Did you manage to get there yet hales?

After dd's mammoth 14 hours sleep last night he had a 2.5 hour morning nap (well lunchtime) just debating whether or not to put him down again...

I've had 5inches cut off of my hair. Who would like to bet that dp doesn't notice??

WLmum · 30/10/2013 16:59

hales if its just streaks in snot I wouldn't worry, most likely just a little broken capillary due to sneezing/rubbing/bogies!

WLmum · 30/10/2013 19:42

Grr DH had the dds today while I was at work and didn't tie back dd2s v long hair properly. After a fun day at the park, rough and tumble and plenty of food getting rubbed in it, it's just taken me 30 minutes to brush it. Annoyance.

SpookyTeacakes · 30/10/2013 19:50

WL dd came back from my mums with something sticky in her hair. I told her it needed putting up but she didn't do it Angry we had to wash it because I couldn't brush it out (dd cried hysterically the whole time I tried).

Dp didn't notice my hair and has gone out now. Ffs.

utopian99 · 30/10/2013 20:14

I never notice hair either (I am an awful friend.) V annoying nonetheless though...

I remember to this day the upset caused by a walk on the beach with hair not tied up when I was about 6. All the sea salt turned it into one awful birds nest and my mum got pretty peeved trying to brush it out as i had been the one who refused to tie it back and I cried the whole time. Then asked for it to be cut short like my brother's the next day and insisted till it happened.

(After a year of being mistaken for a boy I grew it back again though) Blush

Hello ladies

Another one de lurking here! I have been really pants at posting recently due to work being crazy busy and rubbish sleep. I only have 7 weeks left to work now and I have been strict about no night boob so things are looking up!

Ds is also a gannet, he will eat well all day and take boobie numerous times (if i let him) he is a chunk at 23lb 14 oz

Dd came home with shed loads of brown paint in her hair tonight! I keep threatening to cut it all offGrin

SpookyTeacakes · 30/10/2013 20:26

Well it was at my boobs and is now at my shoulders so pretty noticeable really...

DD's nursery halloween party tomorrow. I've got to make ham sandwiches! They go trick or treating to four pre arranged houses in the village (or is it a hamlet if it doesn't have a shop or anything?) anyway I didn't want to buy anything new for dd so she's going in her lion outfit Grin it's so cute. As it's not a normal nursery day for her I have to go too as does ds!

Barbeasty · 30/10/2013 20:26

They give them waffles, beans and sausages at nursery every few weeks. It always goes down well. Then DD barely touches them here.

A fed almost all night last night. So I think my lack of sleep has had nothing to do with steroids, everything to do with a growth spurt! He'd better be walking and about 6 foot tall be the end of the week.

PurplePidjOrTreatin · 30/10/2013 21:33

Hello, JackandJilly :)

Halloween fun at surestart tomorrow, R will be sporting his ladybird onesie, complete with hood with antennae :o

WLmum · 30/10/2013 21:44

spotty have you tried a tangle teaser? I was a sceptic but they really are way better than any other hairbrushes.

itsMYNutella · 30/10/2013 21:54

WL I'm tempted by a tangle teaser, are they really worth it? I have very fine hair which makes some lovely tangled; and I have many memories of my mum pulling brushing it roughly when I was small and it was very long Hmm

pidj that onesie sounds super cute! Picture needed! Please Grin

It's wedding fever here! But I think we are almost done. Next time haha I'm not going to make my own cake. Or more people have to talk me out of it better! Thank goodness I'm not decorating it!
Wedding favours, table plan, table numbers all done and look pretty cool I reckon Smile
My mum arrived on Monday and has done a stunning job looking after DS. I actually had the chance to miss him, which is sort of nice. But we all need some peace and quiet.... Roll on next week Wink

itsMYNutella · 30/10/2013 21:55

Oh, and I need to post a short video of my tiny hooligan Casanova. Grin Will try and put it on Facebook.

FriendofDorothy · 30/10/2013 22:08

I am doing alright thanks. I am mainly OK but every now and then I have a moment when I realise that Mum is dead and it makes me cry.

It just feels so unfair.

I am now getting worried that The Little Mister isn't eating enough even though he has a relatively health appetite!

ISpyWithMyEvilEye · 30/10/2013 22:14

Yup Pidge I'd say that was fairly standard. Mind you, I do seem to have produced 2 x human dustbins so mu perspective could be a bit skewed. This was much in evidence ealier where we went round to our neighbours' for their DS's birthday. Almost straightaway N spotted the bowls of crisps and spent the whole time pointing at them while shouting "da" in an increasingly persistent way. He threw a right strop when I decided he'd had enough.

First full day at nursery went really well. He ate almost everything, napped well and had lots of fun playing. Fx it's the same tomorrow.

Nutella - sounds like the wedding prep is going well. Think it's lovely to make your own cake. Wish I'd been brave (or remotely talented) enough to it. We were very lucky though as DH's great aunt made ours.

think of you often.

halestone · 30/10/2013 22:45

Spotty i went and they said what WL said. Thank you both for your advice i was a little worried.

FoD don't worry about his food intake H barely eats more than a few mouthfuls of anything.

Nutella, how long till the wedding?

Beasty is DS sleeping better for you now i hope he is.

Pidj i think you meant Honeymum before, it was Dash's 1st birthday last week.

Hugs for you, fod, we're still thinking of you..

Can't believe dash is 1 now! O is only just over 10 months, and celebrated by face planting in the playground today. I forget he's still little, and he's just working out running speed toddling more like and now has a pink gravelly mark over one eye. Feel like a terrible parent.

halestone · 31/10/2013 02:33

Aww Utopian you'll be more bothered by it than he will. I hope he and you are ok Thanks

He seems fine, and i'm sure he"all do a lot worse in his life, I just feel bad that I wasn't able to stop him. We're having a nice snoozy feed now as sudden torrential rain seems to have woken him up; I'm getting a soothing boob massage from little smooth warm hands. Smile

SpookyTeacakes · 31/10/2013 06:13

I might get one WL her hair isn't that knotty she just cries every time I come near her with a brush so may well be worth a go!

Nutella that all sounds really exciting must be great to have your mum with you.

lazzaroo · 31/10/2013 06:13

I agree about the tangle tamer brush. Dd1 has long, thick hair. It's beautiful but a nightmare!! Before we got the brush she hated having her hair brushed. It's much better.

Baby lazza is just 10 months old now Smile. utopian, I can't believe you have running to contend with already! I think we're not far off walking. She's suddenly got much more confident pushing her walker along. Scary!

Halloween party at dd1 nursery today also. Same day as they have professional photographer in! So must remember to sendin spare outfit or we'll have photos of a little pumpkin! Get to take baby lazza in for some snaps of the 2 of them together, they'll do for some Xmas presents!!

Barbeasty · 31/10/2013 07:49

We got some detangle children's hairspray for DD which works well. I don't know what she does in her sleep to knot it like she does.

A didn't sleep again, but didn't really feed either, just whined and fussed all night. But DD wet her bed and DH had to see to her so of course his night was worse!

We've got the evening do tonight of one of my NCT group who's getting married today. I hope A is ok for MIL. And that I get some energy. Although a child free evening will be nice

But I'm sorting the playroom today, so I may not make it out again. It's that bad!

SpookyTeacakes · 31/10/2013 07:58

Oh no beasty! Dd wet the bed for a couple of weeks solid then came out with slapped cheek since then she's been dry again.

Ds got woken by dd coughing just before six so has been so grumpy all morning. Back in bed now though and I've got a load of ham sandwiches to make!
