sling bookcase

Pascha I'm honestly not that good at sewing - I have a book of toys to make and I just follow the instructions. I've already made him a snake which he loves.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 13/10/2013 07:10

Oh and Pascha watch the activity cube - DS was given an ELC one and he has trapped his fingers between the top row of flipping numbers and the top of the box. It's an older cube so don't know if this has been rectified in newer versions. Just so you know.

Pascha · 13/10/2013 07:18

Ouch! Will avoid the ELC one then. He loves the one at playgroup so hopefully we can find him a good one. Off to check out

Hi all!

Back from Spain. A holiday with a baby isn't really a holiday, is it!

All your babies look beautiful :)

Will put LO up when time

x

BuntyCollocks · 13/10/2013 22:41

Buenos noches, meringue

I've added an up to date pic of teeny. She is sideways, and it's uploaded twice, though ...

lollipoppi · 14/10/2013 10:35

Welcome back meringue!

I love dark mornings, this morning DS1 got up at his usual 6am and I managed to convince him it was still night time and he went back to bed til 8 Smile

Hope you all had a good wkend xxx

Lostbobbles · 14/10/2013 13:25

Nice one Lolli Grin, wish I could stay in bed until 8am.

Welcome home Meringue, agree about the holiday with baby not being a holiday but I bet it beats this weather!

Had to take DD2 back to doc this morn as her wheeze is still awful. Waited nearly an hour Angry, then Dr was very inconclusive, has advised I give her the antibiotics and continue inhaler and to bring her back in a week.

Angielka · 14/10/2013 20:59

Oh FFS, DD1 had an allergic reaction and her face swelled today at lunchtime. After 6 weeks of nursery it turns out that they ignored our instruction that she is allergic to dairy and have been giving her all sorts of yoghurts and creamy sauces and goodness knows what... poor little mite. I've got a meeting with the head tomorrow (the nursery's linked to a primary school) to find out how the hell this could happen. Fuming doesn't begin to cover how I'm feeling right now. Sorry, me me me...

Hormonalhell · 14/10/2013 21:02

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok.

Been looking at all your photos. Every baby is soooo gorgeous!!! Smile

I've put a couple on of charlie now my PC is finally working.

AppleCrumples · 14/10/2013 21:28

angie i would be fuming Angry whenever my dcs
are given any kind of food in school we get a letter informing us and asking if any allergies etc. Surely if the nursery is attached to the school they should do the same?!

lost hope your dd is feeling better.

lolli wish i could get Ivy to sleep til 8 - although we would be late for school again!

Ivy has started following me around the house!! Unless she is pulling the crappy wallpaper off the living room wall while i make dinner Confused

lollipoppi · 15/10/2013 08:39

Angielka I'm fuming on your behalf! How can they be so irresponsible, hope your meeting goes well and you kick some ass!! Angry

DS and DD must have allowed me the lie in yesterday, only on the grounds they were going to mentally torture me all day with crying, tantruming, screaming all.day.long

I got them all ready to leave the house to go shopping, and my car wouldn't start! Good day all round really Wink

AppleCrumples · 15/10/2013 10:31

Oh god! Got up to road blocked off by police! Tgere is someone taking pics at one end and a team of police currently walking up and down tge blocked off bit clearing looking for something! Shock

I have no idea whats happened despite having been up most of the night with a dodgy tummy, thoufg i do remember hearing bangs out back just before my stomach went mad. Scarey stuff!

lollipoppi · 15/10/2013 10:47

Shock Apple!! Hope the bangs you heard weren't shots!

AppleCrumples · 15/10/2013 10:59

Me too lolli Apparently there was a domestic up that end (according to next door) recentlty so speculating its related to them. Have spoken to more of myneighbours than ever today!

Well they have opened the road again just now and taken their circus away. Now googling local news nosey This is a nce area, am going to be scared now when dp goes back to work :(

AppleCrumples · 15/10/2013 12:14

Reporter on doorstep, it was gunshots! Although apart from causing chaos this am it seems no one has been hurt thank god!

So tired and still feeling crap. Dp off tonight so going to have early night and hopefully feel better, although it will be a while before we cqn all relax again!

lollipoppi · 15/10/2013 16:02

Shock Apple! Glad nobody was hurt!

Just had a "holy mother of shit" moment, was putting shopping away and came back in the living room to find the stair gate open..... And Darcie at the TOP of the stairs!!!!!! I still feel physically sick at the thought of what could have happened Hmm

Meringue33 · 15/10/2013 18:43

Omg!!

Does anyone else feel their babies are growing up so quickly?

He's in the big boy car seat now, big boy buggy. 12-18 mo trousers. And has started having food fads and tantrums Hmm

Hormonalhell · 15/10/2013 19:22

ShockLolli bet that scared you yes! Am sure we've all had those moments. I am so jealous that Darcie can climb stairs, or perhaps I should be glad he can't Grin

Hormonalhell · 15/10/2013 19:25

Meringue yes Charlie throws himself back n tantrums every day. Usually when I take something off him that he shouldn't have Hmm

Birdies · 15/10/2013 19:41

Hope you feel better soon apple and feel better soon, sounds scary.

lolli how awful but what a relief. Did she get it open herself?!

Your latest baby photos are so sweet.

Quick question - I've noticed X can be awake for 3 hours before being really tired. But if she has only a short second nap, it can throw her bedtime out as then she's tired and wants a nap an hour before bedtime. What do you do when that happens?

AppleCrumples · 15/10/2013 20:53

lolli its scary how quicklt they can do these things. And i bet Darcie was pleased with herself too!

birdies i would think about pushing her big nap later if poss so she just has one and maybe a slightly earlier bedtime for a bit? Or earlier big nap so she can have an earlier short nap? If it helps m older 3 all eventually just had one big afternoon nap.

We are adding a stairgate to the kitchen as Ivy keeps getting in there and i spend lots of time having to remove her as its too small and crap to be safe.

Off to bed now so tired..finally went to sleep at 3.30 and Ivy got up at 4!

lollipoppi · 15/10/2013 21:22

Yes apples, she was very pleased with herself! Little monkey!!
No birdies, Ds1 had opened it to go upstairs. It's a bit of a funny set up really, it's not the most reliable gate, we have one on order as the staircase is custom made (bungalow conversion) so a normal gate doesn't fit.

Meringue yes very scary how much they are growing up! It's going way too fast, we will soon be on the terrible twos thread title!!

Any advise on how to handle ds1 being boisterous with DD, no hitting, just knocking her over, noticed its getting worse recently

Apple enjoy your early night sounds like you need it x

glorious · 15/10/2013 21:24

Goodness lots of dramas.

angielka you must be furious, I hope they are thoroughly ashamed of themselves Sad

lolli how scary (but also impressive!)

apples that sounds horrible.

Nasty few days here. Been very busy preparing for Ellen's christening and party which ended up bigger than intended. She then was very upset the whole time which turns out to be because her cold is really horrible. She's normally so cheerful and currently whiney and breaks down into awful crying over nothing. Poor lamb. Today I spent the afternoon at work while my sister looked after her. She slept most of the time thank goodness but I was so stressed and sad about leaving her.
