Also - she doesn't seem to get the urge to poo. I'm having to have her walking about without a nappy for a good hour, and if that doesn't work, shove a suppository up her arse, which the minute it's in, causes her to poo. The actual insertion does it - the suppository doesn't get the chance to sit and work.

Did tell the paed this, but they're not interested.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 11/10/2013 19:03

DS is refusing to go to sleep again - looks like we're in for a rough evening. Typical - DH is home and it would have been nice to spend some time with him! What do others do when their little ones keep pulling themselves up in their cots?

AppleCrumples · 11/10/2013 19:19

cupcakes depending on the situation i either hide under the covers til Ivy lies down again or if she is upset i give up and feed her (whar i should do is settle her back down and skip the feed)

lollipoppi · 11/10/2013 21:22

Evening all!
Sorry lost you there for a bit it's been a hellish week with Darcie recovering, she is so much better and back to he cheeky self again Smile

Her latest game is to look at me, laugh, then crawl off laughing as fast as she can as if to say chase me chase me, her arms and legs get all muddled up and ends up face planting the floor and pissing herself laughing GrinGrin

Bunty, the hospital managed to get a urine sample from DD by sticking (literally) a bag over her tuppence which catches the wee, have you tried the chemist they may have something similar you can buy?

Birdies I hope you get some results for your DD soon and hope its good news.

Angiel how's the cat?

Love love love looking at all these beautiful babies they are growing up so fast!!!

Pascha · 11/10/2013 21:40

Daniel does the same Lolli! He sneaks across the floor while he thinks I'm not looking then I spot him and he squeals, grins and commandoes as fast as he can towards the wires or the cats bowl or the shoes or whatever he's not supposed to touch.

Newbie make your profile public, then we can see your picture Smile. Dan doesn't stand up yet either, he's just thinking about attempting to pull up this week.

lolli thats so cute, glad Darcie is feeling better. Its so lovely when their little personalities arw coming out :) Ivy does a mad dash for any shoes she can see. After school all we do is remove shoes from her while she makes a 'who,me?!' face! if only i could get dcs to remember to put shoes away

bunty hope dd is ok.

Hope all the poorly babies are feeling better and everyone is sleeping Grin

newbie6 · 11/10/2013 23:25

Hiya

Thought I had made it public, will check!

X

newbie6 · 11/10/2013 23:28

.....think I've sorted it now, thanks!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 12/10/2013 07:51

Think I've managed to sort my profile out now.

Well, finally got DS to sleep just after 8pm. He was then up at 9.30, 11.30, 12.45 (staying awake until 3.30) and 5.30, before waking up at 7 for the day. I am shattered! Think I'm going to have to put in a call to the HV again.

DH is taking DS out for a couple of hours this morning. Bliss! I'm going to get my sewing machine out for the first time in ages. What do others have planned for the day?

Tugstonia · 12/10/2013 08:15

Ah more cute bubbas! I've just uploaded a pic of my little madam :)

Cupcakes I hope you manage to get a rest today, sounds like a rough night. My dd was up at 4.45am this morning and eventually went back to sleep at 6 but I couldn't sleep. It's going to be a looooooong day.

We're going to some friends' for dinner tonight - my mum's babysitting. And shopping for a new car seat tomorrow as dd is too big for her baby one. Any recommendations for Group 1 car seats?

salt1 · 12/10/2013 08:28

No heating and hot water here so i will be boiling a lot of kettles today. Hope everyone has a good weekend and some sleep x

Pascha · 12/10/2013 08:32

Awww! More gorgeous babies! They are all so cute!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 12/10/2013 09:22

Tugs we got the Britax Eclipse. You can recline it so nice and comfy for long car journeys. Would recommend Mothercare for trying them out though - we took DS and sat him in loads to try them. He liked the Eclipse best. Smile

Pascha · 12/10/2013 09:32

Oh how rubbish Salt and at the weekend too. Hope you get it fixed/replaced soon.

Carseats - we have the Kiddy Guardian Pro for DS1 and will get another for Dan when he outgrows his baby seat. I don't see that happening for some considerable time though, thankfully. He's only wee really.

Angielka · 12/10/2013 09:39

Awww, all the babies are wonderful! They are such little people now instead of babies. Makes me feel a bit teary.

Haven't seen the kitten (who still has no name, not sure why...) this morning and have a feeling it's been nabbed by another family. It was getting very friendly, coming for food when I called and having a poke around the room that the garden is off, even while I was sitting there chatting to it. Someone else could have done the same and shut the door on it. As long as it is cared for and neutered I'm happy. DD1 is a bit scared of animals and didn't want us to have it in the house, and I have an allergy I was ignoring... We have some things to do in the garden today so I'll keep my eyes peeled. If I don't see it I will keep thinking of the other kind family because we are quite near a busy road and the alternative is not so pleasant...

We have a maxi cosi next size up car seat and a kiddy one (brilliant but still a bit big) with a thing over the lap. Both from DD1 (my parents had one in their car but we seem to have both of them now for some reason...)

Hope everyone has lovely things planned for the weekend!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 12/10/2013 14:06

Gah! Stupidly let DH take DS out this morning. Sent him with milk, lunch, and strict instructions to be back by 1 so I can bf DS. Still no sign of them so I've just called him- apparently DS has not had any milk because 'he didn't look hungry' and only 45 minutes nap all day. Have told DH to bring him back proto. Why doesn't he understand that if daytime feeds and sleep gets messed up we have even more trouble at night than usual? Am so angry.

Somebody please tell me I won't have an over-tired, hungry, grizzly babyt this afternoon? God knows what he'll be like tonight. Angry

BuntyCollocks · 12/10/2013 14:44

Oh dear, cupcakes. Id be the same as Cameron would be a wreck if that was her.

:(

She seems happier today, thanks to everyone asking. Not much napping, though, and a fairly shit night. Sigh.

Birdies · 12/10/2013 18:28

Thanks lolli

angiel I know what you mean. And I'm feeling very broody after seeing all the photos of our gorgeous babies! Love the new ones - such sweet little smiles.

bunty glad she's feeling better, hope you get more sleep soon!

We had our first 7pm to 7am sleep last night. Well sort of, still had a feed in the night but the 12 hours is great. Bet it won't last!

What's everyone getting baby for Xmas? As my two are so close in age I'm struggling to think of anything new.

How was the afternoon cupcakes?!

Birdies · 12/10/2013 18:30

Actually, it's Xmas AND birthdays isnt it?! Can't think of anything original for either. Ideas please :) pascha you will have some, you like a good shopping spree Grin

LetThereBeCupcakes · 12/10/2013 20:00

Birdies he fed ALL AFTERNOON. Even helped himself to a feed whilst we were in the bath. Had a 30 minute nap mid-afternoon and went to bed about an hour ago. Went off fairly easily so we'll see how the night goes.

Xmas pressies bought / planned so far:

Toot Toot Drivers set plus some extra cars
Wooden puzzles
stacking ring things
Hammer pegs
Books

I'm also making him a cuddly elephant and DH is making him a sling bookcase. If friends or relatives ask for ideas we're saying tumble tots / turtle tots vouchers (for gym / swimming lessons) or more of the toot toot stuff. DS is our first (and probably only if he doesn't start sleeping!) so not got to worry about duplicating stuff.

Planning to wait until Christmas is over with to get birthday stuff and see what he particularly likes at Christmas. Will probably get stuff he can grow into though - Brio or maybe Happyland. Also planning to get a nice melamine dinner set for him.

Pascha · 12/10/2013 20:05
Grin

Dan's getting an Aquadoodle for his birthday. Also the obligatory balloon in a box. Mum's getting him an activity cube. Maybe some Happyland - he likes playing with all the farm animals already. Lots of books already stashed away whenever I see a bargain.

Wheelybugs, Smart-Trikes etc always good for a first baby.

Pascha · 12/10/2013 20:08

Oh yeah! Family year pass to the local childrens farm or whatever is a total winner too.

Wish I could make cuddly elephants. Whats a sling bookcase?
