pass we have a baby weaver travel cot! it's good and folds up small, but it is quite heavy though. I think it was only about £30 When do you go away? How is P this morning?

pr sorry things aren't going so well for you guys, I hate work ishoos Thanks

pass just read you go a week on Monday, ignore me!

gt I can't help with any bf q's I didn't manage it with S, she wouldn't latch on at all, I fed her with a syringe, and then the mw gave me a bottle to give her and said just give her that for now, and that was the extent of help I got trying to establish bf Sad
Sounds like you are doing a fantastic job though, well done!

pig how is F this morning?

We have a shoulder of lamb to slow cook for today as well pr I'm getting a bit fed up of lamb now though! dp has gone mad on it all of a sudden and we have had it every week for the last 5 weeks so far, I must say though, I do always enjoy it when he's slow cooked it with rosemary and garlic it's delish.

pig I think you need to wait 4 days and open an unpaid item case.

Yay for managing to get an evening kirrin

Bargains det I love buying on eBay. Hate selling, although I do. I just sold 6 next baby grows as a small bundle and they went for just £3.20 Hmm

Oh dear bryz I hope G perks up soon.

Glad you had a good night sophia hope you get an answer on your thread, I'm totally unfashionable so wouldn't be of any help lol.

We had a lovely afternoon yesterday, S had a first birthday party to go to, it was a family friend so some of my cousins were there with their children too, it's so cute watching them all play together. My cousins youngest is 16 months and was playing peekaboo with S, she kept hiding round the back of S's pushchair then running round and shouting boo, S couldn't stop giggling. The 4 and 8 year olds were arguing over who would push S round when she had a bit of a whinge. I was getting 8week old snuggles too Smile so all in all a good day. Oh and S met Mickey and Minnie as well.

ChasingDaisy · 29/09/2013 10:39

Morning all. Just time for a quick update as I am off to Oscar's best friends' 1st birthday party. Which is just what I need on a hangover Hmm Oscar slept through for XP last night and has awoken happy so I am pleased about that. Night out was good. There was kissing. He stayed at mine. I slept in his arms. Was lovely. I like him even more now. Will update properly later, need recovery food!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 29/09/2013 10:46

Smile chasing

fruitpastilles · 29/09/2013 10:47

Sounds lovely chasing I'm so happy for you, and can't wait for the full update! We need details Grin
Hangover food is the best!

BigPigLittlePig · 29/09/2013 10:52

Grin chasing Grin

VDH let me have a lie in this morning - I could have slept for hours more! F seems a little brighter this morning. Nearly took her to a&e in the night, she was vomiting again and letthargic and really unsettled. But she eventtually nodded back off and I slept on a mattress on her floor with her next to me. She's got a bit more colour in her cheeks today so fc the bug is effing off.

Brew for all the other mummies with poorly babies, and izzy.

What do you all have planned for today? Yummy dinners? Trips out?

fruitpastilles · 29/09/2013 11:07

Oh gosh pig how scary, I'm glad she seems a bit better this morning, hopefully she will pick up more as the day goes on.
We are having a yummy dinner, the lamb is in the oven on low and we are having the works with it.

S is snoozing on me, I really should go and put her in her cot and get on with cleaning this shit tip of a house.

PetiteRaleuse · 29/09/2013 11:45

pig that sounds scary

ChasingDaisy · 29/09/2013 12:17

At XP's flat. He's already made me cry. I hate him. I just want to take Oscar and run but the birthday party is next door.

YellowWellies · 29/09/2013 12:28

Shock Scary biscuits BP hope she's on the mend today xx

Brew for you Izzy

And vicarious awwwwws for Chasing sounds like a lovely night!

I love my husband to death I really do, but on the days when he experiences a healthy understanding of my day to day reality of caring for bear and pup - I love him even more. Today I'm working upstairs on freelance stuff and he has the two mischievous imps for the day and the task of two loads of washing and cooking tea .... haha after an hour his exasperation was obvious even through the ceiling and several walls as he's wailing desperately as Jonas flees the change mat complete with shit on his arse and Betsy does her best to commando poo under the table, and no chores are as yet done. I benevolently came down to give him a five minute breather for a cup of tea and the expression on his face suggested that if we weren't married already he'd have proposed then. I think he understands why I can get tetchy if he has to work late!!! He confessed to being amazed that I've managed the two of them and cooking and chores this week. So he's earned another vvvv. Glad it's not just me for whom sanity and small crawling creatures are not natural companions.

We had a great dog training session yesterday with a local trainer. She is helping us to train Betsy to poo and piss on command (she trains local guide dogs and they all learn this). We had great success with her on the lead and the greedy gannet will also sit, lie down and even leave a treat right in front of her nose (for sufficient bribes). Feeling a bit more sane - I know the training is tricksy but if we get this right life will be much easier in the future. We've also got rid of the cage as Betsy doesn't need it now with her enclosure so feeling much more humane too as she has a bit of safe space when we go out but isn't in dog jail where she's likely to go mad and come out twice as bouncy and crackers when we get home. Oh and we're even training her not to chase the cat (thanks to a squirty bottle of water!!!!) Grin. Some degree of calm if not any degree of housewifery or order is returning to Chez Wellies. I'll settle for calm frankly.

YellowWellies · 29/09/2013 12:33

Arrgh cross post Chasing he's a tosser. Save your tears for something worthwhile. What an odious man he can clearly tell that you had a lovely night and is downright jealous. Tool..... Chin up lovely you've got better things in your life now to concern yourself with. Your tears will only make him feel powerful. Next time tell him to save his chat - you're not interested. xxxxx

Det any news on dairy-gate? I've had dairy traces for two days in a row and to date the bear was much more tricky to put down both nights (but his second front tooth is coming through so it's hard to tell what from what), and he woke up at the ungodly hour of 6.40am this morning - normally I don't get out of bed before 7am but he woke up really sad so think he had a touch of tummy pain with it. So I'm going to knock it on the head until next week when I officially start my plan of 'how many Cadbury's Roses can I eat without causing my son pain?'....

ChasingDaisy · 29/09/2013 12:42

I don't feel safe here. How did I ever live like this?

TheDetective · 29/09/2013 13:02

I have awesome news on the dairygate front! Not only did he sleep through without a murmur even when I rolled in at 1.30 and knocked over a plastic fucking rocker on to the laminate floor making a massive racket! and didn't wake til 8.40!!! Super duper lie ins all round!

He's been his usual self all morning and we are almost at 24hrs post now!

DP wanted to give him cheese on toast for lunch Hmm. He doesn't get it does he?!!! Will try him with some lightly buttered toast perhaps on Tuesday. Or maybe mash with a tiny sprinkle of cheese. Will have a think.

Eeeeeeeek!!!

Passmethecrisps · 29/09/2013 13:15

Brilliant news det!

Get out of there chasing. yw is right. He knows you had fun and needs to spoil it.

Sounds scary bp. Glad she is a touch brighter today.

P is so miserable we ended up in OOH this morning at the say so of NHS 24. No sleep had for me at all as p woke at 10 pm and wailed almost non-stop. Her temp reached 39.5 after nurofen and the noise she was making was horrendous. Nurse on the phone from NHS could hear her and I could tell he was thinking meningitis. Doc saw her by which time her temp was 38.9. He said to monitor until late Afternoon and get back in touch if no improvement. She is asleep on my knee in her room now and she feels horrendously hot. Occasionally she lets out a wail and has just started shuddering. She has been asleep of sorts since 10:20. I am glad she is resting but the twitching is starting to concern me

Bryzoan · 29/09/2013 13:30

Another vote for taking o home chasing. Exp has no right to make you feel like that and need to understand you won't tolerate it.

That sounds awful pass. Is she drinking ok? The shuddering would worry me too. Hope all the poorly babies get better soon.

Passmethecrisps · 29/09/2013 13:32

She had 90ml milk at 6:30 which she threw up in bed then 120ml at 9:30. We keep offering the sippy cup. Sometimes she drinks sometimes she doesn't

Sophiathesnowfairy · 29/09/2013 13:32

Gosh you lot a lot of you are having a terrible time with poorly babies. Brew for all of you and hugs.

Hope you can enjoy your party chasing

Slow roast pork today and our little family walk when O gets up from his nap.

Have been all raing in church in high heels. I love my slippers!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 29/09/2013 13:43

Standing.

YellowWellies · 29/09/2013 13:48

Pass I'd call NHS24 back love, I'm sure it's not but sometimes when wee ones get a fever they get febrile convulsions and I am sure the shudders are just her shivering with fever but just in case. Humour me. Am sure you are worrying the same thing so this is just a back up to say call them again - you are not being paranoid. Poor wee ladies in Crisp Towers - lots of love being sent from us.

Sophia sounds like a fab day!

Chasing I'd just make your excuses and leave. Fake an illness if you have to. No need to hang around - you're not his doormat anymore you are a strong independent lady. XP has seen O and acted like a twat - his reward for such behaviour is you going home. It might teach him to be civil in the future if he wants you to share celebrations.

Passmethecrisps · 29/09/2013 13:53

Still asleep but still letting out wails and shudders. I will try to extricate myself from underneath her and give NHS 24 a call back. Doc reckoned if no improvement they would want her in for observation. Must try and get her temp as well

PetiteRaleuse · 29/09/2013 13:53

Just been buying LO's birthday presents. A vtech walker/ activity centre and a vtech karaoke maching. Will have a big toy clearout just before her birthday. Amazon was the cheapest place, even cheaper than ebay. Plus I get free delivery. I love Amazon.

The lamb is busy slow roasting and the house stinks of garlic. Yum. About to go out for a walk with the dog and girls. I love autumn weather.

chasing you coped there before despite not feeling safe because you didn't realise you had a choice. Enjoy the party and enjoy getting home to your safe place later on x

PetiteRaleuse · 29/09/2013 13:54

pass to you too :(

MissMummy1 · 29/09/2013 14:09

Sad Boo to poorly babies. Pass please take YW's advice and phone NHS24. Sounds horrendously scary. Big hugs to you and P xo

Chasing sooo pleased you had a great night last night. XP is an utter twunt, you don't need to deal with his nonsense anymore - he is someone else's problem.

GT I agree that if you can get past the first couple of weeks of BF'ing it becomes much much easier. I also set myself goals - helped immensely. I only wish M could have matched my 6 month goal Hmm

Sorry you're still not getting much sleep izzy

Where oh where is VQ ?!

YW glad the training is going well. Don't fret if she goes through a naughty, boundary pushing stage (we are thankfully coming out of it!). I don't view A's crate as a jail. It is his space. During the day, the door is always open and he can come and go as he pleases. He is locked in at night for his own safety and more often than not takes himself to bed. Come next spring he will have a shelter outside and spend most of his time out there (undecided about him sleeping outside still).

We have had a lovely weekend. P has almost regained his D. Him being at work has really helped our relationship, and I think we have both learned a lot being forced to spend 3.5 solid fucking months together. We spent a day in Edinburgh yesterday, had a comical domestic in John Lewis a year to the day over pushchairs again (he has agreed we can buy a BJCM at some point to keep in the car, hoorah!), then we had wine and tapas with a good mutual friend last night. I completely surpassed myself cooking wise and was sooo chuffed with the results! Ate too much and drank too much so having a lazy day today. DP, Adog and M are all snoozing. I am contemplating slow roasting a leg of lamb and making DP some banoffee puds. Smile

BigPigLittlePig · 29/09/2013 14:17

Pass - I'd swing by the hospital tbh for peace of mind. It probably is just a horrid viral thing but just to be sure xx

GTbaby · 29/09/2013 14:23

Sry. Very quick. Chasing say ur taking lo out for a walk. Sorted.

Hugs to poorly babies

Passmethecrisps · 29/09/2013 14:47

Ok. Popped p down - Wailed then fell immediately asleep. Took her temp with under arm thermometer - 38.5. Called NHS 24. They wanted A&E then suggested OOH as doc could refer straight up to paed if necessary.

Just took her temperature now about 15 minutes later - 39.1.

Poor wee soul. Nurse on the phone kept saying "that noise. Is it that noise she has been making all day?" Yes. That noise. It is horrendous. She is sitting on my knee now just staring into space. She is absolutely knackered.
