He'll wake up and let you know if he's too hot. I put M in her sleeping bag with an extra blanket over her too. I just check her head to make sure it's not radiating heat and she's always been just fine. Hopefully the extra layers will keep him (and you) sleeping through the night!

I actually noticed the other night that while I was downstairs roughing it on the couch trying not to wake up the house with my horrible sickness sounds M slept through the night while I was awake all night Maybe it's a sign she should head off to her own room soon?

Contemplating on putting together a business and I'm so excited! I really hope it pans out and works the way I'm envisioning.

My DS is the same bring - not really interested in solids while he's been sick. Drinking plenty of BM though so I reckon he's fine on that. Your new business venture sounds intriguing!

frus we put a blanket over DS in his 2.5 tog sleeping bag too. He likes the extra weight on him I think and he never seems too hot. He kicks it off if he is.

DS is feeling better. Still snotty and coughing but temp gone down. I was dying yesterday but finally feel a bit better today. Miserable head cold and wretched cough but not as il overall.

Lol, actually, om.... it's me who's been sick (stomach ailments) and so I have been completely put off by foods so looks like M isn't getting any
Today is a bit better. I actually gave her some pears, so I'm not that much of a horrible mum. Blush

It seems like EVERYONE is sick this winter. We've had everything under the sun flying around our house since Sept. plus all of our friends are suffering. It's a really really bad year! Hope you're feeling better Lor!

No, frus not judgy pants at all! I've had to cut those people out of my life too. When it comes to something as passionate in your life as raising a child, when someone else's views are vastly different from your own, it's hard to remain impartial and listen to their bullshit views.

The business idea came to me in realization that we have a major gap for this service in the midwifery community and everyone complains about having to do this so I could totally, totally cash in on this. My old preceptor taught me the skill and all I have to do is just tell some midwives I know what I'm doing and I'm golden. Don't worry, it's paper-work related. Boo-yah! Grin

My super-massively-ginormous SIL is being induced tonight with her first. I really hope this isn't an induction-turned- c/s. They are inducing her really early b/c of gestational diabetes. Sad I hope the little guy fares well through this process.

Baby arrived very quickly. I don't know details really other than name and babe is 7lbs 10oz. Apparently complications but I don't know the extent of them just yet.

In other news, got my business name registered and my online software account setup. It's starting to get real! Now I just a whole lot of shiz to set up and go advertising! EEEEK!

Healthy weight alright bring - heavier than DS. Hopefully the complications are minor and nothing the little one can't recover from (and your SIL).

DS and I finally begin gin to feel a bit more human. Both still snotty but not as sick overall.

bringonthetrumpets · 17/01/2014 14:42

I'm a go-getter Wink It's by no means ready to actually start working, but I'm excited to have the framework started.

Good news lor glad you and the little guy are feeling better!!

kittykatsforever · 18/01/2014 06:30

Ola ladies!
I'm back!! Brown and rested but glad to be back. Kitten has gone with the Holliday time however and woken up at 6 on the dot, we didn't arrive home till just before 1 and she's had no where near enough sleep HmmConfused

Lorelei353 · 18/01/2014 09:21

Welcome back! Glad you had a good time.

bringonthetrumpets · 18/01/2014 17:33

Welcome back Ms. Egyptian Kitty! Seriously, the worst part about returning from a vaca with kids is that they almost punish you for it and wake up at stupid o'clock when you get back. Hope the little ladies figure out the time soon for you.

M decided to throw herself a I'm-turning-7months-old-party at 11 o'clock last night and refused to go back to sleep until 2. That, combined with DH home from work all week with man-flu on the couch, has turned me into a serious grump. I hate being a serious grump Sad I'm just so tired of taking care of everyone and not getting 5 flipping minutes to myself!

Lorelei353 · 18/01/2014 19:51

I'm such a foolish mama. DH was busy watching the Liverpool match so I was lying on the floor looking at books with DS, in theory until it was time for bed. I'm not sure how but we ended up playing and then over in the corner where he was standing and leaning on his toy chest. He was doing so I well I got carried away and left him for ages. Then when he came down and started, for the first time, thinking about how to pull himself up is was excited and was encouraging him.

All fine you say? All healthy good fun? Yes, it is EXCEPT JUST BEFORE BATH AND BED! Silly mama. Guess who kept trying to stand up in the bath? Guess who was wide awake and looking up at me with big eyes during the feed he usually falls asleep on? Guess who will be working his little brain overtime while asleep tonight? I fear for the night ahead.

bringonthetrumpets · 18/01/2014 21:47

Oh dear lor those little beaver brains just keep working way past bedtime. Hoping you have a smooth night!

bringonthetrumpets · 19/01/2014 03:21

Oh my life Blush BUSY beaver. Jeeze a word makes a world of a difference in some cases!

In other news, I now have a sore throat and I suspect I shall just have to get on with it. DH is still camped out on the couch (going on day #5 now. I wish I could do a small piddly fake cough, claim to have "body aches" and camp on the couch refusing to do all for 5 days, man flu is a serious ailment Hmm The only time I get to take more than a day off is if I push a giant baby out of my hoo-ha.... but I digress....).

kittykatsforever · 19/01/2014 09:06

Ha ha bring, isn't that the truth! 5 days! Your man is definatly taking advantage!
Well done baby lor, I'm not encouraging kitten at all, I'm quite happy with her not being able to moveGrin
So much washing and ironing. So much!!!

No judgement on the shouty mum days. It happens to the best of us! Hugs for you frus those days are really hard ones. Hoping tomorrow is better for you!

It's official. M has been evicted and is currently sleeping in her own bedroom. She's actually been asleep for a whole hour, I've been able to walk around my bedroom (and take a shower!) without her waking up. BLISS. Let's see how the rest of tonight goes....
