I just want this to end. Started the process at the beginning of feb and still nothing. Not even a fucking court appointment. I can't even go to the gp about stress as I can't register at the gp and private would cost me tons. I need to stay in the uk system till November as I want holiday pay now that they refuse to pay me anything.

Kyz · 09/08/2013 14:48

Mmm cooking this tonight: www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/roastcodwithalemonga_3477

Replaced lemon with lime and added a thin layer of grated cheese under the breadcrumb mix. To go with the leftover ratatouille. Yum

Am starving. I forgot to eat at lunchtime the kids were driving me up the wall.

Fucking tax credits have fucking done it again. They are saying we owe them £2000 and our money is dropping to next to nothing. Last year they said we owed them £4000 and our money dropped considerably, but not this much. They reckon we are entitled to £670 for the year towards childcare. That would not even cover 2 weeks. We are way below the cut of limit as far as I can see, and we were assessed two weeks ago and the bloke said it was all fine. At this rate I cannot afford to go back to work and that is not right surely?

PetiteRaleuse · 09/08/2013 17:23

Cunts. No, doesn't seem right vq but they've been fucking about with all that stuff trying to make life as hard for normal people as possible so it wouldn't surprise me.

I'm sure someone who knows something will be along soon to contribute something more, erm, knowledgeable.

Detective did you spot your DS on the news or in the local press last night or today?

It's quiet on here, has everyone switched to FB?

PetiteRaleuse · 09/08/2013 19:29

I'm here (echo)

Fwiw the fish recipe I linked to above went down a treat with the DDs even though I was v heavy on the lime. Easy peasy recipe.

Was just doing an online shop asking DH for his input but he was just grunting so obviously not listening. Said right, just out to suck off the neighbour. Grunt.

It's nice talking to a brick wall.

Passmethecrisps · 09/08/2013 19:36

Hello!

That's amazing pennie!! What a girl! P does lots of standing, pulling up, cruising and has stood unaided for a few seconds recently but no sign of having the balance to walk yet. That's amazing!

The tax credits business sounds total fucking shit VQ. What I don't understand is how agencies whose job it is to do this all the time can get it wrong so frequently? It's the same with payroll departments. When I first started teaching I had to wait 3 months to get paid anything only to be told repeatedly by payroll that is was 'complicated'. The school ended up paying my rent for a month. This happened in similar ways to various people over the years until my boss asked the head of payroll how many times mistakes were made with payroll's payroll.

Passmethecrisps · 09/08/2013 19:37

Put on some lip gloss, hitch up your tits and sachet on outside Pr

Oh and how is that actually spelled by the way? Is that right? Doesn't look it.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/08/2013 19:41

No that's not right but it's not a french word. It's sashay I think...
Sachet is a French word it means paper bag :) which is what I'd need if I were intending to do that. To put on the neighbour's head.

Passmethecrisps · 09/08/2013 19:41

Did you give that to LO PR? I used to make something very similar. DH likes big food like stews and I prefer wee food like this.

I am having an internal battle about cooking for p. she just doesn't reliably eat anything so there is a) so much wastage b) all my hard work goes to waste. I made her a bolognese recently - not impressed. She has had tomatoes and beef before but this is meh.

Do you think it'll be okay if all she ever eats are crispy things?

Passmethecrisps · 09/08/2013 19:43

Or a sachet of sauce. You could spread tommy K on him to make him more delicious. Or tartar sauce if you prefer

PetiteRaleuse · 09/08/2013 19:45

Yes she had some too. Loved it. P will get used to new things in her own time. As long as she is opening her mouth and eating something that is relatively healthy. This evening she had a shop bought baby purée with a few bits of ham I had knocking about in the fridge and a couple of forkfuls of the fish. I almost never give her pudding, more through laziness than anything else. She loves banana though.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/08/2013 19:45

Good plan.

Passmethecrisps · 09/08/2013 19:48

P did hate banana - shuddered whenever I gave it to her but she had half a banana for dinner. Tiny piece by tiny piece stuffed in by me.

She usually opens her mouth for the first spoonful then clamps shut and that is it. Then she makes a weird noise for ages.

Sometimes she will sook purée straight out of a pouch. That means it has to be pouch food she gets.

I am trying to get her to at least eat a small piece of fresh fruit a day.

Passmethecrisps · 09/08/2013 19:49

Just think of it like a deep fried mars bar. Or battered haggis

Evening quiche,

lily I'm so angry for you that this is so difficult. Surely it just needs one person to show a bit of common sense?

VQ I hate tax credits and find it all so complicated. I too will need to figure out if I would be better off working or not.

High fives for all the standing, walking babies! O is still not mobile. Although he did shuffle the whole length of the hallway backwards on his tummy yesterday in his attempts to crawl Grin Babbling is more his thing. And high pitched wailing singing.

He had a lovely day today. Went to the garden centre which he loves. He shared a croissant with me in the restaurant and then went to look at the fish. He was transfixed by them, especially the small black ones with goggly eyes. I am going to get us a fish bowl and a few fish when he is a bit older. Plus some flowers we can grow on our window sill. He then spent the rest of the day playing with/in a box Grin
