WL i hope your ok. I find that i get stressed more easily if she doesn't settle of a night i think thats because i'm the most tired. I think you should have a cake day today.

Willyou i also love the name Grin i hops J's tooth comes through quickly but these Molars seem to take an age i spotted H's it feels like 2 weeks ago yet there still no closer to being here.

Ispy glad you had a nice 1st day back Grin

Beasty i hope bedtime went ok.

Utopian hope you enjoyed tormenting DP

Bop sounds like a fun dental experience.

Spotty i hope your DP's car gets fixed soon, but i'm secretly chuft with you Grin

I know this has been asked before but can they have cows milk as a drink yet?

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 03/10/2013 04:40

Not yet Hales, 12 months.

I know what you mean about the molars. He's been screaming and grabbing his ear for a week and a half and there's now a small bump on his gum, that's it! Teething poos started again today though so fingers crossed for some movement.

halestone · 03/10/2013 04:44

Heidi has the red cheeks and is sleeping better these will be teeth 10-11 though that i can see so i don't think the poor thing has stopped teething since her 1st ones come through in May. I know its bad at the moment as today she actually sat down and had her calpol with no fuss. I mean actually just swallowed it from the syringe with no crying/screaming or squirming i was shocked.

SpottyTeacakes · 03/10/2013 06:02

Molars are the worst ds only has the bottom two but I think he has more coming.

I've never heard of that bottle utopian. I do know people who've got pregnant before periods returned but also people who had to stop bf completely I think it all depends on the person.

Dd wet the bed again last night. She's just so under the weather at the moment, so tired all the time, feverish every one and then, coughs, colds Sad hopefully half term will help.

WL poor you I hope the cc works quickly for you.

Ispy glad you had a good first day back Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 03/10/2013 06:24

Ds has a temp Sad 38.3, teeth? Or something else? I've always been told teething causes a temp but not a fever, fever being over 38.5. But as a family we have quite low body temps of about 36.6...

I've got to have a blood test today as my thyroid was borderline last time. Same thing happened after dd think it's a pregnancy thing.

lazzaroo · 03/10/2013 06:45

WL I know exactly how you feel. I've reached that point several times but this week was breaking point, as you may have read. Anyway it's been 4 nights. Last night baby lazza got herself to sleep in 2 minutes & then slept till 4am. I fed her & she went back down till 6am. I hope it wasn't a one off! Either way, you have to do what is needed for everyone.

Hope DS is ok spotty. when baby lazza had roseola a while back her temp hit 39 & dr told me that while teething can cause temp it's unusual for it to go that high. She had a high temp for 3 days & then rash came out (hence it's called 3 day fever).

WLmum · 03/10/2013 07:08

I did think of you lazza! She was having a quick settle at 2ish then a feed at 4 and up at 6/6.30. Not great but I could handle it. This week it all seems to have gone very wrong. I know her teeth are probably a factor but can't be that much of an issue as she's fine all day.
She's all happy and perky today and I feel absolutely dreadful.
I'm going to try and catch a nap this morning when she's napping and dd2 is at preschool then write off tonight. No feeds, no pick ups and probably lots of crying. She got hysterical when I left her for about 30 seconds last night.

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 03/10/2013 08:25

Help! Jamie wants to play but I'm so so tired. We were up 4-7, then DP got up and I had half an hour. I cannot function on 4 hours sleep any more. I should've had a baby at 19, I could manage on 2 hours then post clubbing Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 03/10/2013 08:31

Go out WillYou. Have coffee and cake and home for a nap!

utopian99 · 03/10/2013 09:12

Sorry for bad nights WL, whenever we have a night bad enough for me to start muttering about cc it turns out to be illness or teeth and he's much better the next night so maybe T will be better tonight? Def a cake day first though.

What about the babisil Silbottle? (Can't make a link work for some reason on my phone but they sell on amazon)

itsMYNutella · 03/10/2013 09:15

Morning ladies.

ispy I'm glad your first day back went well! I'm starting to think I'd quite like to have a job to go back to but being a freelance teacher is not going to work Hmm or I'm just too disorganised to plan lessons and drop DS at a childminder if I can find one that would take a baby under 1 yr old
Oh well perhaps I'll set up an English childminding business, that'll work with pugs qualifications right??Hmm

WL I am much too wimpy to go hardcore on DS... He'll just have to bf forever Grin
He wakes up and cries at about midnight but will settle back to sleep with a cuddle. Then he wakes around 2 and again around 5 and he normally gets 1 boob at each wake up.... I want to try offering him water or just try cuddling him back to sleep but then when my boobs are really full I change my mindConfused

DS does do daytime naps without boob now though. Hurrah!

Lazza fx baby lazza keeps up the good sleeps for you!

I was going to write more but I'm being clawed by my miniature hooligan and I need a shower.

WLmum · 03/10/2013 09:43

Feeling your pain willyou. I've decided to eat chocolate, drink tea and tidy up (test out my new Hoover!!) instead of nap. I think trying to nap and ignore all the mess will stress me out more.
Right kitkat chunky didn't touch the sides, what's next??

WLmum · 03/10/2013 11:26

New Hoover is awesome (how sad am i?)but I've spotted so many bits that need cleaning or sorting. Oh well, not going to happen today.

utopian99 · 03/10/2013 11:29

Ooh ooh - muffin? Slab of green and blacks?

nutella snap on your lo sleep patterns!

Can I find out other people's daytime naps? We used to be three v regular ones, but more and more he's having one late morning and one late afternoon instead.

Maryland2013 · 03/10/2013 11:43

Hales my HV told me the other day that DS can have cows milk as a drink now- with meals etc he just can't have it as his main milk..

WL we have a baby dyson- a handheld one. It's one of my favourite things we've ever bought. I need to get out more..

Utopian we normally have 1 naps a day, one short (up to an hour) one long (up to 2 hours).

SpottyTeacakes · 03/10/2013 11:45

Ds goes down two hours after wake up, say 8am ish, and sleeps 90mins to two hours. Then has another sleep two hours later and sleeps the same again. If he's really tired he will have a short 3:30 nap too

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 03/10/2013 12:06

Maltesers are always the answer WL.#

DS has been on 2 naps for about 3 months now Nutella but he sleeps late in a morning (8ish, don't hate me, see earlier post). SO he'll sleep 10:30-11:30/12 and then 2:30/3:00-4:30/5:00. He averages about 3.5 hours nap a day. Recently he's started dropping one or other, e.g. yesterday he only slept 1-3. That was a loooooong morning Grin.

Ooh we have a ball dyson, bought last year. At first it was awesome but it's all ready starting to lose suction. I really want a handheld one as DS won't let me use the big one. He screams blue murder and tries to punch the hoover!

What's with the slug infestation in Wigan and surrounding areas?

halestone · 03/10/2013 12:08

Thank you Willyou and Maryland. Grin

Utopian H has a nap 2 hours after she wakes up and then she has a second one around 4pm. Tbh they vary in length and she sometimes has another one around 7:30pm. I get all excited thinking shes asleep for the night but it always a trick and then shes up till 11pm instead of her normal 10:30pm.

lazzaroo · 03/10/2013 12:18

It seems the trade off for a half decent nights sleep is day naps going to crap! Confused

utopian our naps are usually 2 hours after first wake up, then 2-3 hours after that. To be honest, most days we have 3 x 40min sleeps. I have a very distant memory of her sleeping for 1 hour and half, but she seems to have forgotten how to do that.

Today she was really unsettled at her 8am nap, only had about 10mins. Woke really grumpy after her 10.30 nap so I got her back to sleep & let her sleep on me. Haven't done that for ages but it was lovely Smile. I thought about everything else I should be doing & then thought 'sod it' Smile

Barbeasty · 03/10/2013 12:38

WillYou have you cleaned the filters? Makes a huge difference.

But our Dyson broke (again) last month, so I've replaced it with a miele and I love that.

But the best thing is how much use both DC have had of the box. It's still just about hanging on, taking up masses of space! It's been a dragon cave, witch's house, climbing frame and walker. Only point it wasn't liked was when A got stuck inside it, in the dark!

WLmum · 03/10/2013 13:20

willyou maltesers are the reason T was 9.9 at birth!!!

halestone · 03/10/2013 13:31

I love Lindt balls and also Reece's peanut butter cups Grin infact DP can get me some later haha.

OP posts:
halestone · 03/10/2013 15:51

I've had so many baby related injuries today headbutt to the eye. Scratched my neck and chest apart loads of bites and a refusal to sleep equals a grumpy H and a grumpy me! Oh and i forgot the opened palm slaps she seems to have learnt!!

OP posts:
WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 03/10/2013 16:02

I was just coming on to report my BRI Hales. The little bit me in ASDA! I was less than impressed and have teeth marks in my arm.

He also fell whilst cruising today and bounced off our padded leather bed frame. I thought he was fine but then spat out a load of blood Confused. Then walking round Aldi later he suddenly just had a chin full of blood again. I think he'd bitten his lip then messed with it in Aldi and made it bleed again. I felt like a right scumbag mum shopping while her baby quietly bleeds in the trolley!

PurplePidjin · 03/10/2013 17:52

R is shifting his naps again but currently 9 ish and 1:30 ish for 45-60 minutes each. We're pretty flexible in the day though so it depends what we're doing and how we're getting there iyswim.
