At least it will all be over and done with. Hope she's not in too much pain.

halestone · 23/10/2013 01:01

After having 80 minutes sleep yesterday she has yet to go to sleep! I'm hoping she'll have a bottle and sleep now. Also my neighbours must hate us as she has found everything and anything she can that will make a loud noise if banged Hmm Add to that we've had the police at the back of our house arresting the kids from a carehome. Its been one noisy night!

Just had an email to say Micky Flanagan has had to reschedule this Saturday night. I've already bought the bloody train tickets (£50) and it's rescheduled for a Tuesday so we can't go anyway Sad (his mum died which is really sad but ffs I just know shitty national rail won't let me have my money back).

Ds has just woken up must be teeth. He's lying on me sucking his thumb wide awake Hmm

halestone · 23/10/2013 01:28

Shes asleep (happy dance)

Spotty thats crap, can you and DP not go to London and have a day out alone without the DC. I know its not what you originally planned but then at least you won't lose your money.

OP posts:
SpookyTeacakes · 23/10/2013 01:46

I can cancel the tickets but it's a £10 charge per ticket Shock I think we will have to. I'm feeling really down this whole week is so busy doing things but dd is ill and now this. Probably doesn't help that I'm so tired and I fell asleep before the end of GBBO Sad woe is me

WLmum · 23/10/2013 07:36

That sucks spotty
I had a freak out last night about the state of our house so stayed up til midnight doing jobs in an irrational manner! DH stood watching me for a bit like I was a loon til I growled at him not to. When I came to bed he was doing annoying noisy breathing. This morning when I made a cup if tea, mr incapable if shutting cupboard doors had left one open and I whacked my head. Bad mood? Me?

WLmum · 23/10/2013 07:37

Spot on the arms folded no eye contact harrumphing sofa anyone?

itsMYNutella · 23/10/2013 08:01

Wl I would join you but actually I just want to spend the day in bed and have someone else come and take care of DS... Just to be able to do nothing would be wonderful.
Well, I better go change poo pants and put him down for a nap.

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 23/10/2013 09:37

Oops this is not going to go down well in here.

Last night he slept 9-9 with one wake up at 4, I believe he is apologising for scratching me in the eye.

Sorry you're both feeling shit WL and nutella. Hope there's no bruise WL, I go on those mad cleaning binges when I get fed up. DP needs to learn to stand well back, preferably in the bathroom with the bleach and a cloth! I feel a mass clothes put away coming on today, I always run out of steam once everything is washing, ironed and sorted into piles.

Equimum · 23/10/2013 11:00

Sorry you're both feeling grotty WL and Nutella. WL I have those same meltdowns over the state of our house and so irrational jobs at silly hours, and yes, my DH looks at me like a loon too - he has a very specific lean against the wall, fold arms and gaze analytically stance which he saves just for those moments Confused.

You iron Willyou? To be fair, all DHs work shirts and trousers get ironed by they join a huge pile next to the things to put away Grin.

After a rubbish night Monday, DS decides to only have one nap yesterday (at nursery) then fall asleep at 6.40, which is unheard of. Was expecting a rough time, but he must have understood when I said I wanted to watch the GBBO final, and he sell until 1, then until 5.45 - that's an exceptionally good night here Grin.

Barbeasty · 23/10/2013 14:14

DD may actually have pointed at the ironing board and asked what it was, such is the level of ironing that goes on her. Please tell me we'll be able to get non-iron school shirts?

A went down beautifully at 8 last night, only to wake up at 9pm just as dinner was ready. Still wide awake when we went to bed. And with the putting him down for bitting me, we didn't get to sleep until 11 something. Then a brief wake up around 2am when he fell out of bed, before I had to get up at 5.

But I've got home from a day out on site to find that DH has cleaned the hall and lounge. So he's in my good books!

I will come and sit on the grotty sofa though as this cold isn't shifting. I've made a Dr appointment for tomorrow because it's going to my chest and I can't breathe properly. It was around this point after going back to work from DD's maternity leave that I got pneumonia, and I'm not having that happen.

Spotty could you use the tickets anyway and do/ see something else?

SpookyTeacakes · 23/10/2013 14:20

Yeah we will beasty still disappointing though.

Have you not been offered the pneumonia jab?

Ds has been asleep almost three hours Confused

halestone · 23/10/2013 16:57

Can the babies have nurofen and calpol? I know adults can but not sure about babies.

Beasty i hope your feeling better soon Thanks

WL and Willyou hope your having better afternoons now.

Equimum i am veryEnvy of that sleep.

OP posts:
Equimum · 23/10/2013 17:03

Beasty I hope the dr gives you something that helps.

Sorry Hales.

Eurgh! DS refused to nap all afternoon then conked out ten minutes ago. We have to jump in the car to go to the horse any minute now, and I need to put some trousers on him. Have a feeling tonight won't be as good as last night!

SpookyTeacakes · 23/10/2013 17:10

Hales you can alternate it just don't exceed the maximum dose of either one in 24 hours Smile

halestone · 23/10/2013 17:35

Thanks SpottyGrin

And Equimum i have my FX that tonight is the same as last night for you. They know how to keep us on our toes don't they?

SpookyTeacakes · 23/10/2013 19:14

Ds started crying about 30 seconds after I put him to bed so I went up and picked him up for a cuddle. Noticed my neck was all wet and went to pick up a muslin to wipe all the snot. By this time my eyes had adjusted to the dark and I realised it was sick not snot. It was all over him and me and his bed. Yuck!

IsThatTrue · 23/10/2013 19:40

Oh spotty I hope DS is ok, poor boy.

Well we seem to be making headway with night training. Last night DS went down at 7, woke at 7.30 so I rocked him for 10minutes and put him back to bed. He then slept until 4am Shock, a quick feed and back to bed until 6.20! It was wonderful except I kept waking up because my boobs felt like they were going to explode

I'm sorry to see others are having bad sleep. I'm pleased to report the rocking has gone from 45-60 minutes to 10-15 minutes now, and it's only been just over a week.

SpookyTeacakes · 23/10/2013 19:44

Thanks IsThat. I think it's just because he had such a ginormous dinner he didn't have room for the4oz of milk!

utopian99 · 23/10/2013 19:55

Just checking in briefly, beasty I've forgotten what you do again? I too will be on site tomorrow, with O in tow. Struggling with ppe - have a little high vis vest for him but no go on the hard hat/rigger boots. Fairly sure the HSE and my health visitor for that matter would be horrified either way but childcare is unfeasible for this visit...

In other news he managed to take both his bib and top off during supper. Hmm

utopian99 · 23/10/2013 19:58

spotty we had a similar problem two nights ago, vis a via spew. Eyes too big for his stomach..

Barbeasty · 23/10/2013 20:41

I work on the railway, so I was out walking several miles of track which will be renewed next year, dodging trains.

A is being horrible tonight. I've been bitten about 50 times. He's been wondering around crying and squawking. Obviously overtired. Calpol didn't seem to do much. DH hasn't helped. He's just offered to put A in the cot and shut the door. Several times.

halestone · 24/10/2013 01:12

No sleep yet she is so unbelievably tired shes rubbing her eyes constantly and yawning. We've tried everything these last 3 nights with barely any sleepHmm And tonight she has slapped bitten and ripped nearly every hair from my head. She Bit DP's ear apparently i have a white ginger female Mike Tyson shes head butted his nose so hard that hes complaining that shes hurt it! I just want sleepHmm

Sympathies to mums of wakeful babies.. O has been restless tonight too, dh settled him three times before bed then he was awake again at 3.30 when I settled without milk and now up again so I've given in.
hales and beasty when they're wide awake do you ever just stick them in a car friendly sleeping bag and go for a drive? Extreme solution maybe.. Or in PJs and wander round the house in the sling?
