Nun I love it! What a mix!

I am a Yorkshire crossed with Hampshire. More Yorkshire when wine consumed.

Happy birthday valiumprince!!

Sophia crossing everything for your girls getting over.

Have decided to stop fighting the food thing. If all he will eat for brekkie is Ella's kitchen mango or banana baby brekkie then so be it. Will offer with pieces and fruit and work back to a normal diet.

PetiteRaleuse · 25/10/2013 09:22

There's rarely any point in fighting the food thing Pikz there is only one victor in food battles and it is never us :) Plenty of time, at least another 17 years, to introduce new things and break bad habits :o

Sophiathesnowfairy · 25/10/2013 09:23

I think stunt you have definitely picked up a slight Northern Ireland accent, the intination for sure! Will that happen to me?

I have, correct me if I hear myself incorrectly stunt, a slight Solihull accent. Which is a bit like Brummie but softer, defo nothing like Black Country, which everyone says is Brummie, but isn't because it' Black Country.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 25/10/2013 09:26

pr is right pikz don't fight the food fight. You will always loose. Problem is, it is a mothers nature to want to feed them well and you can't fight your feelings either. So you will just end up a crumpled mess in the corner whatever happens Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 25/10/2013 09:31

As you can see I am having my 9am sit down and coffee while O has a sleep.

I have done my menus for next weeks visit of girls, dad and stepmother and plan to spend Sunday doing some pre cooking.

Monday - slow roast pork with self saucing butterscotch pud
Tuesday - chicken pie with blueberry crisp for pud
Wednesday out for tea
Thursday before flight mac n cheese

Will make up a vat of parsnip soup for lunches and go out a couple of days.

Will stock up on crumpets, hot chocolate, wine (for parents) and some nice cheese.

Am am getting excited now so that weather front best stay away from Birmingham airport. Hmm

Sophiathesnowfairy · 25/10/2013 09:32

HAPPY BIRGHDAY VALIUM PRINCE Cake

Sophiathesnowfairy · 25/10/2013 09:32

Can you post a piccy of your date top chasing

Sophiathesnowfairy · 25/10/2013 09:34

Have I missed anything?

Off to tip now so I will leave you all alone! Wink

Passmethecrisps · 25/10/2013 09:37

Happy birthday wee prince

stunt I heard your accent as Irish (generic, I know) with mancunian?! Does that make any sense?

I have a generic jock from the south west accent. The sort that I don't think I have an accent at all but other people think I do. Very different to the accent where I work.

Maybe we should record ourselves!

PetiteRaleuse · 25/10/2013 09:42

I hate listening to my voice on recordings. I always sound so girly. I like to think of myself as having an authoritative voice but I don't. No wonder the girls take the piss when I get shouty.

FatimaLovesBread · 25/10/2013 09:54

I have a Yorkshire accent. West yorks rather than south yorks Barnsley/Sheffield. I hate recordings too, I sound a bit thick, like a masculine farmer Grin

Happy Birthday Valium Prince Cake

GTbaby · 25/10/2013 09:59

Lo has had a 10 min feed and is now asleep making smiling faces. Don't want to wake him to finish feeding.

Had worse night sleep ever with H, obviously happens on the night A settles ok. He was awake from 11.30-3.30. Dad was dealing with him all night.

I have a west London accent. Which is basically a bit nothing. Boring! When with my brummie cousin I pick it up very quickly. Everyone makes fun of me.

ChasingDaisy · 25/10/2013 10:06

Fatima, I love the Yorkshire accent. My Dad is from Rotherham and it is such a comforting accent.

Sophia I will pop an outfit pic on Facebook this evening.

Having worked in a call centre for years I have listened to myself many times and I sound incredibly young. People must have thought I was taking the piss when they asked to speak to a manager and got me Grin

Passmethecrisps · 25/10/2013 10:06

In my head I have a relatively deep voice which is also quite stern.

In real life. A jock mini mouse. A mini moose if you will.

Elizadoesdolittle · 25/10/2013 10:23

pp that's nice to know, but I doubt the vicar would be as sympathetic if she knew I didn't turn up as I was suffering with a hangover Grin

stunt sorry about af appearing. Are you going to be activity tcc? That's sounds a bit of a rude question when put like that! I'm thinking of trying for no 3 towards the end of summer. Not altered DH to my plans yet though! We need to have at least sorted out a new house before we even think of it.

sophia I have everything crossed for you weather wise. Your meals sound great. So homely. My kind of food.

I've lived in south London all my life (now kent/SL borders) but don't have a heavy south London accent. One of my friends described my accent as posh with a south London twang. I wouldn't say posh though, I'm not in the slightest, but i do pronounce my words properly (unless I've had too much to drink!). I hate hearing my voice on recordings too pr. My voice almost sounds squeaky to me!

YellowWellies · 25/10/2013 10:23

Originally east Yorkshire (think Educating Yorkshire) but RP'ed after 13 years in Oxford / South Africa / Hong Kong / London. Now in Scotland but have picked up words but not the accent. Yorkshire accent outs itself with alcohol! Smile

FatimaLovesBread · 25/10/2013 10:32

Can I just clarify that I sound thick AND like a masculine farmer. Not that farmers are thick Grin

Ooh educating Yorkshire isn't too far from me, I probably sound like them.

yw I had a friend at uni who went to the same 6th form as me but went to a private school where as I went state. She had a Yorkshire accent but a posh one. When she got drunk she'd turn cockney Hmm she'd never lived anywhere but West Yorkshire Gin

Pikz · 25/10/2013 10:35

PR and Sophia you are right.

I just need to stop giving a rats about other people with his eating. No idea why I felt the need to justify buying sachets in the supermarket today to the check out lady. Also going home to Yorkshire tomorrow for 5 days and need to not care what they think of he only eat sachets and bread and fruit pots and yoghurt.

Pikz · 25/10/2013 10:42

I must remember it's not like I'm lettingb him play with knives or only eat macdonalds

StuntedFrankenNun · 25/10/2013 11:21

I would love to at least try for number 4 but I wouldn't have my heart set on it as I'm peri-menopausal. DH, however, doesn't want any more children so it probably isn't going to happen. I was hoping for a lucky accident but it wasn't to be.

YellowWellies · 25/10/2013 11:27

Stunt at least you found out without wasting money on a test. I always come on the day after I panic and buy a test. Sorry to hear DH isn't onside for another though four could be a bit mental Grin so I can kinda empathise with him too.

GTbaby · 25/10/2013 11:36

FH is still going on about ttc number 3. Obviously he states with a bigger gap this time.
Previously I said if we got a cleaner and nanny I'd consider it. After birth I said NO full stop. However this gives him an option to change my mind.
My new tactic is "ok, if we move out" ie not living with PIL.
This might be a bit mean of me. But he needs to understand having a 3rd is a major decision and as about as unlikely as us moving out.
Sat with his sibling discussing having more children FH said "I'm game for a laugh, what do u think gt?" I could have slapped him.

Sry having an angry at FH day.

StuntedFrankenNun · 25/10/2013 11:37

Yeah YW I had my three plus their five-year-old cousin on the school run and a trip to the sweetie shop and it was a bit hectic! But DS1 and DS2 don't need so much hands-on time as they used to so...

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 25/10/2013 12:00

Snap stunt, DH has said he doesnt want more DC. But he already has three . He did agree to cancel his vasectomy though, scheduled for S's birthday. He has pointed out that he will always have one more child than I will, and that he, as the SAH parent, isn't keen on another pre-schooler at the same time as two other pre-schoolers. Which is fair enough. Lots of practical reasons why we shouldnt have more (car, money, house, nursery fees, etc). I'm just not sure I feel like my family is complete yet.

YellowWellies · 25/10/2013 12:33

Madame I couldn't handle 3 preschoolers either - I'd run away from home Grin. so fair enough!

Well Jonas has just had the Hib/MenC, MMR and PCV jags. 3 jags. 7 different nasties. Totes emosh. And he's been BF solidly for half an hour and shows no signs of wanting to unlatch. Duvet day and cuddles I reckon Confused . Glad DH came along and is WAH today as I appear to be sofa pinned.
