Here we go again

Ive given him finger food from when I trust that he chewed.... I still watch him like a hawk though, I should probably just let him get on with it.

My current problem is him waking and screaming because he's rolled around and got stuck in a corner

birdies I did it first thing every morning, after Nancy's first feed. She either went back to bed or laughed at encouraged me.

lora I'm still seething about that lie too.

I wonder where bealos got to, she was quite regular on the antenatal thread.

We now have fake coughing here, because she's clearly not getting enough attention

Thanks lora, he's not really chewing yet, so will leave a few days and think again about it.

lora the 5:2 is basically you eat what you like for five days and then have a limited number of calories on two fasting days. It seems to be pretty effective. Google it, there's quite a lot on it out there.

Creepy we've had fake coughin from about three months :-D we now have 'cough conversations' together which he thoroughly enjoys.

I've had a look at the 5:2 thing and can say I'll start it with a fast day tomorrow. Looks like its doable so I'll give it a go!

We had fake coughs from about 3 months as well, latest favourite sound is sucking breath in and making a sound to accompany that...sounds like he is struggling to breath, but isn't, he just likes the sound! Hate it immensely esp when he makes it waking me up at 5 in the morning lol

Annoyed cos dp went bed with a hangover at 8 leaving me to do the night shi f t again. Hes done one in the whole seven months. Im trying to get a bath because im having the coil put in tomorrow and clearly want to make a good impression, that im tidy and respectable...

Lora off this afternoon to have the coil fitted too. Tell DP to sort it out - you deserve a night off once in a while.

Next baby is being combination fed. This a fucking joke.

Horrible rainy day here today so having a nice chilled day, DD and DS both have colds ..... Again!

Had my first fright holy fucking shit moment last night when bathing DD, she swallowed some water and started choking on it, threw up everywhere, including in the bath that DS1 was still in, que ds1 screaming ect ect ect, you can imagine how the rest goes

The sleeping through lasted one night. Knackered. Why does a baby sleep 10 hours in a row one day and then not a lot the next?! Zzzzzz

Oh well at least I'm not alone happy!

lolli that sounds scary

He's not getting any better with the formula. Not interested in bottles at all. Took a little from his sippy cup last night but not much. Have tried using expressed milk too but he's not having that either. Going to get a different coloured sippy cup for milk as I don't want him to stop drinking water which he's really good at. Tried flavouring the milk with vanilla, then raspberry, then vanilla and cinnamon...

And he bit me this morning and just giggled when I gave him into trouble...

On the weight loss, I'm 15lbs down on my pre-pregnancy weight. I can't really see where it's come off though. I'd like to lose the same again if I can. Had a 6 week 'break' from weight watchers somehow managed to keep my weight stable and I've been back on it the last 2 weeks and lost 4lbs.

Had a lovely day yesterday at and agricultural/country show. Hubby got to teach Bailey all about diggers etc so he's happy. Got him a little yellow safety vest for when he's older that says "Daddy's little helper" on the back - it's very cute!

Happy does he have a dummy at all?

Telling dp the coil doesnt work until he's done a night shift. Sod.

Sounds like a mixed bag on the sleep front! This LO is still teething like mad, I feel so sorry for him. Up several times in the night. He is gurning and grimacing like an early nineties raver :(

He has two teeth and it looks like several more are arriving at once.

Weaning going v well, he is hungry! Now above the 75th centile when he started on the 9th. It's amazing how quickly they learn to hold stuff too, he can now self feed mangoes, melon, banana, toast fingers and has just about got the sippy cup figured out!

I really hate the clear ups though. Plus he screams whenever I try and clean him up even with a warm cloth.

Biting: hasn't happened again yet! It better not either!

Weight: luckily our scales are broken!! Shred not out of its wrapper :)

No dummy Lora. I tried him with it a couple of times but it got spat out pretty quickly and I couldn't really be bothered trying to force it.

Wow that's great re the sippy cup merignue. I've held it for her so far - how did you help him learn to use it?

No teeth here. DD1 was very early with hers and had a mouthful by now. Not that I'm complaining, I don't fancy having bitten nips!

Is everyone on a routine of daytime naps and feeds? It's still a bit random for me although I do get an hour a day when both DDs are asleep over lunch (thank goodness).

Actually one other question for all the mummy's with 2 babies at home all day - I posted on the parenting forum but didn't get many replies. How much time do you spend playing with them? Trying to get rid of the guilt of maybe not doing enough :)

And how much TV do they watch?

Birdies, I wish I had more time to play with them both really.
When DD naps, which only lasts for about 40mins, I run round trying to have a quick tidy, then spend whatever time I have left playing with DS1.
When DD awake I try and involve them in the same thing (which is usually keeping DD occupied)

I've not quite mastered getting them to sleep at the same time

I feel incredibly guilty on a daily basis about how little I get to play with DS1 now compared to before DD
I took him to the cinema yesterday as a special mummy an cole day which was lovely

Oh and I'm ashamed to say the TV is "mostly" always on in the background

Hi I am also one that's dropped of the radar mainly because I never seemed to be able to keep up with threads (difficult on my phone) but I do read regularly to see how all the babies and mums are getting on.

Sorry not wanting to brag honestly and the reason I don't post much is because Charlie is a very good sleeper and has been for months (he's almost 7 months now). It's probably a good job as I'm one parent and so nobody to share night duties with. He weighs 18lb 5oz and loves his grub

The only problem I have is he gets bored very quick now n struggle to think of things to do. He's not sitting unsupported but loves his baby walker.
