Oooh I posted in the future... Smile

StuntedFrankenNun · 27/10/2013 05:09

That is a strange coincidence YW! Shock

PR was it episode 1 of season 5 of Misfits? If so you would be better going back to the start of season 1 which was awesome and very funny. It does cross the line sometimes but it's worth watching for the dialogue alone.

J thinks it's morning Confused somebody tell him it's only 5 a.m.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 27/10/2013 05:27

Well we made it to 4.50. I can live with this. DH will get up with the girls at 6 ish and I will go back to bed!

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 05:50

That is amazing YW. No wonder you were distracted. Mine would have been 17 this year - would have been very helpful for babysitting.

Apple I hope your head is not too sore this morning. Big hug x

Happy belated birthday L, and happy birthday E!

J woke at 3.30. I brought him downstairs and he proceeded to vomit down my back. He brought up food from 4pm yesterday. It stunk of poo. Hideous. I must admit I am concerned. I weighed him. He is 26lb. He weighed more when he was 8 months old.

Would you be worried?

How much does your LO weigh now compared to 8 months?

I am wondering if it is diabetes. Please slap me.

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 05:53

I guess compared to 8kg and 7.75kg for J and P he is still a little fattie. I know Izzys J has lost weight too. It is probably just being mobile, and he does not eat much. But being sick 12 hours later, that should not happen!

StuntedFrankenNun · 27/10/2013 06:08

I would be concerned VQ. Not necessarily about diabetes but that all the illness has taken its toll. I would consider prebiotics and check out where his weight is compared to his usual percentile line. The poor little lad may just need a chance to recover properly then he'll have a catch up growth spurt.

Pikz · 27/10/2013 06:27

VQ I would be concerned too. Poor little one needs a break from illness. I don't think it's more sinister than being so poorly for so long his body is all over the shop.

Pikz · 27/10/2013 06:28

VQ sending you a massive hug x

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 06:40

Thank you x yes Stunt, I need to look at his percentile chart. Good thinking.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/10/2013 06:41

Morning. Operation changing the clock successful here I think. LO got up at her usual 7am.

VQ can't compare to 8 months but LO was weighed this week at 12 mo and weighed the same as at 10 mo. She was weighed at nursery once and had lost 300g compared to the 10mo and 12mo weigh ins. I don't know anything about diabetes but maybe it is time to request a paed consult?

Lily311 · 27/10/2013 06:44

vq hugs

Awful night here. She screamed at 9, 12, 1.30, 2 and 5. Nothing calmed her down, we ended up watching baby einstein at 2 while she was sobbing. Teeth? Throat? She is snotty.

Today is another day, let's hope for the best.

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 06:46

He has dropped from 98 to 75. DD2 did similar IIRC as they are both on 50 now.

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 06:48

Yes PR I think it is time for a consult.

Lily sorry you have had a crap night. Snot is a bugger.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 27/10/2013 06:48

Gosh I haven't had O weighed for months. I am waiting for info about my 12 month check from the new gp/hv

Operation clock change successful here too in that I swapped Saturdays lie ins for Sunday lie ins with DH! O woke up at 05:45. Not too bad I don't suppose.

But I have to get up anyway as am cooking up a storm today for the freezer so I get time to spend with my girls rather than the cooker!

Kirrin · 27/10/2013 07:14

Operation clocks change not successful here - we've been up since 5.

((Hugs)) VQ Like others have said, its probably a result of being ill for so long, but I'd get it checked out to be sure.

It is absolutely chucking it down here. There are surprisingly few things to do when it is chucking down round here - everyone will be at soft play wont they?!

horseylady · 27/10/2013 07:30

This time last year I was in labour!!! Just read through my posts. Have decided I think I'm ok with the labour. It's the after bit I'm struggling with. Well and the labour. Just the whole thing.

Hes teething really badly this morning. Poor soul. Think it might be molars, even though he's not got all front ones yet.

yw strange coincident?!

pikz any better?

det how was the night shift?

vq I think I'd be concerned. Although the body will not digest if it thinks something is bad and 12 hours is not unheard of to do that. The smelling of poo would concern me so for that I would get him checked out

ValiumQueen · 27/10/2013 07:49

Horsey you did well to read through your labour. It is good that you are facing things head on. Sorry to hear E is teething on his birthday. That is not fair at all! Yesterday he had his favourite veg and lentil soup. The only thing he had different was some grated apple. Usually he has it cooked and in a purée. It was the raw apple that made me think diabetes, along with the clear lack of stomach emptying. I feel a bit better now daytime is here.

ChasingDaisy · 27/10/2013 07:51

I would be concerned too VQ. Like others have said, it is probably a result of being poorly for so long but I reckon he should get checked out. Poor little mite.

ChasingDaisy · 27/10/2013 08:13

Oh and Detective, that sounds very much like a migraine. Bastard things that they are.

YellowWellies · 27/10/2013 08:39

VQ I'd be worried too. Am sure it's not diabetes but the poo vom sounds awful.

Operation clock change went well here - two night feeds (seems to always do two when teething Confused ) but up for the day at 9am old time. Yesterday on my sleep in he started the day at 6.55! Grin

Passmethecrisps · 27/10/2013 08:45

Good morning,

Happy birthday horseyfoal!

vq it could be absolutely nothing but I think you need to see a doc about little J. All this illness must be taking such a massive toll on you all.

I hate headaches like that det. You really can't function as a midwife if you can't bend over can you? Migraines I have had have been more flashing lights and numbness but either way that sounds rubbish.

Hope you are feeling ok today apple.

fruitpastilles · 27/10/2013 09:30

Happy birthday horsey's E, and happy birthday for yesterday to jj's L

MsJupiterJones · 27/10/2013 09:32

Impressed with the babies that adjusted their body clocks so beautifully! L was up at 5am, although his naps and bedtime yesterday were all over the place so I suspect it would have been an early morning anyway.

VQ it does sound worrying, and just extraordinary that little J has been through so much illness. I think weight gain is definitely meant to slow once they are mobile so that might be his body finding its natural curve, does he look like he is still carrying a reasonable amount of body fat? L is much leaner than when he was immobile but I haven't had him weighed for a couple of months and he still looks soft and has some squidginess. Finding it hard to find the right words for this but hopefully you know what I mean! I think a visit to GP is definitely in order to investigate the poo smell and other issues though. Lots of love to J and you xx

Evilwater · 27/10/2013 09:40

Hello all,
p is gone for the day, and so I'm on my own today, again. Im going to leave him, and I am preparing/planning my leave. It came to a head when P emotionally blackmailed me to have my flu jab. So I'm looking for a place to live at the moment and next week I have a appointment with the one stop shop for family help in my area as well as a benifits check.

I'll try and post here everyday, as he is mr nice at the moment and he's had a letter from the Tax people about his accounts.

n woke at 0630 this morning which is fine.
Evil

YellowWellies · 27/10/2013 09:53

We're here for you Evil it sounds from what you've said about your relationship, that this decision has been a long time coming and that you've put up with so much. There's only so much that anyone can put up with and you have had more patience and tolerance than many folks could muster - I include myself in that. I hope, like our inspirational Chasing that you discover your confidence and realise what an amazing Mum you are when you are on your own with your boy without some arse undermining what you do and convincing you that they are the better / most loved parent. If you need anything just shout - we're all here willing you on and wishing the best for you and your gorgeous boy.
