pfb?

Trying to put the house together for a giant midwife meeting at my house after a full day of seeing pregnant mamas. Feels surreal to be playing midwife again.

Oh I get it now! Sorry, I was so confused. I knew I saw that acronym somewhere before but forgot what it meant. Blush

M comes along too. Sometimes when she's on my back in the wrap she comes along for the ride Grin I'm sure she's like "WTF are you doing?"

Speaking of the monkey, she was hilarious today! So goofy and rolling around and laughing. These are the days that make it all worth it. She also totally dug into the broccoli casserole and shoved fist-fulls into her mouth. I think I'm smitten.

Looks like it's just you and me frusso with kitty off visiting the mummies and pyramids, agnu going motorcycle-tipping (sorry, I had rip on you for that one!), and Lor in Dublin.

Oh crappy pants I've been trying to get baby pear to sleep. He's only had 2 x 30 minute naps today and by 2:30 he's rubbing his eyes again. I've just left him moaning/crying in his cot because I've had enough and sometimes I find if he just lets the frustration out for a bit then he's easier to put rock to sleep. Anyways, I've come back in the room and he's half asleep but has done a big poo Hmm it's not worth waking him up is it. Babies!!!!!

peardrop2 · 12/01/2014 15:37

Frus ~ I've never actually understood how you can take a baby to the loo. I am a pfb but I haven't done the loo thing yet. I've not done the shower thing either. I've left baby on the gym mat in the corridor but not on the bath mat. Baby pear totally has me round his little finger today. He's got me running around in circles Shock

Aww. What a concept! A house all to yourself. Glad the only report was that he wanted more snack frus!

I'm a sickie mummy today. Couldn't sleep at all last night and I'll spare you the details. Definitely going to be "sleeping while the baby sleeps". Problem is that DH has decided to take the day off as well so I have to share a sick bed with boy cooties. Ew.

They always do that, don't they, pear? A giant poo and then they call asleep.

Slightly sick mummy of sick baby here. Have had two sleepless nights as DS won't get put down. Trying to nap with him today but tough while still holding him.

AGnu · 13/01/2014 15:41

I'm furious. DSis met a bloke & he seemed really keen. Took her out every day for at least the first week, strung her along for 2 months & then dumped her over facebook because he's "not sure what he wants". He's since been facebooking about taking some other girl out to the same place he took her. Twat. Angry My poor baby sister is devastated & has barely left her bedroom since! I'm also annoyed that no-one thought to tell me until several days later. I'd have been over there straight away if I'd known! Am going tomorrow anyway so I'll stock up on chocolate before I go! Apparently she's barely eating though. Anyone recommend a feel-good film for when you've been dumped, just in case I can coax her out?

Wow, what a jerkwad angu! Chocolate and man-hating/feminist movies are the way to go. I also used to be a big fan of "Down With the Sickness" by Disturbed when I was feeling the man-hatred in my college days Grin. Hope she's ok.

Urgh, still feeling like shite. I'm excited to go back to bed and hopefully have little M sleep through.

My brain is so mushed I can't actually think of any movies. That is Hmm

peardrop2 · 14/01/2014 09:31

Charlie's angels? That's girl power stuff!

peardrop2 · 14/01/2014 09:33

He's not that into you

peardrop2 · 14/01/2014 09:34

Lor ~ I'm so with you there. Napping with a baby is not easy Sad

bringonthetrumpets · 14/01/2014 21:42

M and I got to check out some tiny babies in-utero today. Twas lovely!

Urgh, sorry to hear about the rough night frusso !! I hate when that happens and they want to eat all night and you can't cover up without covering their faces up with the duvet

Feel kind of bad, M hasn't really had any food in the last day. She's still getting lots of milk so that's ok, right?
