Good going pp

Can I ask a stupid question?

I don't do a lot any buying on eBay really, so if I win an item and I pay by pay pal, should I have had some money lurking I. Pay pal ready to pay or can pay pal make my payment and do it via the invoice like it does when you use pay pal on a regular website?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 14/10/2013 09:01

I won I won I won. One castle is mine. Yipppeeee. First Christmas present purchased!

Passmethecrisps · 14/10/2013 09:22

Hooray hooray!

Hooray for castles!

PetiteRaleuse · 14/10/2013 10:00

I think there's an MN discount at Party Pieces but I don't keep the discount emails.

Four teeth in a week here. And dd1 has twoof her back ones coming through.

Today so far: kids up, dressed and dumped at nursery. Ear bent by nursery director re work situation after several ear bending discussions over the weekend with neighbours. Billing issue at nursery sorted. Dry Laundry sorted and tidied. Another load in the washing. House hoovered and aired. Pets fed. About to start ironing shirts in front of catch up Masterchef (the French version is brilliant). Trying to distract myself from potentially unpleasant phone conversation this afternoon (see FB).

Pikz · 14/10/2013 10:16

It's all gone tits up here today.

God I hope he settles at nursery. Off to docs shortly to hopefully fix me.

No idea how to help DPs stress levels.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 14/10/2013 11:41

Oh no pikz sounds rough. Are you in work, or are you still going through the settling phase? What's up with you.... I must have missed something? Share And feel better. Xx

Hate going to the loo when there are workmen around. Hmm

Sophiathesnowfairy · 14/10/2013 11:42

Oh no tonsillitis. Poor you. Lists sounds like a good idea. And drugs. And daytime tv.

Pikz · 14/10/2013 12:17

Thank you.

I has drugs and tea. Fingers crossed will feel better tomorrow.

Still in settling phase as this is the first longer day he's done due to all the hysteria the last few weeks. He's doing 9.30-3.30 today to see how he goes.

I hate going to the loo and things like that when work men are in.

YellowWellies · 14/10/2013 12:31

Just back from popping round to see our neighbours who lost their son last week. So sad. It's just not fair for a parent to outlive their child. Jonas got lots of cuddles and seemed to bring some comfort - thanks for the advice to take him x

ChasingDaisy · 14/10/2013 13:23

Hope you feel better soon pikz. Rest and look after yourself Brew

YW, glad Jonas provided some comfort.

In self indulgent news, my My Single Friend profile is all set up, so tonight to distract myself from feeling utterly crap I am going to flirt with some men online.

Elizadoesdolittle · 14/10/2013 14:37

Hmm my post doesn't seem to have posted! It was something along the lines of:

yw I'm glad that you took J and it worked out well. My nan lost too sons and its only since I've got older and had my 2 girls that I realise the enormity this must have had on her life. One was 5 and the other in his 40's.

pikz hope you feel better soon.

chasing yay for online flirting. Bit of flirting will do you the world of good.

Pikz · 14/10/2013 16:04

Despite my fever and ridiculous pain I am doing the he managed 9-3!! And he didn't even notice dp and I when we went to get him!!!

Pikz · 14/10/2013 16:09

Doing a dance that should say!

MissMummy1 · 14/10/2013 16:18

Hoorah pikz

Hugs chasing

Wee Jonas would bring a smile to anyone's face. Glad you took him round.

M has been deposited at my mum's and I am going to work for a break. I am desperate to know about my job, although 90% sure I haven't got it Sad . Ho hum, I have another interview for a similar job with a different company tomorrow. Less pay but more benefits. We'll see.

MissMummy1 · 14/10/2013 16:20

I also had a massive strop with P early. Something along the lines of if he won't win my love being nice he can just buy me shit. primarily a new car. I was being VVV unreasonable Blush Blush Blush

YellowWellies · 14/10/2013 17:01

((((hugs))))) MM waiting to hear about job news is so nerve wracking that's probably why you were short with him. Have Thanks Thanks Thanks Brew Brew Brew If there's any justice you'll get it. And tell DH to focus on being nice - you've had a tough year but you'll be able to get yourself a car soon.

Pikz that's awesome-saucy news! And such a relief for you. We've got all this to come soon.

Thanks Eliza Smile .

I took the dog for a four mile stroll in the woods / our local park today. It was lush. DH is off sick today so he had the bear. Now I've just got to train Betsy not to walk under the buggy wheels! We're off for a run later. I love being outside at this time of year. I also got Jonas weighed and he's 17 lb 7 so has moved up to the 9th centile so I'm chuffed with that.

Passmethecrisps · 14/10/2013 17:59

Bon soir

Sorry to hear about evil tonsils pikz. Sounds shite.

And mm I reckon you are owed a bit of unreasonableness frankly.

That walk sounds nice yw. How is DH? Sounds like a wee touch of the bear was exactly what your neighbours needed.

My DH is obsessed with food. I don't want any tea but he insists on having a sit down at the table tea every night. Some nights I just want to veg in front of the telly eating food from a bowl which requires only one piece of cutlery. Tonight I suggested just cheese and bread and ham. He agreed but now it has become a starter of melon with ham followed by blah blah blah.

Just fancied cheese on toast.

Woe is me!!!

Passmethecrisps · 14/10/2013 18:01

And hooray for 9-3 pikz! That is brilliant and must be such a relief.

PetiteRaleuse · 14/10/2013 18:14

yw might be worth checking on the advised limits for walks for that breed and age? We were advised to keep walks relatively short and often the first few months so as not to strain the hips, and no 'forced'd running, just off lead running of his own accord iyswim. But goldies do have a tendancy towards hip problems so that is why - your breed might build uo strength earlier.

PetiteRaleuse · 14/10/2013 18:16

Leftovers again tonight. Raclette, baked potatoes and salted butter. We have just had a huge storm - the TV cut off for the duration of CDWM the bastard. Girls and cats loved watching the storm. The dog was scared. Anyway, comfort food. After my stressful afternoon I might even have a Wine but will see if DH is up for wine on a Monday!

TheDetective · 14/10/2013 18:23

I am going to have Raclette. On my birthday. Oh yes.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! Grin

Off to work later. Hmm

All prepared with my slimming world food to take. :(

At least I get to put Oscar to bed tonight, and will see him for 20 minutes in the morning I guess. Swings and roundabouts. Confused

YellowWellies · 14/10/2013 19:22

PR don't worry - I checked with the vet (who has borders herself) there's no limits for borders as they've got great stamina and no hip issues. Tough as old boots was her phrase. She runs and tries to drag me! I'm not letting her off the lead yet as I don't want to lose her Smile

MissMummy1 · 14/10/2013 19:56

A is allowed 5 mins for every month of his age, so at four months is getting 20ish min walks. But he is a lab. Smile

My DSis' deathtrap car failed it's MOT today. £900 to fix Shock Shock Shock Shock (the car is only worth £500 max.) She's gutted. Sad

MissMummy1 · 14/10/2013 19:56

*its

PetiteRaleuse · 14/10/2013 20:06

That's good then. Wasn't as such just wanted to point it out. Yes mm with lab blood they have the hip issue.
