I'm in my trackie bottoms, painting my nails. It is strange without O but I am enjoying my day off so far. Looking forward to tonight, can't wait to go out and it bloody better be 'the night'! Can't wait to see him again, I really really like him.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/09/2013 14:59

Ooh a very well known French sleb was in our village today filming something (it's quite a famous village) and DH saw him. Tis very rare to see slebs this side of the border. You do see some in Lux from time to time.

I hope you enjoy your evenings out. I'm debating whether or not I can be arsed to cook or if I should just shove a pizza in the oven for dinner tonight. I have a shoulder of lamb that I was going to slow roast with plums and shallots. But I can't be bothered to peel the shallots

YellowWellies · 28/09/2013 15:00

Det dairy effects tend to be 8-12 hours after so if you go out early enough you might miss it!!! One for DP Grin fingers crossed all is well. I bought a box of Roses to start testing! Smile

TheDetective · 28/09/2013 15:05

I did actually plan it so I wouldn't be here.

Bad Detective Blush Grin

I'm planning all sorts of culinary delights for O should this go well. Slowly slowly obvs. But it would make life SO much easier and cheaper if he could just have fecking dairy without a nervous breakdown!

YellowWellies · 28/09/2013 15:19

You've started him on yogurt but if this doesn't go well - next time start him on trace dairy cooked in something, then butter, then cheese, then yogurt and then milk as yogurt is quite a strong first introduction. We were told no more than 1 tsp at a time at first too. But fingers crossed it'll go fine. Will DP be observant enough to notice a reaction if its subtle (wheezing, rash, tummy ache, wind)?

YellowWellies · 28/09/2013 15:20

Det I'm excited for you. It's going to be lovely when the CMPI babies can start to eat normally. And me too. If J could let me have dairy I'd happily BF until he's two!

TheDetective · 28/09/2013 15:23

I just decided to bite the bullet and go for it to be honest. I was going to start with butter, but we don't have any in. And yogurt of milk was all I could find when I plucked up the courage!

DP picks up his reactions as much as me, surprisingly! He's pretty good at spotting it.

O has been calm today, so again, figured today was a good day to try. I needed a time when I had 2 days off work together, that O was calm and there was nothing else going on to bugger up the observation!

Just happened to be a plus point that I was off out tonight. And it's DP's turn for night duty (if there is one!) Grin

He's still asleep. Which is good. Hoping for a good mood when he wakes up too!

TheDetective · 28/09/2013 15:24

I will actually have a party when this fucks off out our lives hopefully! I'm not even messing! There will be a big celebration!!!!

ChasingDaisy · 28/09/2013 16:32

I'm about to have my first shower in 4 months without Oscar trying to climb in with me or whinging because he can't see me. Am ridiculously excited about this. I may wash my hair twice.

BigPigLittlePig · 28/09/2013 17:00

Good luck det. And enjoy both the shower and your night out chasing - full updates expected (perhaps a live date thread??).

QQ. Am stressing about F. Every bottle she has, about 20 minutes later she pretty much empties it into her nappy. Literally looks like a bottle of milk coming straight out. Same happens with water. She's not eating solids. She is cross, intermittently, but much more so than usual. And she is definitely skinnier. It's only today that the poo has been an ishoo. But I don't see how she can be getting enough liquids in....she;s been again. GTG Sad

ChasingDaisy · 28/09/2013 17:33

pig in my completely non expert opinion, it does sound a little worrying. Maybe phone NHS direct? Although obviously you know a lot more than me about all things medical.

I did wash my hair twice. And did a face mask. I am shriveled like a prune. Dinner now and then beautification and drinking begins.

Pikz · 28/09/2013 17:38

Pig is it like very pale brown gloop?

If so we had it a couple of weeks back. Diagnosed ad tummy bug. Took about a week to sort properly. Was told lots of fluids and offer plain solids. Rice, toast, bananas, cereal

GTbaby · 28/09/2013 18:21

Did any of u have to self inject medication to prevent blood clots after birth.

I was given some today. I'm not comfortable doing it nore is FH.

Can I wait to go gp tomorrow and have them do it?

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 28/09/2013 18:25

chasing good luck tonight, look forward to the update.

det fingers crossed O is ok. sensible plan to go out imvho. As yw says, it will be so good when those with allergies/intolerances can move on (to the extent that is possible, I prob haven't expressed that well).

Had work party last night - great gatsby themed. I didn't hate how I looked. Was pretty good fun. Felt rough after some booze and midnight bedtime (usually a between 9-10pm kind of wild child). Was super grateful to S for the 5am start. But DH did whisk him away until 7am when he went to work.

bp hope F better soon.

Um, am sure I had more to say. S not conked out by feeding so off to try and cave instantly self settling!

BigPigLittlePig · 28/09/2013 18:30

Pikz more of a magnolia colour. Enjoy your tea folks!

Good luck madam

MadameGazelleIsMyMum · 28/09/2013 18:31

GT yes both times. Not sure - my DH seemed to rather enjoy injecting me!! I managed to do myself ok too. Pinch fleshy bit of arm, insert and depress. Don't need to worry about precision as I understood it. Am sure someone more knowledgeable will be along.

pr lamb sounds amazing. I would love to have a list of your go-to meals. Am so bored of my chilli con carne - chicken stir fry - meatballs and pasta - roast meat +veg - and repeat repertoire and your foodie posts always make me drool!!

ChasingDaisy · 28/09/2013 18:40

I've been drinking. A bit. And I'm about to apply eyeliner.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/09/2013 19:00

I decided on pizza and salad. Have found a slow roasted lamb recipe which takes four-five hours in the oven so will try and get up early and do it for tomorrow's lunch. Looks really easy. Happy to swap recipes gazelle if you give me your meatball recipe. I love meatballs but have never found a recipe I really like to match my ex MIL who was Italian.

Good luck with the eyeliner chasing :) and enjoy your evening.

TheDetective · 28/09/2013 19:01

I applied liquid eyeliner with a baby attached to leg. Similar to drunk I would guess...!

I was thinking of you enviously while trying to get ready with a clearly very bored and destructive O on the war path!

He is very frustrating right now. If I go out the room, and peek through the door - he acts like a normal baby. No trouble really. Minute I am back in he is a blummin' tear away climbing, pulling, breaking, whining etc etc.

I'm on to you little O. Yes I am!

I am all ready, going to set off after 1 more game of candy crush Blush

Have fun, and be very, very, VERY bad chasing Grin.

GT Very common - unfortunately GP won't do them. Midwife who comes to see you might, but then they don't come every day. Have you been given 7 days worth? I can only think of one risk factor why you might need them. I don't know why they have given you them tbh. They aren't so bad to self administer, I did them when pregnant with O as I went in with calf pain at 34 weeks. Anyone can do them for you, your sister, mum?

ChasingDaisy · 28/09/2013 19:12

Smudged eyeliner is sexy right?

Passmethecrisps · 28/09/2013 19:25

Of course!

I would maybe call the NHS number bp. If you think she looks thinner why take the risk? Probably just a bug.

Enjoy your night out chasing.

We were at a wedding this afternoon. P has been utterly miserable. Out stupid forehead thermometer puts her as having a low fever. She has a cough and is very unhappy. She is now in bed so fingers crossed she stays this way.

I have 300 pages of thesis on my knee. Fun night for me!

misslaughalot · 28/09/2013 19:34

I had the injections GT but DP did them for me as I really couldn't muster up the courage to do it myself, ridiculous really.

Loo updates tonight please Chasing!

Pikz · 28/09/2013 19:37

I did my own injections GT. Found it easier in the thigh. They do make you bruise badly FYI

BigPigLittlePig · 28/09/2013 20:01

Tonights go-to-sleep-baby technique involved a walk through the village with F in the sling. Took 40 minutes but she's gone off and is now in bed....fc she stays there for a while. The walk was interesting....it involved an escaped puppy who got very excited and licked me and F to death which provoked much giggling and made me think of chasings O.

Det enjoy your night out, and chasing too - smudgy eye liner is deffo sexy Wink

GT obvsiously it's different with older people, such as I deal with, but when we send people home from hospital on blood thinners, if family/friends/patient can't or won't do them, we make arrangements with the district nurses or the GP practice. Are you home now? Or staying put another night? Hope the bf is going ok, and you've got some stronger painkillers on board.

Sorry to hear P is poorly pass. Hope she has a settled night. Have some Wine to assist with thesis reading!

Passmethecrisps · 28/09/2013 20:10

sounds fun bp!

I have Wine and have fixed some wonky tables. Dh is now snoring with ageing pussy on his knee.
