We got back at about midnight, and A woke at 3.30 and 6.30 then up at 7. So the best night in a while but I'm still tired!

It was a lovely wedding, and our NCT group have agreed to go to softplay in the new year as a meetup/birthday celebration. It was the first time the whole group has been together since I went back to work.

MIL is keeping DD for a bit, and I'm realising how much I use her to help with Anthony- what do I do with him while I get up?! Normally I stick the tv on, shut them in the lounge and leave them to it.

We were en route to the theatre (dd2 and Ts first time) and then dd2 was sick everywhere in the car - nice! DH and dd1 have gone as planned and I've got poorly dd2 on the sofa and trying to keep T happy and not harassing dd2. Hoping my mum will take T for a bit later so I can give dd2 some tlc.
For now its cbeebies all the way.
utopian that's about where we got to. I've done 2 nights of weaning, it's going in the right direction but I was up and down from 2-4 last night when I gave in and fed her. I feel like its in the right direction though as she did go down each time with just a cuddle.

We didn't do anything for Halloween here, and only one set of trick or treaters. I've been down visiting my dad in London, and meeting my nephew for the first time. He's 8 months old, but really far behind DS when he was that age. I know there's a range to these things, but DN can't sit up, has poor coordination, can't do the pincer movement or move things hand to hand, and his primary form of play is banging things. He has no muscle tone at all, his arms and legs are very skinny and floppy. I think he's been left to sit in his bouncy chair in front of the tv lots, but I'm a bit worried there might be something more behind it?

Oh dear stacks, I'd be worried too. What do his parents think?

I hope dd feels better soon WL.

stacks, think I'd be worried too. Have his parents noticed?

We tackled Tesco this morning and are planning to try a play group we've not been to before, this afternoon.

Stacks do you know when the HV is seeing them next? Hopefully she'll be able to help them.

H has had a massive nose bleed today we're booked in the Dr's later. I know he'll probably say what the pharmacist said but i'm worried about H loads.

Hmm ds is only just getting his pincer grip. Not sure if he passes things from hand to hand not watched Blush but dd didn't sit up until 8 months. Both dc are super skinny and have low muscle tone. I think the sitting might worry me if there's no effort being made at all but I probably wouldn't worry about the rest. That's just me though Smile

Been at work and got called into the managers office. I was a bit scared anyway it was about a complaint. The letter mentioned me being helpful and attentive etc but the person I was with basically being rude and unhelpful. The manager wanted my opinion and I felt like I was put in a pretty awkward position.

Dd2 seems much better now so hopefully just something that didn't agree with her, or maybe just too much sugar after yesterday and then DH letting her have waffles with maple syrup for breakfast!

spotty that's bitter sweet isn't it. You can always say something like 'I'm sure x didn't mean to be rude but I can see how it might have been construed as such by a stressed patient'.

Report
WLmum · 01/11/2013 14:23

I don't generally think any one thing is much to worry about but when it's lots of things or a general feeling it can be worth getting checked out.

Yay my box of wine (from £50 voucher from Lakeland heated airer) is coming in the next 90 mins!

Report
SpookyTeacakes · 01/11/2013 14:40

Well he asked me if I thought she was rude and I said that she didn't necessarily handle it they way I would have and I can see how it could have come across that way. Confused

Hope DD feeling better WL

I have been sick this afternoon Sad felt a bit rough earlier, then it just came over me while feeding baby lazza (unfortunately for her!). DH is at golf. Said he'd be back at 3pm. I tried to 'phone him after throwing up as I have both DD's & am struggling. He has left his phone at home. I am getting more & more angry as each minute passes.

WLmum · 01/11/2013 16:04

Sorry spotty but that made me laugh! I can just imagine him giving a cheeky grin afterwards (well, that's what baby lazza would do!)

Dreading the night weaning. He's been so sweet this afternoon, I feel like we're punishing him for no good reason...

That's thoughtful of them spooky. Who hammers at 8pm on a Friday night??

Dh and I have turned on MTV to see how appallingly out of touch with modern music we are these days. Frighteningly, it appears. Blush
