Our naps are: first nap within two hours of getting up (which is 7- 7:30 ish) so nap is 9/9:30 ish and he sleeps 30-40 mins. Lunchtime nap is normally straight after eating and normally outside in the buggy. I find that at home it is a 40 minute nap but in the buggy it can easily be up to 1hr 20 mins - very long nap for us. Then often at about 4pm he needs another snooze for about 30 mins depending on how the other naps have gone.

Utopian a friend of mine whose DS will be 1 next month is also in exactly
the same sleeping pattern... Weird...

I mean with the night time wakings. He used to sleep through from about 8 pm to 7 am.

Argh it feels like ds has been crying alllll day. I know he's teething and grumpy but it's really grating on me. I've told him to shut up a few times

T has been lovely all day (sorry spotty) which makes me not want to beast her tonight but I know after another 2 hour wrangling I'll be desperate. I think it proves my theory that although she might have a bit of teething going on, it's not generally a problem so night shenanigans are as much 'want' as 'need' iukwim.

Well, I've just put DD to bed and I'm about to go and pick up my chinese. Don't worry, DH came home from work an hour early because he feels so ill. So I'm not leaving her home alone!

Got to take wide awake DS with me though.

Ooo yum we're having Chinese tomorrow because I'm going to forget to get the chicken out the freezer....plus I'm running out of Tupperware

Both dc in bed asleep without a fuss! Not sure how long it'll last

spotty your fears about your job have all disappeared? Have you settled in now?

Not really it's pretty hard going. People who've been there years still say they don't know everything and they still feel new. Some of the doctors are horrible too. I spend most of my time worrying I'm going to make a mistake and get in trouble. Hope your ex boss has something to offer you

Up to Manchester tomorrow for family stuff of dh's but also seeing friends- will be packed but fun I hope. Trying to meet up with some of the guys from my bastard ex employer. They all got rather done over by one of the directors after I left so there's a bit of a 'wartime' solidarity between us all, plus one of the guys has just had a new dc2, and one'a wife is due literally any day now.
Also hoping to catch old nct people- could be a weekend of reunions!

I hope it gets better Spotty, and Chinese is the way to go. A is so clingy, even putting him down makes him cry, I really couldn't face cooking.

Not sure I can do any cc tonight having just watched the news about serious case reviews of ss etc failing to protect vulnerable children. I just want to cuddle all mine and never let go.

Maryland i love all things Reeces my dad went to Norwich in August to spend a week with my sister and brought me a bag of loads of different reece's stuff. I loved them all haha.

DP is in my good books i text to say i was struggling today and that H was pretty much fighting me and her sleep. I forgot to mention i wanted chocolate. He showed up as i got H to sleep with a bounty trio bar and then he cuddled up to me and told me how much he loved me awwww.

WL i saw that and i agree it makes me want to cuddle H close and make sure she knows she's loved. How sad that some children well infact that anyone can be put through that.

I've come to the conclusion I'll draw the line just before I end up one of those ineffectual mothers who sits and watches as their "spirited" little darlings do exactly what they want verruca salt I've not seen the news tonight and have avoided all the threads as they have "upsetting content" warnings on and I don't want to get upset before bed. I'm a terrible stewer.

We're up screaming in pain again. If it doesn't come through soon, I'll be forced to go in and fetch it out myself.

Know what you all mean about the ss news. What really upsets me is what a small child muwst be thinking, when the person they most helplessly love/trust by behaves like that.

Hope not tmi but I have a white dot on the nipple where O bit me, and it still really hurts to feed on that side. Anyiideas what I can do or what it is? Am still alternating sides in case it's a block but it won't go away. spotty - you are the queen of all boob problem sorting? Anyone? I can't just stop on one side!

Utopian look up milk bleb/blister on kellymom. Is it raised? You really need to pop it. If it's flat you need to try and peel the skin off.

We've over slept by 20 minutes luckily we always get up in plenty of time!

Phew, luckily no beasting required - she slept til 4.45, feed til 5 then slept til 6.15. That'll do me!

I'm feeling particularly sensitive today as dd1s bestest friends mum called me last night to say she's changing schools. Dd1 will be devastated. It's not a surprise as we've both been on the waitlist for a school that's closer to us and much better than the one they currently attend. Dd1 is a sensitive soul and doesn't make friends easily so this could be a tricky time coming up.

Old boss has cancelled lunch today. Not having such a good day.

I've been at work since right, just tried to feed ds, he had a few sucks and decided he didn't want anymore! I think he could be self weaning??

DS is weaning himself off formula Spotty, he's now dropped all daytime bottles and just has 3 at night

beasty theoretically yes but so so annoyingly, even though we only live 100 metres further away than her bestie, 2 other people have joined the waiting list between us. We're now at number 3 - same place as we were over 2 years ago. I could cry.

spotty T sometimes does that but usually after a bit of coaxing she'll take a reasonable amount from her fave boob.
