We're having cabbage, I luffs cabbage!

PetiteRaleuse · 04/08/2013 16:33

sophia LO is at that stage too. Vry whiney today and won't sleep. I am blaming any or all of the following: teeth, tired, needs a poo and can't move round and do all the things she sees her big sister doing and hit her back

PetiteRaleuse · 04/08/2013 16:34

Eww cabbage. When we eat out in Germany they always try and seerve me whatever it is with cabbage, raw in sulmer and cooked in winter. I hate it.

fruitpastilles · 04/08/2013 16:36

I wasn't very keen on it before until dp made it, I don't know what he does to it but its lovely.

PurplePidjin · 04/08/2013 16:42

Cabbage is healthy and acceptable. Roast parsnips are my most favouritest vegetable ever Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 04/08/2013 16:49

I have never been able to buy parsnips in France. When we moved out here I found them available in Luxembourg but very expensive. I dn't mind as I don't like them.

yw I PM'd you a spooky experience but I have loads more. Did you get caught up on the digital spy thread?

YellowWellies · 04/08/2013 17:03

PR I've just read it. I'm shit at spotting PMs on the app - sorry my love. Wah to that!!!! Scary biscuits. I luff a good woo story - add some more to the thread in chat - go onnnnnnnnnn. I'm slowly working my way through that 167 page (!!!!!) Digital Spy thread - I feel I'm going to waste a goodly chunk of this year reading that thread Shock.

An ok day of working (far too much time online Blush), but nice to have some time off from my lovely boys (and nice for them to have some time without me). The only downer today being when Jonas face planted again on the same wee plastic toy (a pirate ship table) he bashed his nose on last time. It left a wee dent in his noggin and was met with much weeping. Who said about those content babies who stay put and play - I think I have one but even he is starting to get pissy / wanderlust at the thought of moving now. Det was it you who said that not even the dining table is safe now - WTAF!!!!??? I can't imagine that - nothing is baby proofed here. Oh gawd I'm going to be in for a shock.

Passmethecrisps · 04/08/2013 17:15

Just watching p busily pick off the lovingly made fish pie which I have spread on a slice of toast. Toast with the essence of fish pie will be fine for tea

PetiteRaleuse · 04/08/2013 17:25

Yeah I gave up on the DS thread. I don't get easily spooked so like to wait til I am on my own late at night

I never add my spooky stories to these threads though as a) you always get the sceptics coming on and being rude; b) I need to keep them for myself in case I want to use them in my future bestsellers Hmm ; and c) I'd be easily identifiable, especially to any lurking family members or school friends.

Kirrin · 04/08/2013 17:32

Ooh, a few bad nights last night then :( Sleepy dust all round for tonight.

chasing that sounds really positive. Sure, there will be up and downs but you have seen that you will be ok, so you are well on your way.

bplp chicken and parsnip porridge! I can well imagine what F made of that Grin
I once gave DD1 chilli humours thinking it was red pepper! To be fair she gave it a good go but her face was a picture!
Spinach weetabix has to be the winner though!

We've just spent about 6 hours at a farm place for a birthday party. Had a great day, DD1 was angelic and N just sat and smiled at everyone :) all in all I'm feeling much better than I did yesterday. how fickle am I

N has some wicked nappy rash, looks really sore. I've been plastering her in sudocrem. There is a tiny bit of tooth poking through so hopefully it'll pop through properly in the next day or two.

Passmethecrisps · 04/08/2013 18:07

I have a bag of cubes of chilli pesto in the freezer. It is labelled "NOT FOR PENNY!"

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/08/2013 18:14

Qq. I have loads of veg oil, or ground nut oil or what ever that I don't want to ship to NI, how do I get rid of it:

A.) down the sink because it has not been heated
B.) just chuck the half full bottles out at the tip
C.) into the soil in the garden

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/08/2013 18:16

I am pleased with my work so far. I am going to have a break and feed O then finish off the kitchen while my no effort ready meal cooks. Sit down have that with Wine then tackle the under stairs cupboard. Hope to be sat down with a cup of tea in time to watch Southcliff on channel 4 at 9.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/08/2013 18:17

I have also treated myself to 25 beautiful homes. Oh yes.

PurplePidjin · 04/08/2013 18:30

Sophia D) local facebook selling page/gumtree/freecycle...

PetiteRaleuse · 04/08/2013 18:44

I hope you are not overdoing things - you did have surgery just over a week ago...

Passmethecrisps · 04/08/2013 18:51

DH is doing bedtime for the first time ever. I feel tense.

MissMummy1 · 04/08/2013 19:13

Sophia - put it on gumtree, some tree-hugging hippy will take it off your hands to stick in their motor.

I have a whinger today too. But her top tooth has just popped through. Matilda 3 teeths Grin

I love lamb. My mum (infamously a god awful cook) makes a mean pan fried lamb and couscous. I think it is about the only thing she can cook that I actually enjoy Blush

Fish pie on toast sounds fine Pass - if in doubt here M has toast.

Tonight I have wine, chocolate, a (hopefully) sleeping baby, a shit load of paperwork to sort and the possibility of a brighter future. I am looking forward to a veg and an early night.

PurplePidjin · 04/08/2013 19:15

R has had 3 40 minute naps. This is a good napping day for us.

He has had 5 big feeds, not multiple little snacky ones.

He has had lots and lots of water at meal times.

He's had 3 big meals.

He went down quick and easy in 20 minutes flat.

BUT

He's got 4, yes that's all four at the front, teeth making themselves known...

PetiteRaleuse · 04/08/2013 19:23

mm1

We're still waiting for the top two teeth, two and a half months after the bottom two came through. Her gums are swollen, but so are the bottom ones. I have a feeling a whole load are going to come through at once. DD1 was relatively easy for teething. I hope though that is what is explaining LO's moods and general whinging. Rather it be teeth than anything else.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/08/2013 19:35

I don't think so pr I am having lots of breaks and though I will pack and stuff tomorrow have a couple of laydeeez coming over for wine and chicken little thingies so will chill. Is suprisingly easy though when one is by ones self (and just with baby)

StuntNun · 04/08/2013 19:40

There's a tiny bloody spot on J's bottom gum so it looks like we'll have a tooth tomorrow. I'm ridiculously pleased given that he's probably going to bite me first! Wink

BigPigLittlePig · 04/08/2013 19:44

Sounds like the quichelets are doing some kind of synchronised teething thing. F has doubled her number in the past few days. Well. Nearly. Currently she has 3.5. Hopefully tomorrow morning there will be 4, and she can lose the drool/nappy rash/whingebag.

I am a big old scaredy cat, so you weirdos lot can keep your spooky woo stories to yourselves! I still can't sleep with the curtains open after reading an Enid Blyton book aged 8, where a face appeared at the window. I shit you not. Enid Blyton Hmm

PR too much clutter here also, none of it mine.

Pass I hope Operation Bed goes okay. DH gets v stressy at bedtime, in fear of what carnage F will unleash upon him.

Pidj I hope your lamb was deelish - fancy sharing some cabbage leaves for my poorly knockers Grin?!

Det fc O is okay with some soya then, that would make life a lot easier for you all.

I am feeling smug that I have a non-mover. She is going to unleash all kinds of hell on me when she finally learns to move, isn't she?! And you lot will all be laughing at me, from the safety of your baby-proofed homes!

Passmethecrisps · 04/08/2013 19:48

I took over. He came down looking a bit tense. We went up together to find an entirely awake p standing laughing at us.

It is very hot and she was a bit unsettled.

I wonder if we will get teeth tomorrow?

PurplePidjin · 04/08/2013 19:55

BP R is apparently trying to quadruple his Hmm
