Eliza that must have been scary, the main thing is she is ok. These things happen to all of us I'm afraid.

GT no advice, but I think you are a goddess -I barely handle 1 baby let alone 2!

Am I the only one dreading the next few days with the clock change? no matter what time F goes to bed he sill wakes up just before 6, so not sure how long its going to get him to stop waking up just before 5 after the clocks change!

ValiumQueen · 26/10/2013 09:13

Thank you for all the birthday wishes. He had a pretty normal day - disturbed night, nursery, vomiting every bloody thing before bed, disturbed night etc Grin

His new sleepsuits are a good 6in too long in arms and legs. Bloody Tescos. I will have to cut the feet off his old ones.

His gums are like a mountain range too. Poor boy.

For me, three is the perfect number.

Eliza, DD2 is a bolter and it is very difficult managing her and DS. Would it be an idea to get LO out first, and always put DD1 in first?

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 26/10/2013 09:18

eluza scary - glad all ok . Those heart in mouth moments are bloody awful.

ditsy yes. S always wakes at 5 at the latest, and the last week has been waking consistently at 4.30. I'm tempted to change the clocks grid lunchtime because in my mind that makes it better and will keep S up later. Tomorrow will be crap, we are resigned to this!!!

sophia keeping fingers crossed for you and the girls. Concerned about the river flooding, we are in the flood plain, are overdue a serious flood, and this storm doesn't look great. Today we will shop and make sure we have wine and chocolate stocked cupboards.

Lily311 · 26/10/2013 09:21

Those of you dreading the clock change, I did it twice in the past two weeks with O as Hungary is an hour ahead of the UK. She did well. She stayed up an hour late and slept as usual. I will do the same at the weekend, just try to keep her up a bit longer.

YellowWellies · 26/10/2013 09:45

Thanks for that tip Lily.

Wah Eliza how scary! VQ good advice. Sorry to hear the wee man is still vomming lots.

Madame get all of your most precious papers and photos in a watertight box and put it upstairs. It could still change course at the last minute like the 1987 storm did but best to be prepared. As a climate scientist I'm infuriated that we still build on floodplains. Thoughts in the industry are that floodplain homes may be uninsurable and thus unmortgageable in 20 years - so anyone moving house bear that in mind!

Well it's fair to say that the 12 month jags aren't the sort that help them sleep... yawn.

Right off to a photo session - thanks to my sister's FIL passing away Sad. they've got a session they're unable to use. Sad reason and I feel really guilty but it'll be lovely to have some posh photos of the bear.

Elizadoesdolittle · 26/10/2013 09:49

Thanks all. vq she always was a bolter too. Funnily enough I was just thinking the other day about how glad I was she had grown out of that. Thinking about it I normally do put DD1 in first/take her out last. A momentary bit of madness on my part that thank goodness I wasn't made to pay for. Aside from usual goings on, how is J now?

Having a quiet morning and then taking DD1 to her swimming lesson. Then it's a quick turn around at home for me to get ready for this hen night. I'm dreading it and looking forward to it in equal measure!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

chasing I look forward to hearing about your date. Hope it goes well.

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 26/10/2013 10:44

Yy eliza, me too!

YW, thanks, that's good advice. We are a good 1600 metres from the river, house built 1930s and city's flood defences have been strengthened so am hoping all ok. Never had an issue with finding insurance but would def aim to be further away.

fruitpastilles · 26/10/2013 11:23

eliza how scary! I'm so glad she was ok!
yw I hope you will put some of the posh pics on fb when you get them.

I feel old, I have just ordered the Lakeland 3 tier electric airer and got sooooo excited about it haha. We also bought a new sofa yesterday, I'm hoping it comes before Christmas but I doubt it will.

Dp is off to the football today his friend has managed to get them an executive box, think about 10 of them are going and it's an open bar, I dread to think what he will be like when he gets in, they will no doubt go somewhere after aswell. He hasn't been out for months though so I mustn't moan.

ChasingDaisy · 26/10/2013 11:47

Morning quiche.

Sorry to hear of bad nights. I'm sure that 12 months ago we all thought we would be past the sleepless nights stage!

Oscar has gone off for the weekend. I feel particularly bonded with him this week after he was ill so it was horrible to see him go Sad

Only a few hours until date o'clock. I have a mental list of conversation starters to avoid awkward silences and am nervous but looking forward to meeting him.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 26/10/2013 11:51

I'm here. Only had time to catch up cos I'm ill and in bed. Typical timing as DH off all next week. Chest infection is horrid and if this is what poor Valium prince felt like then no wonder he doesn't want to eat or sleep :-(

Not got much to say so I'm going to try have a sleep.

ValiumQueen · 26/10/2013 12:00

Finally got to have a poke around in Js mouth this morning. He has 4! Yes 4 fucking molars coming through! One is through at the top. I thought they were the incisors, but no. Fucking molars!!! He has not stopped whining all morning, even with cold things to chew, PCM, entertainment and cuddles, and tooth gel.

This medication you talk of Pass and YW - is that Omeprazole? If so I fear J is severely under-medicated.

Eliza, I thought B had grown up a bit the other day too. They wait to lull you into a false sense of security as they know they will stand a better chance of escaping. Hopefully it taught her a bit of a lesson?

Rest up Izzy. Sounds horrid.

ChasingDaisy · 26/10/2013 12:13

4 molars?! He doesn't do things by halves does he VQ!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 26/10/2013 12:24

vq J is on 10mg morning and same before bedtime (ha!) bottle and that's omeprazole. What's your J on?

StuntedFrankenNun · 26/10/2013 12:30

Izzy! There you are! I have a bone to pick with you. I seem to have bought a Didymos wrap, a ring sling and a Manduca. You're clearly a bad influence on me. GrinGrinGrin

izzybizzybuzzybees · 26/10/2013 12:39

Ha ha! I have spotted your purchases but didn't want to stalk you! The colour of the Indio is gorgeous :-)

izzybizzybuzzybees · 26/10/2013 12:39

Missed the manduca....I'm considering selling my connecta to fund a toddler ABC :)

Passmethecrisps · 26/10/2013 12:43

Omeprazole vq. My GP works on 3mg per kg. At 7.75kg she is on 15mg per day. Consultant was fine with that but felt that was as high as she would ever need.

ValiumQueen · 26/10/2013 13:19

Oops. He has one tablet a day. I usually split it, and dissolve it obviously. It is the omeprazole mups. I will weigh him later and report back. I thought it gave him bad wind so gave him it once a day for a couple of days and it made no difference.

I could not believe his poor little mouth. I am covered in bites, with proper bruises. Now I understand why. He will be getting PCM before bed for a while.

I am an evil mother today. DH was working for 1 hour but it took all morning and DD2 has been just horrid, J whining, and DD1 winding up DD2. There was a fair bit of shouting unfortunately.

fruitpastilles · 26/10/2013 13:44

Poor J vq what does that bring his tooth count up to now?

S has diahorrea (sp?) apart from keeping her hydrated what else should I be doing? Should I keep her off food and give her extra milk or carry on as normal? She has no vomiting and is well in herself.

ChasingDaisy · 26/10/2013 14:50

I'm here, waiting. Eek!

PetiteRaleuse · 26/10/2013 15:12

Good luck chasing

ValiumQueen · 26/10/2013 15:30

Fruit, he has 8 all the way through, one molar poking out and the other 3 about to erupt. Hopefully. The incisors seem to have popped back in again. I guess because the other big ones are causing everything to swell.

ValiumQueen · 26/10/2013 15:34

Fruit, as there are no other symptoms, the diarrhoea could just be with teething perhaps? Keep an eye on wee. They must wee. If not contact Dr. Offer plenty of fluids. If it is not a bug then there is no harm offering solids and milk as usual.

ValiumQueen · 26/10/2013 15:34

Chasing, good luck is not needed. He is a lucky fella.

fruitpastilles · 26/10/2013 16:10

Thanks vq hopefully it will pass soon, I would have thought teething but my cousins little girl has a d&v bug and had been with S all day, my cousin didn't know she was ill until she got back from ours, I'm just hoping she's not sick with it.

Wow I can't believe J has so many teeth, S still only has her bottom 2 and didn't get them until a few weeks ago!
