In case anyone hasn't seen this product recall daily fail link...

WLmum · 01/10/2013 21:28

Fwiw bops I didn't think there was anything wrong with your post/question. Theres nothing wrong with asking a question. I'm passionate about bfing and would have chosen to do it even it were definitely the case that ff babies sleep better (glutton or fool??!), but I also don't think there's anything wrong with ff. we all have to do what works for us.

pidj I respect your passion for bfing.

Poor baby bops that sounds awful!
spotty hope dd is ok
Just discovered that dd1 has got 2 veruccas. She is just a virus magnet.
nutella being bilingual will be awesome!

itsMYNutella · 01/10/2013 21:36

Hales yes DP is German. I met him almost 4 years ago in New Zealand. We were both on holiday. That's why we've decided to set our wedding date as 2nd Nov. We met Oct 31st and first kissed on the 1st and the 2nd is the closest Saturday. Smile He is wonderful.

Spotty when DS screams for no reason (ok, there probably is a reason but not one we know about) we often say we are just poking him in the eye Grin
Urgh, he was super painful this afternoon. He followed me around shouting and moaning! I hope it is teeth or his cold and that he gets over it soon! It really made my head hurt!!

DP made me watch iron man 3. The things you do for love Hmm

ISpyPlumPie · 01/10/2013 22:00

Glad the appointment went well Bops and hope yours is sorted soon Lazza.

How's DD Spotty?

Back to work tomorrow Sad

WLmum · 01/10/2013 22:40

Awww nutella that's so lovely. DH and I have been together for 17 years (married 12). We don't have much time for each other at the moment but on the whole we rub along nicely. I'm really hoping that next year money won't be so tight and T might go to bed without a boob so DH and I might be able to get the odd weekend away together. Our lives are so hectic it's nice to be able to just 'be' together.

WLmum · 01/10/2013 22:42

Oh no ispy! Is ds going to nursery? Fx the days goes quickly and then you get loads of cuddles from your boys.

halestone · 01/10/2013 23:14

Ispy i hope your 1st day back goes well.

Well getting H to sleep tonight was a struggle. She learnt how to blow raspberries on my belly weekend so she does it all the time now. She did it tonight but got bored so crawled up my chest put her head against mine said awww and put her arms around my neck and then kept kissing me. It was super cuteGrin

oh hales that sounds like a lovely end to the day.

Busy day today. Defrosted freezer, shopping delivery, meeting at nursery and then onto playgroup all by 11.30. Tonight I am knackered and feeling unappreciated again... Hey ho!

Barbeasty · 02/10/2013 06:15

Good luck for today, ISpy.

I'm heading straight to site today, so I managed to sneak in a half hour lie in. Just sleeping until 5.30 makes such a difference.

SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2013 06:32

Good luck ispy!

Dd seems fine I just think she's wiped out. Hopefully half term will help her out

WLmum · 02/10/2013 09:47

I would like to award myself the gross trophy. After a maggot on the counter last week, this morning dd1 says 'mummy, Tabs has got something that looks weird'. She was sitting on the kitchen floor playing with a slug!! So gross! I can only assume it came in on the pram wheel. Washed her hands (twice), threw slugsy out, bleached the floor then noticed the slug juice on the foot if her baby grow - cue another retch.
And my Hoover is broken and new one won't be ready for collection until tomorrow.
Yuk yuk yuk!

hales that sounds super cute. Bless her.

itsMYNutella · 02/10/2013 10:12

WL that is gross! Ewwww. But it has reminded me of a story about my nephew. My mum loves her coffee and grinds up beans most mornings. She keeps the leftover grinds in a jam jar with a lack plastic coffee spoon. My nephew saw this jar once and asked "grandma, have you got a pet slug?" Grin Sorry If I've told it before.

ispy have a good first day at work!

hales DS likes to smother me in kisses. Yesterday I was lying on the floor being an obstacle course for him - obviously- and after elbowing me in the stomach a lot he launched himself at my face and have me lots of lovely open mouth dribbly kisses Hmm then he started trying to bite my lip!

halestone · 02/10/2013 10:26

WL ewww babies really will play with anything.

Nutella yeah the kissing turned into biting. I'm not sure how to stop the biting if i say stop or no she smiles and bites me againHmm Any suggestions on how to stop will be gratefully received.

Spotty glad your DD is better.

Beasty yay for abit of a sleep in.

2blessed i hope you have a nicer day today. Could you hint at DP to take you out for a meal so that you can feel abit more appreciated.

SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2013 10:29

Hales biting is a stage they all go through unfortunately. DD sometimes still does it now. All you can do, in my experience, is to remove them (ie put them down) and try to offer something they can bite! I hate biting!

SpottyTeacakes · 02/10/2013 10:30

Yuck WL! My friend's dd actually ate a slug when she was two. Her childminder saw it in her mouth but it was too late she had swallowed it!

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 02/10/2013 11:35

Ha my mums friend's daughter sucked a slug dry while they were sat in the garden. My mum was nearly sick!

We've been up since 5, not sure why. He was just ready for a play I think. We've been to swimtots and he's now zonked out. I'm exhausted and starving as he ate half my weetabix this morning. He ate all of his porridge and then was hanging off my breakfast bowl like a leech!

Baby bubble and rhyme this afternoon, it's all go go go.

PurplePidjin · 02/10/2013 11:55

I have to be passionate about breastfeeding. I have no choice, i can't afford formula. If i didn't breastfeed, R would starve.

BopsX3 · 02/10/2013 12:24

Eeewww all these slug stories are gross! Kids do some disgusting things sometimes Grin

DS1 decided to go on my eBay account yesterday when he was playing on my phone and ordered £25 worth of grand theft auto 5 posters Shock he's a nuisance! I think he thought he was buying the game. I've already told him he can't have it so he must've decided to take it upon himself to order it Grin. Luckily he hadn't paid for it so I've managed to cancel the order. Phew!

itsMYNutella · 02/10/2013 13:37

willyou that is so disgusting! and it also made me LOL in the street.
Ew ew ew GROSS!

lazzaroo · 02/10/2013 14:41

Help! Baby lazza's 'dribble rash' is back with a vengeance. The cream the dr gave us cleared it up before but it's really red again today and she keeps scratching at it & making herself bleed. It's red & sore all under her chin, neck and top of her chest. What can I put on it for instant relief?

Love all the stories....apart from the slug ones! Baby lazza is super cuddly too & gives good hugs. Especially when I get in from work. It's lovely Smile
