiind back again, pull, pull, lap, lap, lap" Grin

Aethelfleda · 31/10/2013 08:45

The children's telly this morning is totally Hallow'een obsessed. Horrible Histories have a good scary special!

Aargh the DC are swiping each other and it's only 8.45. Gonna be a long day!

SevenOnwardsAndUpwards · 31/10/2013 09:56

Hope your day improves aethel.

faffin I wondered how yours were getting on as you hadn't mentioned it.

We're hiding at my parents house so DH can have some peace to finish the kitchen, apparently wiring in cookers isn't easy with the background noise of screaming children.

Has anyone seen the thread in chat about the missing gransnet member? She's 73 and was probably walking in the French Alps, hasn't been seen since Saturday.

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 31/10/2013 13:05

Meeting was surprisingly fine, though went on forever. I've not go lunch with me and someone has planted a tub of Roses next to my desk. Oh dear.

We have sweeties in for the trick or treaters, but I put a nice sign up asking them to please knock quietly as my baby is sleeping and I will cut a bitch if you wake him up

Glad you had a good day Oi and WOW to the present, well done MrOi, there's hope for him yet!

Hope your kitchen is all done today seven I expect pics of it's shiny awesomeness.

Put DS in his costume this morning, as they are having a party as nursery. Don't know if you've seen on FB but HE WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT. Many tears and 'I NO LIKE IT! NO LIKE IT! NO!'s were bellowed uttered. But he calmed down once I assured him that there would be cake at nursery later.

My best friend moved to London last months, and she's back for a visit tomorrow morning, yeay! DS loves her so I'm sure he will be glad to see her and make her play with all his toys.

QueenofClean · 31/10/2013 15:35

Hop enjoy your lunch of roses Wink
See your pics on FB, he didn't look happy did he lol!

Just been and had a mirena coil fitted...ouch....Dr said I needed to come home eat Chocolate & drink wine and rest. Love my doctor Grin

Figgygal · 31/10/2013 19:55

Aw my FB feed is full of cute costumes and I was a misery who didn't get DS one.

Aethelfleda · 31/10/2013 21:17

dS had a recycled costume from the DDs (Boo from Monsters inc, when she dresses up as a pretend monster).
But when I did some facepaint on the girls he climbed up expectantly onto the seat and sat there looking so cute...!
Will try to link

The day got better BTW. We decorated the house, walked around the block and played spot the pumpkin. They made a good haul and our gross slimy toad dribble got a good reception!

queenie, your doctor is wise! that's exactly what I did when I got mine

Awwwww faffin that's so sweet with the singing!.... Enjoy it while it lasts, the DDs were trying to sing "blow my whistle" the other day and it was somewhat disconcerting....
