Hope it goes well bring, I've got to say I love that kitten is not in mine, she's the lightest sleeper, I only check on her once before I go to bed and she jumps a mile every time!
Frus I hate those days when all you seem to be doing is picking up after them Hmm

Lorelei353 · 20/01/2014 09:19

I've loved having or room back. DS moved into his room the week before Christmas. He sleeps better and so do we. He self-settles during the night better and doesn't seem as easily disturbed by house noise.

bringonthetrumpets · 20/01/2014 16:35

Oh man does it feel good to only get up once in the night! She slept like a dream and we slept like a dream. It was definitely the right time for us to make the move.

We are having another stay-in-the-house day due to there being no school (I'm not one for going to public places where there are a bajillion snotty-nosed kids mean mummy )and plus it's snowing out. Totally starting to get cabin fever. Sad We also had to cancel our holiday over the weekend we were planning to go to Florida in March and lost a ton of $ on plane tickets. It's really long story, but my shitty mother hijacked our trip and just made the whole thing a horrible mess that we decided wasn't worth the strife. She had even planned to make us spend time with HER shitty mother that I haven't seen since I was 14 b/c apparently now my grandmother has decided that she will acknowledge that I exist and would like to meet my kids. Nope. Not happening. I'd rather stay in the snow and cold than on the beach with that bitch woman. Why must family be so f'ed up?

peardrop2 · 20/01/2014 20:11

It's my turn to move baby pear into his big cot tonight Hmm I feel so sad Sad

AGnu · 20/01/2014 23:00

I'm never moving Runt into his own room. He's my baby & he shall stay with me forever! Grin

Calf, on the other hand, is finally back in his own room so I don't have to pounce on Runt the second he squeaks for fear of disturbing Calf! Having said that, Runt has decided that 3 & 5am are the best times for feeds... Maybe his own soundproofed room isn't such a bad idea...

Bring that's awful! No chance of you just pretending to cancel & then going anyway without telling her?

Bring that sounds very messy WineFamilies are crazy. Mine our nuts Shock

So, so far baby pear has stirred once more then normal. DH is now much better and quicker does not smell of milk at rocking him back to sleep. Shame hahahhahahah! FX after his 11:30pm dreamfeed he only wakes up at 5am for the next feed.

peardrop2 · 20/01/2014 23:18

I definitely need DH to take the crib down in our bedroom. Far too sad to lie down next to Hmm

bringonthetrumpets · 21/01/2014 01:57

There is noooo judgement here for those who can keep the littles in the bedroom. If M didn't pop her little head up every time you just walk past her crib and refuse to go back to sleep, then hey, she'd still definitely still be in our room. She woke up the other night because I brushed my teeth It was a nightmare.

No way to pretend cancel. We cancel-cancelled so we're staying here. Despite losing the money, we are settled with the decision.

They can totally smell the milk can't they pear!? It's crazy. M won't settle for anyone rocking her back to sleep except for me. It's going to be a tough transition when those wee ones start popping out of their mamas in a couple of months! Sad

peardrop2 · 21/01/2014 03:55

Argh!!! So much for getting a better nights sleep. Baby pear woke at 3 instead of 5 and it's nearly 4 and he's still being rocked Hmm The room is so cold. His little fingers are freezing. Just demanded the heating goes on early, it's 18oC but feels like 10oC! DH of course thinks I'm overreacting but his hands are like ice blocks! I can't put a blanket over his growbag like some of you do as that movement would wake him up Hmm

peardrop2 · 21/01/2014 03:57

On a plus note he's not waking up screaming so perhaps it just takes a few days to adjust! When we start self settling training next week that's going to be a challenge nightmare

peardrop2 · 21/01/2014 04:01

I don't think DH in visioned a bad nights sleep for moving him into his cot! He was so keen for him to me moved as we too bring had got to the point of creeping around and not being able to turn over in bed without waking him! If he was a deep sleeper he's still be by my side Wink

bringonthetrumpets · 21/01/2014 04:05

Oh dear. So sorry to hear pear! Maybe put some socks on his hands like little mittens? It's always a two steps forward, one step back process when introducing new things to the littles. Hopefully this was just a one-off for you! I'm going to bed meself!

peardrop2 · 21/01/2014 05:11

Omg it's now 5am and he's still not letting us put him down Hmm He is fast asleep in our arms and then the minute we transfer him into the cot...bing wide awake Confused DH and I are taking turns. I'm now determined that eventually he has to go down...surely?!!!

Frus - after 1.5 hours of rocking he finally let DH put him down. I am tired today though as even though we took turns I didn't sleep when DH was rocking Hmm

peardrop2 · 21/01/2014 20:53

Please god may night 2 be better!

kittykatsforever · 22/01/2014 07:21

Do the lack of posts in the night mean it went better pear?
Is it a totally new bed he's gone in or just out of your room?

Night 2 sort of went better although we've gone back to feeding at 3am booooo hoo! I loved sleeping until 5am. He then woke up at 6:30am. So cruel Hmm I'm back to taking 1hr to feed, nappy change and cuddle back to sleep before I can put him in the cot before waking. So, two steps back... Hopefully as the week goes on he will get more and more used to his room. Just got to decide when to start self settling training. We were thinking this weekend...is that insane? And I think I'm going to have to let him CIO. Patting, sssshhh and all that just aggravates him more. At the end of the day at some point he needs to learn to settle himself to sleep otherwise my arm will fall off and I will have no back strength left! Shock

Kitty he's gone from being next to us in the baby bay cot to a normal size cot in his nursery. He knows the room well though because we do nappy changes and I've encouraged lots of playtime in his cot so he could get used to it.
