Thanks peeps. I shall meet all scowling tomorrow with a Gaelic shrug of indifference!!

How amazing would it be vq if we could genuinely have the full gamut of emoticons that we actually would use. I would like a [cock sucker] one.

On a more serious and personal note . . . And TMI for sho.

DH has had 'bowel issues' as long as I have known him. He goes numerous times a day and they sound like weeing. We have to know the various satisfactory poo places in town just in case and he has to get up in the night for pooing.

This isn't normal is it? His Aunty died at 52 of bowel cancer. He needs to see a sodding doctor doesn't he?

Passmethecrisps · 13/10/2013 19:21

And in other news again. . . P Diddy's yacht is moored in the harbour down in town. Apparently it costs €300,000 per week to hire. Could we club together to get a long weekend, d'ya think?

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 13/10/2013 19:27

pass if we start saving now we could have the quiche 10year anniversary on the yacht?

YellowWellies · 13/10/2013 19:30

Pass that does rather sound like my Aunty and DSIL's bowel cancer symptoms (but also like IBS) he should go see a doc as soon as you're home. Men and docs are rubbish! Fingers crossed for him.

Check it out!

PetiteRaleuse · 13/10/2013 20:05

Whinging whining babies here all afternoon and evening. They're asleep now.

Passmethecrisps · 13/10/2013 20:28

Book a spot on the yacht, pr. 12 spaces only . . .

Passmethecrisps · 13/10/2013 20:30

And yw I had reckoned hoped that IBS was the issue. We have been together 13 years and it comes and goes. I have raised seeing the doc and he agrees but then it gets 'forgotten'.

ValiumQueen · 13/10/2013 20:38

Pass as you say he has had these issues for a long time. I doubt if it is anything cancerous as there would be other symptoms by now, but it is not 'normal' and needs to be investigated. My dad has those symptoms, but he is 80, weighs less than 7 stone and has had his stomach and large bowel removed because of ulcers (a long time ago). Your DH looks pretty fit (wink, for clarity) and healthy, so please do not worry. My dad takes codeine to regulate it, but that is not particularly reliable, and would not be appropriate for your DH either. It is probably IBS. (Whispers, did the PHD get done in time?)

Passmethecrisps · 13/10/2013 20:39

yes. Just. By the skin of his fucking teeth!

ValiumQueen · 13/10/2013 20:41

Always the way (grin, for clarity)

Pikz · 13/10/2013 20:42

I also would say IBS as anything more sinister would have far more symptoms after all that time.

Fo sho my shizzle and book me a place on that boat!!

Think I've got tonsillitis. Nursery again tomoz. DP and I both very stressed about a million and one things. I need to write some lists. Long lists.

LO is being awesome and awesomely tiring but awesome.

Pass we get stared at too. LO is very tall and bald and bonkers. Like PP said I got stared at for him being crazy and running about like a lunatic eating adult food. It's just jealous.

PurplePidjin · 13/10/2013 20:46

I am currently crocheting a boob hat. I sell them (normally animals not boobs!) for £15. You lot better get ordering so i can pay for that yacht Wink

Also a local shop wants me to do some Christmassy ones, suggestions please! Pudding, reindeer, santa with beard, snowman, robin?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 13/10/2013 20:52

Sorry pp I do not wear hat on my boobs. I wears a bra.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 13/10/2013 20:52

I am bidding on eBay for the first time in an age for a happy land castle. Is nerve wracking.

StuntNun · 13/10/2013 20:54

My BIL's baby was really chubby, she was on or above the 99th percentile for length and weight and she looked like a much older baby because of her size. She is now a very slim, pretty seven-year-old. OTOH my DS2's first pair of shoes at age 13 months were size 2.5. There are only four months between then but she was twice his size - but that just illustrates the huge difference between the 2nd and 99th percentiles.

Operation egg challenge started today with me having a Yorkshire pudding. I haven't fed James yet so we'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out if he reacts. FC please.

:( madame how awful

chasing its great to hear you say you don't feel depressed :)

Pudding hat sounds cute pp :)

Elizadoesdolittle · 13/10/2013 21:11

People scowling at P, how very dare they!

I've noticed people giving me funy looks when I'm out feeding E. When she had the tube I could see people obviously trying to avoid looking at us if you know what I mean. Kids used to come up to me and ask lots of questions which I loved. Adults looked embarrassed and tried to shoo the kids away but I always encouraged them to talk about it. But now I think it's cos E is so small they probably think I'm an awful mother giving a tiny baby grown up food. Sod em all pass!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 13/10/2013 21:47

Defo stunt

TheDetective · 13/10/2013 22:22

GTbaby · 14/10/2013 05:10

PARTY ADVICE NEEDED!

I wanted to just have dinner with the family with cake. However this is 15 adults and 6 kids and 3 babies! Fil only just came out of hospital and mil doesn't fancy cooking or cleaning. So we have booked a private hall in a local Indian place.

We are having two tables for adults. And one for kids. On the kids table I have party hats paper plates and cups. To make it for party like for them rather then a dinner.

The kids are 10, 7,7 ,5 ,4. Any ideas about what else to do? Toys, colouring in? Some kind of activity on the table? I usually stick a load of paper and colouring pencils in front of them and will prob end up doing same but want something different.

Will post on FB to. As I like hearing party advice. And all the lurkers don't post here enough! come out come out and say hello!

StuntNun · 14/10/2013 07:57

A shit night here as well, think it must be teefs cause J was crying at least every hour through the night the poor little lad. Bonjela is great stuff though - instant pain relief.

So this week is going to be chaos. Today I have the kitchen fitters coming to fit the utility, the joiner coming to finish the skirtings and do the boxing in bits in the bathroom and the stairs in the garage, and the floor people coming to do the floor all downstairs. It is impossible to know where to start everyone. Today will be the worst, I am hoping the utility will be done today as they have it half done already.

The DH goes to Budapest on Wednesday till Friday.

I have two small boys to look after as well.

And O won't eat his breakfast Confused

gt why don't you get colour in masks for them to make? Or that maize stuff they can make flowers out of, you can get it in ELC. Is a touch more interesting for the age range.

I didn't win my castle. Sad but then I saw another one and a moreboys one and DS1 loves small world stuff, so I am now bidding on those, they finish today. I think I have worked out how much this stuff goes for. FC.

PurplePidjin · 14/10/2013 08:36
