spooky was it you or WL who recommended a goodssoft play near Woking/Guildford? Wet and horrid and normally my mother comes today but as she's away I thought it might be fun for O.

On the hair front, all hair brushes hurt me apart from Mason Person - great for thick hair and gentle detangling. they aren't cheap but I've only owned two in my life, for about 15 years each!

WLmum · 31/10/2013 09:18

There have been lots less tears since we got a tangle teaser.
nutella - super excited for u!
utopian there are quite a few soft plays around here (I hate them all but dds/DH love them!). Woking leisure centre and little angels at rokers farm Guildford/woplesdon. Both have dedicated under 3s areas - LAs is prob more accessible but busier. Bockets farm in leather head has a massive soft play barn and family grapevine have a voucher for cheap (er) entry.
Please pray its not raining at 4.30 when we take 12 kids plus T in the ergo trick or treating!
Just got to do a bit of decorating/balloons and make sarnies and witches fingers then we're good to go!

Barbeasty · 31/10/2013 09:26

She went through a week of wetting in the day, but nothing in the night until last night. But the day time was when she wasn't getting her own way, especially if it related to Anthony. Fx that's over now.

And DD is having a sleepover at Granny's tonight, we'll take A home after the reception, so hopefully no association of being in the same bed as last night etc.

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 31/10/2013 09:35

Have fun at the wedding beasty.

And have fun Halloween parties Wl and spotty. We had ours yesterday so just going to wait in for the trick or treaters. MiL wanted to have him for tea again Hmm but I've told her I want him here while it's Halloween.

DS is being disgusting. He's licked the bottom of the pedal bin in the bathroom before I could stop him and has been running his hands around the toilet rim. Least it wasn't the other way around. He's also started saying "Ey!" at me, like I do when he's smacking the tv screen all the time then.

Trying to summon up the energy to get dressed. Although I'm not going anywhere for a bit anyway.

PurplePidjOrTreatin · 31/10/2013 13:41

Halloween activities at the cc this morning, rhyme time at the library in a minute. Pumpkin risotto on the hob for tea.

SpookyTeacakes · 31/10/2013 13:49

Hmm well my lion is fast asleep on the sofa and ds is fast asleep upstairs Hmm party is at 2:30. Have just realised I don't have any sweets in for trick or treaters although we don't usually get any...

lazzaroo · 31/10/2013 14:22

Halloween has done something to baby lazza! Today has been a write off, I have achieved very little (even by my usual standards!). She's been grizzly, not wanting to sleep but clearly tired, not happy up (or down)...Confused glad these days don't happen very often.

Hope everyone else having better days... pidj, you put me to shame Blush

WLmum · 31/10/2013 14:36

Desperately trying to get T to sleep before the party starts in 25 mins - still so much to do!

utopian99 · 31/10/2013 15:38

Grin for pumpkin risotto pidj!

PurplePidjOrTreatin · 31/10/2013 17:33

I have a baby-proof ish lounge. He gets dumped time for independent play while i mn in the kitchen get on with jobs. If he grizzles i sing at him!

halestone · 31/10/2013 18:33

Well H's 1st halloween hasn't worked out as planned her cold has come back with a vengeance. So we can't go to a party but i took her to the door to see the trick or treaters she got dead excited. She watched them taking sweets from the tub and the next time i took her the door she was grabbing the sweets to give to the children haha.Grin

Hope everyone's had a good Halloween.

J has his 7th tooth. Teeth 8 & 9 are causing troubles too. He's been in a fantastic mood all day but is a bit screamy now.

We've only had one lot of trick or treaters. DS cried when they left Halloween Grin

SpookyTeacakes · 31/10/2013 19:20

No trick or treaters here.... more sweets for me

Equimum · 31/10/2013 19:34

I got DS all dressed up in his pumpkin outfit to meet the trick or treaters, and we didn't get any Sad. I knew I should have bought chocolates rather than lollipops!

DS finally seems to be settling at nursery, but is teething, which isn't helping.

I hope everyone has a reasonable night's sleep tonight, and those of you partying have a great time.

WLmum · 31/10/2013 20:24

Kids party was full on crazy but they all had a great time. I'm exhausted now but will def find the energy for a large glass of wine while I scoff all the leftovers tidy up.

utopian99 · 31/10/2013 20:27

No trick or treaters here either equimum, and no outfit for O. I'll have to make it up to him next year when we're in london. He haa been having a lovely time ghosting around the flat in his great grandma's scarf though. Poor ds will you!

jackandjilly · 31/10/2013 20:36

Can I ask you wise ladies a question? Is it normal to not have my period back yet? Ds is nearly 11 months and has been sleeping through although not consistently, for a while. He feeds regularly during the day when I am at home but the 3 days I work it is just morning and night. I'm not exactly wanting it back GrinGrin but just wondering if I need to worry!

Halloween festivities sound great fun! Dd has been in her element.

SpookyTeacakes · 31/10/2013 20:43

I wouldn't worry jack, some people don't get them back until they stop completely

WLmum · 31/10/2013 21:47

jack I'd trade - I got mine back as soon as we started on solids.

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 31/10/2013 22:07

Ha after 7 months of continuous period I'm now down to just 2 week long ones a month! Bloody contraception is playing havoc with me but my only other option is the implant.

WLmum · 31/10/2013 22:40

Not trading with you willyou!

ISpyWithMyEvilEye · 31/10/2013 23:18

I only got mine back after 14 months last time and there's no sign of it yet this time so I wouldn't worry Jack.

jackandjilly · 01/11/2013 06:03

Ah thanks ladiesGrin willyou- I can sympathise with you too. Before dd I had a miscarriage which in turn led to a 9 month continuous period!!

Can someone please tell my children they need to sleep more! 4.15 todayzzzzzzzz

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 01/11/2013 07:12

I'm really sorry to hear that Jack.

Ugh 4:30? I came on to whinge that next door's yappy little dog had woken DS at 6! I do not function well early in a morning. We get up twice a night but the trade off is usually sleeping until at least 7.

What does everyone have planned today? We may descend upon my mum and dad and annoy them for the day. I dreamt about doing the washing all night. I need to get out more Grin

utopian99 · 01/11/2013 07:51

I actually dreamt that O slept till 6 last night, but alas it was a dream.

Think we need to go back to night weaning. Before we started it, he had just started sleeping through of his own accord, and I was worried that trying to reinforce it with night weaning put him back, so we stopped but whatever it was, the damage is done. If anything he's now worse because he's waking three times at night and for good at 5.30, although obviously still tired. I don't like causing him to be upset, and feeding at night was easier than the distress as well, but we're both getting pissed off enough with the situation for it to seem like the lesser evil now. Sad
