chasing hope you have a lovely time, can't wait to hear all about it.

YellowWellies · 26/10/2013 16:59

VQ Jonas is on just under 2mg/kg of omeprazole he's 8kg and has 7.5ml twice a day. We were told up to 3mg/kg for severe reflux (and I think your J certainly fits that bill while teething) but anything above 2.5mg/kg gives Jonas awful wind. He's been unsettled of late - it could be his jags, 4 teeth coming thru at once, 12 month growth spurt, trace dairy or the fact I've not increased his meds since June Hmm . Where's my acme star trek 'interpret WTF is pissing off my baby' gadget? Grin

ValiumQueen · 26/10/2013 17:26

When you find it can you lend it to me YW?

GTbaby · 26/10/2013 18:09

Hate stupid fucking random letter fucking custom. I don't like any of stupid fucking husbands ideas and he doesn't like mine.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/10/2013 18:16

Trying to keep lo up an hour later than usual. That's the right way round isn't it? If not I'm fucked.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 26/10/2013 18:24

That's what we're doing PR. Although I expect we'll be fucked anyway! Grin

fruitpastilles · 26/10/2013 18:31

Grrr I totally forgot about the stupid clocks, S went to sleep 15 mins earlier than normal never mind later.

PurplePidjOrTreatin · 26/10/2013 18:46

My baby is broked Sad

Kirrin · 26/10/2013 18:48

Hi everyone :)

eliza that must have been terrifying Shock I always put DD1 in first as she is a bolter. But one time I put her in the car but not in her seat and she climbed through to the front and climbed out the passenger door. And I didn't realise until she appeared next to me Shock luckily it was in a very quiet car park but it still stopped my heart for a moment.

Hope the date is going well chasing

I have had a day a bit like VQ's but with 1 less child. DP at work, DD1 on a wind up mission, N still under the weather and wanting to be held all day whilst screaming, and me tearing myhair out and shrieking a lot bit.

I was aiming for putting them to bed an hour later but tbh I'm not sure I can face it Blush so I might compromise on half an hour and go to bed early myself.

PurplePidjOrTreatin · 26/10/2013 19:02

S'ok i unbroked him. One way to make him go to sleep an hour later Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 26/10/2013 19:30

Major moment of schadenfreude today. LO went and banged on DD1's door when she was having her nap. Pro and con of mobile baby all at once :o

TheDetective · 26/10/2013 19:33

Not caught up.

But I am keeping O up an hour later. So far so good.

Hope it works.

I had to come home from work last night, never had to do that before. Started getting a headache just after starting, never shifted, and then it went in to one of those that make you cry when you bend over. Tried lying down to ease it off, and it kicked off awful nausea. Anyway, by 3.30am I was on my way home feeling utterly hideous, dizzy, thumping headache and nauseous. Seems to have lifted now. Don't know what that was all about. I just feel generally rough now with low level nausea.

Of course, I was the proverbial bad smell for leaving work. We were already 2 staff under... when I went it left one midwife on my ward. I am now of the opinion that I will not feel an ounce of guilt. It was not my fault. And not my fault it was understaffed in the first place.

Last night tonight, fingers crossed. However I get to work the extra hour. For free. I am not fucking happy.

I must go and get dressed :(

I have missed some birthdays in my nightshift hell. Happy belated birthday wishes to MiniWellies and ValiumPrince. Please kick my ass if I have missed anyone else! It is quite possible...!

PetiteRaleuse · 26/10/2013 19:38

Birthday reminder: i think horsey's little foal is one tomorrow. Happy birthday E :)

And that's pretty much all the birthdays I will remember - the ones within a week or so pre and post LO's Blush

Sounds like a migraine Detective , that could be very debilitating at work

Kyz · 26/10/2013 20:08

Evening guys

happy belated birthday to valiumprince and happy birthday to horseys little foal :)

E is going to a halloween party tomorrow bless him. Brother's gf's mum runs a pub and she's doing a mini kiddie party thing. Hope he enjoys it :)

Need to catch up, been reading vaguely and think i'm up to date, but have a thumping headache so am going to go to bed now. Forgot about clocks so e just went to bed as normal. Will see what happens I guess!

Hope everything is ok with everyone, will be back on tomorrow or maybe even later

BigPigLittlePig · 26/10/2013 20:12

LO still awake - just having bedtime bottle now. Pleeeeeease sleep tonight. Feels like groundhog day tbh. Increased ranitidine has been administered, and no brufen.

Hope chasings date is going/has gone well?

PP how did he break??

Lily311 · 26/10/2013 20:15

pr o shares her birthday with you so you can remember that one too;).

PurplePidjOrTreatin · 26/10/2013 20:22

Happy birthday HorseyFoal

He took himself off the boob, self settled beautifully in his cot... 10 minutes later he was inconsolable Sad bloody nappy change worked, but on top of my new dishwasher not working (dad plumbed it in, it's 10 years old so only new to me happy Christmas love mum+dad Hmm), dp having hung the washing up all scrunched, exhaustion after a hen night last night which was my first proper night out since R, spending all day at my parents' with fuck all offers of help, the prospect of hauling arse up to the ILs tomorrow and killer back ache that pcm, ibuprofen and a hot water bottle are barely touching... I've lost my point in all this ranting.

Anyway, giant roast chicken dinner that miraculously survived the hellish bedtime plus Wine means my equilibrium is at least partially restored as long as i don't move

GTbaby · 26/10/2013 20:23

I've found putting H to sleep earlier/later does not change his wake up time.
Wish it made a difference as I'd keep him awake till 10pm every night.

BigPigLittlePig · 26/10/2013 20:27
ChasingDaisy · 26/10/2013 20:28

Loo update. Lovely chap. Intelligent. Posh. Kind. Paid for dinner. Need to see him again to see if there is a spark but so far so good.

GTbaby · 26/10/2013 20:29

I must confess. After chatting to you all for over a year. I still struggle to connect baby names to MN names to FB names. Forget birthdays! Or where you all live.

Donnadoon · 26/10/2013 20:35

omg my not so delicate little flower has shown her wild side today
She has in no particular order
Opened the dodgy must be fixed stair gate and climbed the stairs
Wriggled out of her high chair straps and stood up on the feeding tray Shock how it didn't topple I'll never know
Put a toy car down the toilet
Managed to put a toy car into the washing pile so I had to stop the machine when I heard it clunking
Learned to climb on and off my bed
Switched the telly on and off numerous times
I swear before today I said she was the most low maintanence baby I ever knew
I. Am. Worn. Out.

horseylady · 26/10/2013 20:37

Evening. Sorry to hear all the illnesses.

E is indeed one tomorrow. This time last year I was having mild, infrequent, contractions. Everything started properly at 230am and finished 16 hours later!!!

YellowWellies · 26/10/2013 20:42

Woooohooo Chasing sounds promising Smile . Also don't sabotage any chance of a spark by talking yourself out of it. I used to be an expert at that. You can spend so long being mistreated you persuade yourself you don't deserve someone kind. After a couple of dates with DH I contemplated that nothing serious could arise as a) I didn't like his middle name (seriously!) and b) he wasn't a bastard treating me like something he'd trodden in. Being treated well can feel odd at first if you've been out with an archetypal bastard but it soon grows on you and eventually makes you feel warm and cherished all the time.

Det I've always wondered that about the night shift when the clocks go back. That sucks ass Envy . Does it work the other way - do you get paid for the nonexistent hour when the clocks go forwards?

Pidj that sounds a bugger of a day Wine

PR teehee DD1 karma is a bitch Wink .

Well he's off to sleep an hour later tonight. I better not see him before 8am as today was my lie in....

YellowWellies · 26/10/2013 20:48

Donna I think the sweet low maintenance ones are just secretly plotting. Jonas was a schemer. Angelic baby. Little bugger now he's mobile. He fed the dog his parsnips this lunchtime and then she farted her way round Fife in the narrow confines of the car. You could have powered a house off her arse if we had an anaerobic digester.

Happy birthday E!

GT I can usually remember baby names and rough locations but (like at RL baby groups!) I'm rubbish at remembering Mummy names Blush .
