Maybe try for a good sleep tonight pp and a good old rogering tomorrow!! Grin

ChasingDaisy · 10/08/2013 21:38

pikz yes to the teeth. There never seems to be a break from it. Poor sod.

kyz I reckon small steps is the way forwards for you. Pick one thing you would like to change and make baby steps towards completing it. That way it won't seem as overwhelming and you will gain confidence in yourself when you achieve your goal. Until very recently I was a quitter and a procrastinator but (with more than a little help from the wonderful PR) I can now set myself achievable goals and I actually believe that I can do anything I put my mind to.

ValiumQueen · 10/08/2013 21:58

Chasing I think we are all missing MM, and this is compounding us missing Izzy. Two people who have left, hopefully temporarily, because of things said here and/or on FB. Hopefully we will all be back together again soon. If anyone is not on FB, Izzys wee J is beginning to have some solids, so hopefully sleep will soon follow.

I have good news to report - J has kept all milk, solids (however minuscule) and medication down today, and was in his cot asleep by 8.45pm. Of course now I have written this it will all go tits up Grin The only issue he has from the Omeprazole is wind. Not as ad as the ranitadine wind as that did fuck all for the acid. He is just very wriggly and burpy, but the burps do not hurt. He is still posseting, but that is ok.

Night night quiche, and thinking of you Izzy and MM

ChasingDaisy · 10/08/2013 22:04

I think I'm just scared that the quiche will lose its closeness. I needs the quiche

Kyz · 10/08/2013 22:05

I miss mm and izzy, I do hope they're back soon, though it's lovely to hear of J's progress on Facebook from Izzy :)

Woohoo vq that's good stuff! :D

Early night for me tonight, hoping it's not like last night, though E took over an hour to settle (two dummy inserts but no crying, so definitely could be worse!) no idea why. I have calpol, water and teething granules and gel on my bedside table just in case!

PurplePidjin · 10/08/2013 22:06

Kyz you need to value yourself more. If you can't "for you" maybe you could so that you're a healthier mummy? My biggest fear is dp's health deteriorating again and R growing up fatherless. That's a huge motivating force Sad

Kyz · 10/08/2013 22:08

forgot to say, chasing i'ma try a small thing at a time :) Don't worry, the quiche won't lose it's closeness I hope we're in this for the long haul i hope

ValiumQueen · 10/08/2013 22:09

Chasing I think over time the thread will become quieter as folk have other babies or significant events, but I think the friendships forged already will continue, possibly more so on FB. I think that is part of life, constantly changing. Also in time you will need the quiche less as you get stronger, but I think at the moment we are still strong and fucking awesome, and here for you x

TheDetective · 10/08/2013 22:12

I don't think there is anything I am allowed from France on SW PR Grin

I've found the boxsets. Going to check them over later!

Glad J has had a good day VQ.

Kyz I can't do elimination diets either. Well, I don't think I can. I've not tried. But if I tell myself I can't have something, I usually want it more. So I'd end up cracking. I wanted something that would change my habits for life, not just for weight loss. I'm hopeful that I can keep this up.

Chasing Enjoy Ikea!

Kyz Yippee for standing E! Bet he and you! were chuffed!

Glad to hear other babies are strange like O in the ear cleaning department!!

ChasingDaisy · 10/08/2013 22:12

Thanks VQ, you are right of course Smile There are already 2 quichettes who I would consider actual friends now and I hope that will continue. I always feel wibbly at night. Will be fine tomorrow.

Night all x

Kyz · 10/08/2013 22:14

pp That is what I am going to try to keep in mind. I need to do this. I need to want to do this too. I want E to have good eating and exercise habits and it would be really hypocritical of me to expect him to eat well and run around like a loon if I can't at least set a good example for him.

Night quiche, hope for a good night all round, especially those who need it most xx

TheDetective · 10/08/2013 22:14

Yes Kyz I am doing this for O. So I can be fit and run around after him, get on the floor and play with him (which I struggle with because of the epis pain, but hoping losing weight will help with that?).

Passmethecrisps · 10/08/2013 22:44

Hia. Parents just left. Until tomorrow morning.

Passmethecrisps · 10/08/2013 22:45

Sorry. Only one Biscuit

Passmethecrisps · 10/08/2013 22:45

You will have to share.

Good for the dieters!

daisychain76 · 10/08/2013 22:58

Just spent nearly 2 hours trying to ice a Gnasher (from the Beano) cake and it still looks like a hedghog. Arrgh!

Passmethecrisps · 10/08/2013 23:00

But gnasher does look like a hedgehog so I would say job done. Slightly longer legs and a collar and job's a good n

TheDetective · 10/08/2013 23:09

That's 1hr 59 minutes longer than I would have spent Daisy. MIL can do that shit. I can not. Thank fuck MIL can. Grin

TheDetective · 10/08/2013 23:12

I have been going through O's next sized clothing, working out what I still need to pick up.

I am feeling depressed. It is all navy blue and red. FFS. Where are the nice brightly coloured clothes gone? :(

Stupid fecking shops. Get some nice designs please! Next's winter collection is utter shite. I have bought nothing from the newborn range.

daisychain76 · 10/08/2013 23:12

Collar, that?s what l forgot!

daisychain76 · 10/08/2013 23:12

Collar, that?s what l forgot!

BigPigLittlePig · 10/08/2013 23:16

Bleurgh.

Night quiche.

Keep your peckers up xx

GTbaby · 10/08/2013 23:44

Det. I had to pick out an outfit today and realised he actually have very few wearable clothes. All too small.
Need more tracky bottoms as jeans seem uncomfy. N a few cardigans for Autumn.
Need to really sort out his old clothes for bump to mk sure I actually make use of them!

Anything with tags still on are going in the re gift box.

YellowWellies · 10/08/2013 23:44

Hello! I've just got in from the pub!!! With DH like a proper grown up married couple. We went to a fab old man's pub (my favourite type) and drank great big lovely pints of real ale and everyfink Grin Grin Grin and got home to a wide awake bear delightedly cuddling, giggling and trying to snog / pat my sister. He was well chuffed at unexpected auntie cuddles Envy Smile . And even more delighted to see me and DH up late...

MM had a lovely BBQ for Tilly today - was v fab lots of food, chat and wee ones playing everywhere. I hope she'll be back soon. She has got a lot on too ATM.

Det it's funny if I'm dieting for 'me' like to lose weight I'm rubbish always craving the few things I can't have. Like Kyz says somehow if you're doing it for someone else and particularly a baby it's easier. 9 months without chocolate or cheese would be unthinkable but when you know it's going to cause them real pain and sleepless nights for you - you just genuinely scrub it off your wish list for the time being. It's easier when you physically can't have it as it becomes a black and white issue.

TheDetective · 11/08/2013 00:04

OH FUCK I JUST FOUND BODEN.

I want to cry! Lovely bright colours.

Bank breakingly, card snappingly, jaw droppingly expensive.

WAAAAAAAAH! £39 for a gorgeous snow suit. Can I? CAN I?!

Fuck. Not this fucking month I can't. Hmm
