WL do you think I could just feed from one side now? he really hates the left side it's pretty bad at its job since the mastitis Wink

lazzaroo · 04/10/2013 18:35

Sometimes I think baby lazza secretly logs on to my mn account and reads my posts....after nap discussions yesterday, today she skipped her 10am nap! Will see what difference, if any, it makes to tonight.

WL that's sad for your DD. We went to look around a possible school for DD next year today. I find the whole thing scary & a bit sad!

Is there a 9 month growth spurt?! Baby lazza is eating like a pig....and still not feeding any less Confused

WLmum · 04/10/2013 20:06

spotty I'm sure just one side would be fine.

lazza its totally scary! Dd1 has a different friend (a girla that she likes but rarely plays with) coming home for tea next Friday. Fx they will start to play together at school. I just want to wrap her up and keep her with me!

T has learnt to wave properly today. So cute. And she's started to really enjoy her bath which is lovely.

jackandjilly · 04/10/2013 20:16

Evening all

WL I second the idea of wrapping up our big dd's and keeping them at homeSmile my dd had her first harvest festival today. She was really excited I was going but soon got upset when she realised she couldn't sit with me and ds. Hope your dd makes a new BFF!

Well in the last two weeks we have learned crawling, pulling up, waving and clapping ahhhhhhhh where has my baby gone!

PurplePidjin · 04/10/2013 20:31

Big growth spurt somewhere between 7 and 10 months, which is why i held off with the sleep training till i knew it had passed. It's linked to them getting mobile and therefore independent - R happily scuttles off at grandma's/play group now, even round corners and out of sight if he's aiming for someone. I think the next one is 12 but don't think any will be quite this big. At least, R is doing recognisable sounds which is language started, he's got 5 teeth so knows what's going on there and is beginning to be independent moving away from me to play with toys. That's the major development stuff covered afaik, it's fine tuning from here on in!

WLmum · 04/10/2013 21:48

Busy fortnight jack!

T ate a handful of sudocrem tonight - you'd think it would taste disgusting but she seemed to quite enjoy it! She wolfed down the fish pie I made for her at tea time and cried when it was all gone. First time ever I think. Hoorah.

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 05/10/2013 00:52

Ah I miss my baby! He's at his gran's as we've been to the local hero awards sobfest.

I neeeeed another baby! I am ridiculously broody, waaaah! But I want to devote myself to j at the same time. I'm so contrary!

SpottyTeacakes · 05/10/2013 07:24

Wow jack that's great Smile

WillYou I'm so glad I had 2.5 years of just dd. it's time you'll never get back again. At the same time though two close together apparently get on so well. It's such a personal decision.

Home alone today with two grumpy children. Loads of washing and cleaning to do

WLmum · 05/10/2013 07:44

Do it willyou! It was lovely being able to devote myself to dd1 for 3 years but during that time we were always trying for another one which was always in the back of my mind. I used to worry that if the age gap got too big she wouldn't get the benefit of a sibling as a playmate. It's only since dd2 has turned 3 that they play nicely together. It's not just the age gap though, their personalities are very different and as I said above dd1 is not the most social.

I'm back to thinking I need to do cc. T was up at 12, 2 and 5.30 each time needing a feed to settle. I'm wrecked.

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 05/10/2013 09:49

Poor you WL, I think they know when you're at the end of your tether so give you a good night to mess with you. Then it hurts all the more when they go back to waking again!

I am hungover this morning. We went to a charity awards night last night and were pretty drunk. I drank wine exclusively, that never ends well. My neighbours have picked the one Saturday we could've had a lie in to hire a bloody chainsaw and tackle their leilandi.

Trying to work up the energy to go and pick up J from MiL. Bleugh.

SpottyTeacakes · 05/10/2013 09:50

WillYou you need to go out for breakfast first Smile

WillYouDoTheMonsterMash · 05/10/2013 09:54

Do you think wetherspoons would deliver if I explained what dire need I'm in? Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 05/10/2013 10:20

Mmm I love a greasy breakfast!

SpottyTeacakes · 05/10/2013 10:53

Tesco tried to substitute my oregano for mixed herbs Angry

halestone · 05/10/2013 12:40

Willyou you could practice while you decide whether to ttc againGrin Hope you get a greasy breakfast.

WL i hope things go well for your DD1 and her new playdate.

Jack your DS is coming on so well nowGrin

Me and DP got to watch a film alone on TV last night. It was so nice to curl up and cuddle. apparently i have turned into a emotional person and love him loads at the moment

I know this makes me a bad mummy but i was having a Bacon Butty for dinner H ate half apparently it was the best thing ever. I was just surprised she ate so much she never eats well.

OP posts:
WLmum · 05/10/2013 15:06

Wow hales H has some good teeth/chewing action then - it was years before the bigs could tackle bacon.

halestone · 05/10/2013 15:16

WL she was biting small chunks off she loved it but ate half i was shocked!

SpottyTeacakes · 05/10/2013 15:21

halestone · 05/10/2013 15:43

Spotty my DP makes me go to my nans every sunday as apparently she makes the best bacon butties ever and she does one for us all every sunday.

Aww that's so nice! I love little family things like that Smile

FriendofDorothy · 05/10/2013 17:09

Fuck fuck fuck.

Not only did my Mum die last week, now my little kitten has been run over and killed :)

SpottyTeacakes · 05/10/2013 17:12

I saw that fod. Completely shit Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 05/10/2013 17:49

Dp has just been to that his grandad will likely pass away in the next day. He has motor neurone disease, probably diagnosed about a year ago maybe less Sad

itsMYNutella · 05/10/2013 18:43

Oh Fod I am so sorry! Sending lots of hugs your way. Wish I could think of some great words of wisdom for you but I can't. I'm just genuinely thinking of you and sending you all our best wishes instead. X

spotty that's also poo!

pidj I'm so glad you said developmental leap. DS has been sooooo hard all week! He definitely has teeth coming (2 on the bottom and I think 2 at the top...) he has had a rotten cold which he has kindly shared with me and the last two nights have been simply ridiculous. There is no other way to describe them! Please, someone lie to me and tell me he will start sleeping again soon!!!
ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused

On another note we made it around Ikea today with no screaming. From me, DP or DS. That has to be amazing right??
