Aaargh - the pram has suddenly decided it is no longer going to collapse and I can't fit it in my car fully assembled. Currently stuck in Asda car park with both DC in the rain awaiting rescue by DH.

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 20/10/2013 15:59

Oh no Ispy, that happened to me at next last month. Luckily i was in DP's beast of a car so it went in fully assembled. Hope he's got you now

SpookyTeacakes · 20/10/2013 16:06

Oh ispy! I had the same thing happen when dd was small. Luckily it fitted. Hope your dh has rescued you!

Ds is teething again full of snot and dribble!

utopian99 · 20/10/2013 16:19

Hope you've been rescued ispy?

We had 8pm-5am last night - I woke up with boobs so solid I couldn't lie on my side..

O was being super clingy and shouty this morning so gave him some calpol and he became an utter charmer. So much so that dh has just put me in the bath so relax and announced he's taking him out in the sling to hunt and gather chocolate together. Grin

ISpyPlumPie · 20/10/2013 16:42

Back home now - pram still up in the garage though

WLmum · 20/10/2013 17:09

utopian heavenly!

ISpyWithMyEvilEye · 20/10/2013 18:39

Have been sorting the DC's Halloween costumes today so thought I'd have a seasonal name change of my own.

WLmum · 20/10/2013 19:45

Ooh I like it ispy!

We've had a lovely day with friends over but I'm exhausted now. I was still in tesco buying ingredients for lunch when they arrived so it was a bit full on but I was pleased to see clean plates and lots of picking at leftovers in the kitchen! 2/3 of children in bed. I'm going to have a beverage and then bed!

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 20/10/2013 20:26

It's a good un Ispy

I have a really sore eyeball where J punched me at nap time. I am not his friend! First thing this morning he turned my eyelid inside out and now this. I think he's trying to blind me

WLmum · 20/10/2013 21:05

He's obviously heard about the evil eye and is worried it might turn on him. Smart boy!

itsMYNutella · 20/10/2013 22:13

willyou ouch! I can't remember if it was you or wl who said babies would try a saints patience.... Any one know a saint who had babies??? HmmHmmHmm

Ispy I like the name change. I can't think of one.... But I probably should get around to name changing at some point.....

I've just translated our stupid wedding buffet from German into English. Stupid French themed buffet! Why do chefs use such silly language? Problem is I know how often I laugh at menu translations so I hope it isn't too "Denglish" Confused argh!

halestone · 20/10/2013 22:22

Nutella i was thinking you could tell you PIL that you had hired a face painter to go to the ceremony. And that you want everyone to have yours and DP's initials painted on their faces for the whole day.

Love the name changes Ispy and Pidj.

I have driven to Norwich and back today to see my sister and niece. I left H with my nan i'm chuft to be back with her now though. Shes currently blowing raspberries in my belly instead of going to sleepGrin

First wake up, eye still hurts. He hit me in it again for good measure at bedtime. I will seek vengeance Halloween Angry

PurplePidjOrTreatin · 21/10/2013 08:36

Despite the massive disruption of not getting home from BILs till 6:15 (after bedtime) having had dinner in a service station, R did 6:30-4:45-7:30 and dp was nearly late for work! Please tell me this lasts, I'm dreading another growth spurt Haloween Sad

Oh, and walking while only holding on with one hand is The Best Game Ever apparently...

FriendofDorothy · 21/10/2013 09:59

We had a stupid night. Awake every two hours of so for no particular reason!

halestone · 21/10/2013 11:27

FoD could it be teeth related?

We also had a rubbish night she seemed dead agitated and her breathing is very loud. Does anyone know what that could be? She has no temperature no signs of being ill other than being abit of a grump and the breathing.

OP posts:
ISpyWithMyEvilEye · 21/10/2013 12:58

Agree it sounds like it could be teeth Fod.

That's a bit more puzzling Hales. Good that she's not got a temp but maybe get her checked over if you're worried and she seems a bit offside.

Went to the doctors. Bloods were normal but she's going to refer me to haematology as a precaution given the extent of the bruising I had. Am also going to have allergy testing to try and get to the bottom of the hives and hopefully find out what I need to avoid.

2blessed · 21/10/2013 13:54

utopian, great gesture by your DP.

Great sleep pidj

Good that you're getting a referral ispy, fx you get some clarity.

My last day at home before going back to work tomorrow Sad. Making a huge pot of chicken soup as DP is sick. Have to pick R up from nursery in an hour. Hope he did better than Friday when he was a bit teary.

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 21/10/2013 14:05

Glad she's referred you Ispy sounds like you have a good doctor at least.

Ugh rubbish news about work Blessed, but sure it will be fine.

Sorry about the bad nights.

I'm sat in A&E in my sunglasses while it's pissing down outside cos that's how I roll Confused my eye is agony, I've got the pain shakes.

itsMYNutella · 21/10/2013 14:28

Willyou oh no! That sounds awful! Hope you get seen really quick and it isn't too painful for long.

ispy glad you've been referred. Hope they manage to sort you out.

Fod have you been through the growth spurt that happens around this age? We had a couple of crazy nights about two weeks ago, it was just awful! But to be honest we have had a few other silly nights recently too. Hopefully it's teeth and he'll be fine soon Confused

DS is being quite lovely today. He seems a little more chilled than normal. Still his very active self but a little more sitting and looking going on instead of full on rampaging around the flat like usual. I am actually watching him while I have a Brew normally this isn't possible because I'd be chasing him around. Biscuit anyone? I have a selection pack that probably needs eating soon.... Maybe I'll put them out at the wedding Grin

ISpyWithMyEvilEye · 21/10/2013 14:35

Oh no Willyou that sounds really painful. Hope it gets sorted quickly. We're certainly keeping them busy down there on this thread aren't we?

Good luck for tomorrow 2blessed.

halestone · 21/10/2013 14:49

Willyou i hope your okThanks

Ispy good news about the blood tests Grin

2blessed hope your DP is ok and that R had a better day in nursery.

Nutella, send some biscuits this wayGrin

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 21/10/2013 15:54

Thanks folks. Scratched eyeball. Very painful but sod all they can do for me. I'll be mainlining painkillers and antibiotic eye cream for a few days. I got seen really quickly even though it was heaving down there.

utopian99 · 21/10/2013 16:14

Ooh willyou, not nice! Get well soon...

Also glad to hear about tests ispy (really want to call you evil with the nc)

Can't help usefully hales but hope she's okay?

Still trying to find a workable babysitter solution. Ds plays happily with strangers but then zooms back to me again. Now he can walk unaided he likes to toddle over to the table and grin at me over the edge which is cute but not work-efficient!
