Tooth number one is through so a better night for us, he actually managed a 5 hour stretch. That's a personal best. Can see another tooth is on the way though so expect things will go downhill again soon.

First gymbabies class today and little man loved it, if grinned the whole time we were there. Sadly my gearbox died halo way home. At 50mph. Fun. Lovely rac man was there within 15 though.

DH is on his way home. He works away Monday to Friday so it's such a relief to get him back.

Pascha · 13/09/2013 12:03

V-day for DH today Grin He's really not very relaxed at all, very nervous. Roll on 4pm I say!

Off to take DS1 to his swimming class next, MIL is having Daniel for a couple of hours, hopefully he will sleep for her.

I fell off the back doorstep this morning and twisted my ankle Hmm and I have a big graze on my hand. And its raining. And a bit cold.

glorious · 13/09/2013 14:45

Thanks tugs, Brew for you and meringue too.

pascha it's hard to feel too sorry for your DH when we've all been through far worse but I can't blame him for being a bit nervous. Poor you with the ankle though Sad

LetThereBeCupcakes · 13/09/2013 18:17

So many typos in my last message! Sorry.

Car is terminal and we have no money to replace it. How the hell am I going to manage DS and 2 dogs with no car? Very little is within walking distance of us.

I think I might have mastitis, too.

Lora1982 · 13/09/2013 19:08

So im full of a cold. SSorethroat achey muscles praying its not mastitis again

Pissin hospital sent a letter postponing my tooth til 15th nov!!!! Im not even going to let them know im not going, I rang my normal dentist and they are doing it instead.

Cant be bothered to move my fingers :(

Meringue33 · 13/09/2013 19:25

God sounds like everyone is having a tough time of it. He actually crawled - properly - today so maybe that is the developmental leap we've been waiting for.

I live in hope :)

AppleCrumples · 13/09/2013 20:29

Dd1 has been screaming 'im not tired' for ages. She so is. So am i.

I think i may leave home :(

glorious · 13/09/2013 21:03

oh cupcakes that's horrible. Do you have any family who could help with money or lifts? Can you get to the GP if you have mastitis? Fingers crossed neither you nor lora do.

apples come to mine, I have Cake and only one child. She does have a cold though and is teething. So bring calpol.

AppleCrumples · 13/09/2013 21:25

Thanks glorious i have plenty of calpol and ibuprofen too. Can also bring Wine (and Brew as i am teetotal)

She finally stopped and is fast asleep. Am putting it down to first full week at school and lack of attention as dp has been out all day so had no help after school!

Hope everyone else ok

lollipoppi · 13/09/2013 21:28

Meringue , yay on crawling although I still wish DD2 was immobile

Wish the rest of us sleep

Lora1982 · 14/09/2013 03:24

Thanks all. It's sods law hea having rubbish sleep tonight when im not my best :) he cant be teething again though surely he only had new teeth the other day but he shut up when I put gel on his dummy so who knows.

Meringue- how exciting on the crawling, im both apprehensive and looking forward to that moment I bet you a proud grin on!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 14/09/2013 06:11

glorious my dad has just started an intense course of radio therapy and my mum lives an hour away and is currently on crutches. No other family so stuck for lifts. Going to approach dad for a loan but not hopeful as he's in the process of moving house and I suspect all his money is tied up. The really frustrating thing is that dH is owed just over £1000 for some work he did a few months ago and they keep stalling paying. If we had that money we could probably sort something out.

Another better night of sleep with only two wake-ups. Perhaps we have turned a corner. Feeling a bit better today and boob is less sore so hoping it was a false alarm. Either that or DS sorted me out with his dyson-like suck.*

On the subject of teething, have people tried the Tommy tippee teething dummies? Like a dummy but with a curved piece of rubber instead of a test, and you can smear teething gel on the. Bloody brilliant.

lora how are you today?

*other vacuum cleaners are available

LetThereBeCupcakes · 14/09/2013 09:06

Spoke too soon. Red wedge appeared and doc has confirmed mastitis. Sob. Thought after 8 months of breast feeding I had sidestepped that landmine. Apparently not.

lollipoppi · 14/09/2013 09:11

Hope everyone had better nights?

Cupcakes sorry to hear about your dad, and your poor mum on crutches!
Hope you manage to get a car sorted soon! In the meantime online shopping is your friend!

Arghhhh I'm dreading attitude! Long way off just yet I hope!

My washing machine has broke and flooded my kitchen Sad can not afford to replace a fecking washing machine!!

Lora1982 · 14/09/2013 10:38

Looks like we are all having a great time... cupcakes sympathies on the mastitis I recommend these gel things I'll find the link in a sec.

Lolli get on freecycle for a washer or local pick up ebay, never in my life bought a new one!

Im feeling better this morning, just a sore throat and sweaty betty but least I can move my muscles... no thanks to mr 'im waking up every 3hrs and ruining octanes perfect routine'

Lora1982 · 14/09/2013 10:43

m.boots.com/mt/www.boots.com/en/Oscar-Dehn-Breast-Nurse-1-x-2-Pack_703/ gel things. They are a brilliant alternative to the cabbages. You can iwarm them or make them cold whatever you need.

Lora1982 · 14/09/2013 10:44

m.boots.com/mt/www.boots.com/en/Oscar-Dehn-Breast-Nurse-1-x-2-Pack_703/ tut.

Lora1982 · 14/09/2013 10:46

Aaarrrrhgh just go boots website and find them under boob care. Its a green gel thing shaped like a chicken fillet that goes around the whole boob.

Pascha · 14/09/2013 12:15

Well.

Yesterday didn't go as planned. Hmm

Poor you cupcakes I hope you have some antibiotics to help, and deffo try those things Lora linked to. Sympathies on the car going bang, my nice audi did that 2 years ago and i'm still driving the crapola-refuse-to-die 13yr old focus that we got pdq.

Yay on the crawling Meringue

glorious · 14/09/2013 14:54

Oh cupcakes it sounds like you're having a tough time you poor thing Thanks Fingers crossed on the loan or even better your DP getting paid what he's owed.

lolli might you be able to fix it? We thought ours was broken but actually it needed something very simple doing and we fixed it after a quick Google. We are not DIY people.

pascha what happened?

Angielka · 14/09/2013 18:30

my sympathy to everyone - we're all having a crap time, aren't we?
