Me too birdies!

Hi hormonal. Glad its going well.

Ivy finally slept well last night after a day at Drayton manor. So clearly the way to a good nights sleep is to be out all day!

Hi all, have been busy last couple of days as we are decorating ds bedroom finally as hubby is determined to move him into it by the end of the summer...I would quite happily keep him next to me lol.

He spent the day at me dsis house today while we hit the decorating, they had a blast.

I'm a working mum but hubby is a sahd.

Thanks for the new thread Pascha.

We've been away camping for the weekend. The weather has been great and dd mostly behaved herself. She wouldn't sleep in the travel cot though so she shared the airbed with me and dp had to sleep on the floor.

She pooed out a whole piece of sweet corn today

Birdies think he just figured it out thru trial and error. Not totally au fait yet but he was briefly holding it with both hands and sooking out the juice! Taken four weeks to get there.

Aww bugsy we had a sweetcorn day today aswell. Gave it him saturday anticipating its arrival yesterday so made dp do his nappy all day just so I could see the disgust on his face

Birdies, I feel guilty too about how little time and patience I now have for DS. I've found he loves those Orchard games, like 'Shopping List' so I play those with him with DD on my lap - he loves it and only takes about 10 minutes Wink. Other than that it's his train set or happyland and as he's outgrown naps I put a film on for an hour. DH often works long hours so some days have been hard going; I find the days go better if I go out, even if I don't feel like it! Thankfully DD is very content and doesn't complain too often. DS was the opposite!

I'm expecting to go back to 'work' (like this is a picnic!) in January - I work 3 days a week, which I find a reasonable balance.

We have 3 bottom teeth here since 4 months! She was very clingy for a couple of days, but all gone quiet since. She's growing up too fast, life goes by too quickly Hmm

Ds really wasn't keen on the sippy cup so haven't given it to him for a few days, I must try him again when it's not so hot so it doesn't matter if he doesn't drink a lot of water

I love seeing whats in the poo! i like weetabix poo as it looks exactly like weetabix Grin

Does anyone else's baby prefer sweet things to savoury?

So, the other SAHMs, do you have a set routine each day?

Ps cejay I agree if I don't go out I start to go a bit loopy

Lora1982 · 05/08/2013 22:16

For a while he definitely preferred sweet things. He'd cry at peas and brocolli :( he's coming around now though. I think its because formula and boob milk are sweet arent they, also apparently babies have more taste buds than us.

It may have taken the best part of an hour but I've just gotten Bailey to drink nearly 50ml of formula! Woohoo!!! Long may this continue. now he'll get some boob as a reward coz one of them is about to burst!

Today is a good day.

lolli ivy has been ofd today too. Woke up for feedat 5 then cried in cot instead of going back to sleep while madly stuffing her snuggly into her mouth! More teeth. At least if she keeps this up she will have a full set by her birthday

Well done for your perseverance happy.. spose you had to though :-D

I dont get the full boob feeling and they are definitely floppy now... after much reading though im not worried apparently it happens but its still working. Got two shocked faces when I said how old he was today their babies were months older and much smaller so he's clearly not starving so I sharnt worry.

We went to a farm today and he had a good stare at the sheep and quail bird things but was not overly impressed with his first go on swings.

Anyone tried bubbles with them yet? I love the reaction we get from him.

He's fucked up his good day by not sleeping and we're only at 12.35am... Been awake with him since 11.15pm. I'd only been asleep 30 mins. Sad

I'm totally at the end of my tether Sad Her sleep is just getting worse and worse. Bedtime routine starts at 545 but she won't sleep until 730/8. She's up every hour at least until whenever I bring her into bed. Then she snacks all night and I get backache. Up wanting to play by 530 every morning. Won't nap without a huge fight and generally only in the sling with me walking. This morning she hasn't slept yet and I'm just too tired to carry her. She's teething and I've almost drowned her trying to get calpol in.

We've tried routine, we've tried going with her cues, she generally isn't hungry most of the night so I only feed her when too exhausted to do the whole shush/pat/cuddle thing. We have blackout blinds, white noise doesn't help.

Please somebody say she will just start sleeping one day soon. A friend was complaining about 2 wakings between 7 and 7 yesterday and I just wanted to cry.

Have you tried scrapping the bedtime routine at 6 and just let her tire herself out til later? Dexter doesnt have a set bed time I get him ready about half 7 has a yoghurt or fruit thing and boob then I wait for the tired whinging etc which start no later that half 9.
