Anyone else have a milk refuser? He spends the normal time on bboobat night and morning but his battle about 4ish he's this passed few days drank nnomore than 4oz.

Hhe was also a soddintons last night aswell but I think its a cold with his runny nose

BuntyCollocks · 21/09/2013 22:10

Have an amazing time, glorious!

I have a bottle refuser, now. Still wants mummy milk, but not out of a bottle. lora maybe he is just ready to drop that milk feed?

Pascha · 22/09/2013 10:06

D never did get the hang of bottles really. We progressed to a sippy cup for when DH/MIL gives milk a couple of months ago and ditched the teats completely. Can't say he loves them either. He uses a doidy with help at mealtimes and is much happier with that. He still has 5ish feeds a day from me but is wavering on the early afternoon one a bit. I would drop the 4pm one, Lora, and just offer a snack/early dinner instead. You could well find he ups his bedtime feed a bit to compensate. Its all good.

well that ^^^^ was gibberish, sorry. Thats what comes of bouncing a baby on one knee, trying to drink coffee and fending off a boy on a scooter who's going doolally because we're not ready to go out yet Hmm.

I'm getting all annoyed with Dan's clothes. He doesn't fit nicely into one size anymore and all my nice boxes of stuff grouped in size order doesn't work now HmmHmmHmm. His legs are too long for 6-9m trousers but the 9-12m stuff is all too wide on the waist. Vests are all ok at 9-12m if a tad baggy and long-armed. I just put him in 1-2yr gap tights this morning to bat around the house in and they barely stretch far enough up Shock

He's definitely heading for beanpole territory - just like his dad.

OP posts:
Pascha · 22/09/2013 10:14

There's definitely something to be said for girls clothes - vest, tights, tunic. Easy.

AppleCrumples · 22/09/2013 10:24

Haha pascha Ivys clothes are a bit like that too. Shes mostly 6-9 month stuff but actually still gets into some lovely h&m vests that are 4-6 months. Dresses last for ages but tops have to be 9-12 as she is pretty plump

arrghh she stinkd back later

Birdies · 22/09/2013 10:30

Hope you have a great time glorious!

bunty X won't drink milk from a bottle either, but the cheeky monkey will drink water from one.

pascha I have the same problem with clothes. And I was so organised with everything put into age categories. Now it's a shit tip upstairs with clothes of all ages scattered everywhere. She is in mainly 12-18 month clothes now but the arms are massively folded up.

BuntyCollocks · 22/09/2013 10:39

These babies are something else, birdies!

pascha we're the same. Teeny is also heading for beanpole. Unfortunately not finding girls clothes that easy either - leggings can be ok in length, but too wide at the waist!

AppleCrumples · 22/09/2013 10:51

Nothing is ever too wide at the waist for Ivy :) dd1 was (still.is) long, she is skinny too so clothes are hard (unless dreas amd legging combo)

We habve a new tooth and she keeps trying to climb everything Hmm Still only pulling up onto her knees but shes working onit! (shes also currently attached can you tell!)

Shes a pro with sippy cup now.

Japan Envy

Ds1 at cub camp and missinf him :( Wied

Konnichiwa! We made it and the hotel has wifi so I'm trying to feed E to sleep while mooching about online (it's 9pm here). The flight was ok and we all had a two hour nap this afternoon to make up for almost no sleep. Ellen is getting lots of attention, she's loving it!

Why do baby clothes never fit actual babies?! I thought it was the cloth nappies but obviously not...

Angielka · 22/09/2013 16:17

Glad you survived the flight glorious! Enjoy Japan Envy.

I'm also struggling with clothes at the moment. I thought having two girls meant it would all be oh so easy but somehow Molly is bigger than her sister, and born a few months later in the year so all the things that will fit in winter seem to be sumer things and vice versa... I think there will be lots of turning up sleeves to come.

lollipoppi · 23/09/2013 09:46

Hi all hope you had a good weekend!

Glorious enjoy Japan! Envy

DD is getting better now after her cold, it's been a loooooonnngggg weekend Sad

DD is finally fitting in her 6-9 months clothes now!
Can't wait to do a winter clothes shop for DD and DS, I love all the jumpers and coats, I could spend a fortune, if I had it !

Reported Grin

How random! Hope everyone is having a nice day. Has anyone got any quick an easy meals they can share? I'm running out of inspiration and baby meals are starting to get very samey - but I'm not a great cook and I only like doing things that are really speedy.

AppleCrumples · 23/09/2013 10:37

Errr?!!!

lolli i love all the winter stuff too. Have loads of dd1 clothes in 9-12 but neay all summer clothes so will have to go shoping yay

Glad your dd is better its horrid when their sick.

Ds1 enjoyed cub camp, really missed him. Even ds2 said he missed him Shock. It still only too approx 5 mins before a fight broke out ho hum

lollipoppi · 23/09/2013 10:48

Ohhh I missed it what happened!!??

Birdies I need dinner/tea ideas too, feel like I'm giving the same things all the time, baked potatoes with either tuna/beans, hotpot which she loves! Scrambled eggs. Doesn't help that ds1 won't eat anything that doesn't resemble a chicken nugget or fish finger so I have to cook separate meals Confused

Meringue33 · 23/09/2013 10:53

Missed it, what did they say?! :D

We had a holiday too, was great, so much better than last time & managed not to be sick. Stayed with different friends and LO loved hanging out with slightly older kids.

He is getting more confident with crawling now and if I leave the room will come and follow me for a cuddle, it's so sweet!

Anyone else's baby do great horrible poos about five times a day?! Yeuch!!!!

Lostbobbles · 23/09/2013 11:08

Hi All

What happened below?

Glorious, v Envy of Japan, hope you have an amazing time

Lolli good to hear DD on the mend.

Lois has also got a cold and is very chesty and has given it to me Hmm. Although it didn't stop me going out for lunch with the girls yesterday, so nice to have a few hours kid free. although DH is a swine and buggered off out to watch football so I had to do dinner, bath and bed routine on my own Angry

Re clothes my DD1 is a nightmare to dress, she's a little on the chubby side round the chest and arms so I have to be very careful on the cut poor thing looks at a carrot and puts on a stone and all the things she loves would look horrendous. I blame the mil, unfortunately she has her build

DD2 is a in 6-9 at mo, but the sizes vary so much from shop to shop.

Today is going to be lazy BiscuitBrew

AppleCrumples · 23/09/2013 11:15

lost that made me laugh! All mine have been like this until they get walking. Ivy has to be careful in dresses as she can resemble a cross dressing sumo wrestler!! :)

The deleted messages were just spam also popped up on PTA thread

Birdies · 23/09/2013 13:04

It was just along the lines of "you too could make money alot, all you must do is clicky de link". We might fall for spam like that if it wasn't written so badly!

apple that's sweet that your DS missed him too.

lolli hopefully someone will give us some ideas! I've gone really samey with ready brek in the morning and weetabix in the evening. The only meal I vary is lunchtime. I need to change that really.

meringue glad you had a good holiday. X does usually just one poo a day but it really sticks to her, I go through so many baby wipes in one go!

lost hope Lois feels better soon.

Angielka · 23/09/2013 13:18

DH left the stair gate open when he left with DD1 for nursery. Molly bumped down the first few steps before we realised... Blush

Good job my kids are sturdy. I seem to keep trying to get rid of them...

Pascha · 23/09/2013 13:26

Not that I'm any more inspired really but Dan had half a pancake for breakfast (not hungry), a peanut butter sandwich and two grapes for lunch and will be having chicken risotto for tea.

Tomorrow will be chicken pie, mash and veg. Wednesday is either chilli or fish pie, whichever I can be bothered to make. Thursday will probably end up being fishfingers and friday may be pasta of some sort. Carbonara?
