Its in the Housekeeping' area i think, sorry i cant link from my phone. I'm interested in the unfuck your habitat' one. Flylady is a bit, umm, unfeminist.

have finally managed to do the washing up by putting dd in the ergo on my back!

lollipoppi · 26/09/2013 20:16

Yay baby tugs! Hope for the same tonight for you! Bet you feel like a new woman Smile

Bugsy I have those days too, I fact some days i don't bother with tidying up until they are having their tea, otherwise I think if go dizzy running round like a loon tidying after them all day!

Pascha Shock on the kettle! Thank god you had a spare

DD's hair is getting out of control, it just keeps growing UP, it stands about 3 inches off her head now, it looks like she has been plugged in, the best is when I've just washed it, bless her, think I'm just going to have to embrace the fluffy hair Grin

BuntyCollocks · 26/09/2013 21:24

Oh my god. My friend who was 33 weeks has lost her baby boy. Felt no movements for >24 hours and he's gone. She's being induced. I am in bits.

Hi bunty,

How dreadfully sad for your friends. I hope with their family and friends support they can take the strength they will need. Life is so cruel sometimes.

X

glorious · 30/09/2013 12:17

That's so sad Sad I know someone who lost twins at a similar stage, it's unimaginable.

octanegirl · 30/09/2013 19:10

Can I lift the mood a bit and describe the totally disproportionate excitement that F exhibits when I put him in his high chair?
We've gone from a take it or leave it attitude to food to shrieks of joy when he's plonked in the chair and bib on. He then bounces madly which makes accurate spoon insertion something of a challenge. If the food runs out before he is full he instantly howls, which stops suddenly when another helping is produced.
As for portion sizes he's eating double or sometimes triple what in theory he should be eating, but isn't fat at all (just normal baby chub). His father is a 6ft 3 beanpole who can eat whatever he likes without gaining a gram (grrr) so I think he's taking after Daddy!

Birdies · 30/09/2013 20:02

Lol octane! And well done for breaking the ice. Everything is so trivial compared to something as horribly tragic as that, but nice to see a happy post again.

To continue the theme - though I find it a bit weird - X still growls when she's eating. I mean really growls. If she wasn't babbling I would be a bit worried :)

I have changed X's routine which now means due to the combination of both DD's naptimes, I have about an hour when I can leave the house. So I am housebound!

Ooh, and she is sitting herself up now and shuffling about which she wasn't until a few days ago.

How is everyone else doing?

newbie6 · 30/09/2013 20:25

Hi everyone,

I'm not doing well at all! LO is still a wee joy but sleeping at night is horrendous! From being really good, for the past 4 weeks he is waking again and this last week he has woken every few hours! He does settle back after some milk or a cuddle but I've no idea why he has suddenly turned into a poor sleeper. He eats well, no teeth yet but def on their way as he is drooling and everything goes into his mouth! We have a bed routine so nothing changed there either? Should I put teething gel on him??

Am at a loss so hoping a more experienced mummy can help or maybe this is all entirely normal?

Thanks

X

AppleCrumples · 30/09/2013 21:09

Arrrgggh just lost a post!

newbie it may just be a blip. Sometimes all of mine just seemed to stop sleeping properly but eventually got back to normal, so you may just need to ride it out Flowers

Ivy is finally crawling forwards!! Straight over to the sofato pull herself up!! Eeeek! Hv on friday for 9 month check. All fine although she weighs in at 21lb 13!!! Shock

Hormonalhell · 30/09/2013 21:25

Mine too newbie, fab sleeper from 5 weeks n just lately wakes up about 8 times a night, settles quick but still broken sleep and I'm on my own too Hmm

I think he is teething tho as red cheeks and his fingers in his mouth, loads of drool and very grizzly wanting me to hold him all day Confused

Hormonalhell · 30/09/2013 21:29

Birdies Charlie hums all the way through eating his food, I just assume he's saying 'keep it coming' he too howls sometimes. Do u give a full jar each meal? He's on the stage 2 bigger jars n I give half din half pud n same at teatime

Pascha · 30/09/2013 21:43

Dan bounces very excitedly when he sees the food arrive at the table. No sound though, he's too busy getting stuck in. He shovels very fast Hmm.

Apple we have had tentative movements while on hands and knees today. Not quite a whole forward movement yet but it won't be very long I don't think. On Sunday he pulled himself up using the open dishwasher door so everything seems to be coming together fast on the moving front.

DS1 has a disgusting viral throat thing. He's been off preschool today and very teary and upset. I hate seeing my little boys ill, it tears me up. We spent most of the day in pyjamas and I'm half expecting him to rouse soon when the calpol wears off. D hasn't got it but its only a matter of time.
