Apparently O will be 6ft+ if he carries on at this rate Shock I am an average 5'5" and his dad is a typically short Chinese twat man. Heaven knows where he gets it from. I do have long limbs though and a short torso, O seems to have inherited the long limbs but added a long torso into the mix too. He is going to be a proper stunner.

ValiumQueen · 28/07/2013 21:23

J will get clothes and a Thomas rucksack for nursery. And a hungry caterpillar pull along trolley for holidays and sleepovers (I can dream). I bought the bags today from a link on the Christmas Bargain thread. For Christmas the three of them will be sharing an iPad as DH is getting mini so they can have his. I can then have mine back.

DH is now choosing his new Skoda. He wants whistles and bells. He will be disappointed.

ValiumQueen · 28/07/2013 21:25

If J continues to grow at this rate he will be 10ft and 40 stone Grin

Passmethecrisps · 28/07/2013 21:30

Haha! I have fairly long limbs but a micro torso. Maybe p will have lanky both! I am 5ft 2 and DH is 5ft 8. Mil is 5ft 1, mum 5ft 4. Everyone is teensy.

YellowWellies · 28/07/2013 21:31

Jonas seems to be channelling his short fat maternal Gran rather than my Mum who was 6ft and a size 8 whilst four months pregnant with twins.... Damnit Grin

Ad break on the Returned woo it's awesome!

TheDetective · 28/07/2013 21:33

Both my boys are on course to be 6ft 3 to 6ft 4.

Feck.

Link to trolley VQ please!

ValiumQueen · 28/07/2013 21:33

I will be watching that later so no spoilers! I think I know what is going to happen though......

TheDetective · 28/07/2013 21:34

DS1 needs a new computer for high school. He got one last christmas. For going to high school.

It was second hand, and broke after 2 months. You could say I was pissed off...

So going to get a laptop for him. Fecking expensive kids.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/07/2013 21:36

DD1's growth curve is pointing towards her being about six foot. SIL is 6ft so I suppose not a surprise. Tis the Tahitian side coming out I guess. LO is a shortarse like me I fear..

ChasingDaisy · 28/07/2013 21:40

I have a romantic image of O being a strapping 6ft+ man and being able to look after his old mum. I shall do my bit of course and make sure I am a mum being worthy of being looked after Smile unlike my mum

ValiumQueen · 28/07/2013 21:42

www.character.com/clearance/final-pyjama-clearance.html?p=1 not sure if links work on this, but I am sure you will get the gist Grin

Passmethecrisps · 28/07/2013 21:43

chasing if you were my mum I would pop you in my pocket like mrs pepper pot.

Passmethecrisps · 28/07/2013 21:44

My mum used to say to me that I was "short and fat. Like yer granny"

From the way p flings herself around I am currently expecting her to be a gymnast!

Pikz · 28/07/2013 21:48

L is on course to reach his dadas 6ft7 height as his dad and step bro are all that height! I am a midgit 5ft3 so L will be taller than me soon..

TheDetective · 28/07/2013 21:51

Thanks VQ! Will have a nosy! I need a bag for O so I don't have to send my precious changing bag to go to MIL's!

TheDetective · 28/07/2013 21:52

Pikz I realised tonight as I shouted at DS1 for waking O up from his nap that DS1 is taller than me. He's 11. I'm 5ft 2.

:(

Pennie we got told the growth charts aren't meaningful for predicting future height until they're 2+. As much as I joke about Jonas being short and tubby - I have no idea about the future - there are 6 footers on both sides and also short arses.....

MissMummy1 · 28/07/2013 22:02

I am 5'9. DP is 6'3.

I dread to think what my neighbours think of us after this weekend Blush

Evilwater · 28/07/2013 22:05

I also have the cybex atom, it goes up to 13kg, and N is a long way off!
I must measure N and see how long he has gotten, I know for the past two months he has not grown in length. Sad I must mention it to the drs too.

I'd love to have the Infant Gavision.
Evil

TheDetective · 28/07/2013 22:10

I'll do O's length tomorrow. I try and do it on the months but have forgotten this month due to epic meltdowns driving me to distraction!.

Passmethecrisps · 28/07/2013 22:13

All is peaceful for now in crisp acres. They are chatting happily with friends in the garden. Weird. Neither DH or I are shouters and we don't argue really so it is a bit weird. Yesterday we were giving p her dinner in the garden and I felt odd being there. Not at all in a PFB 'she mustn't hear the shouting" way but that we were invading their privacy.

I really hope all is well. They are nice.

Am off to Edinburgh tomorrow with p on the train. Chooo choooo!

Dixiebell · 28/07/2013 22:19

Haven't posted for ages, sorry. But keep up on FB mainly. Anyway, wanted to say for ds1's first bday we bought a Thomas the Tank Engine ride-on thingy. 15 quid ish I think, but best thing we've ever bought - he still loves and uses it two years later, unlike most of his other toys. No idea what we'll get Teddy, as we can't get another one of those!

YellowWellies · 28/07/2013 22:25

I'm 5'7 and DH is 6'1 - MM is your DP really 6'3 - he seems Ads' height? Hmm it's a bloke thing isn't it to add a few inches Grin Wink Blush My Mum was 6ft and my Dad is 5'6 - she blamed the 1970s as he wore platforms and she was a barefoot hippy when they got together.... DH's Mum is only 5 foot so Jonas could be any height!

The Returned finale was Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile think I might buy the Mogwai soundtrack.

Evil we have that car seat - it's ace - J will be in it until at least the New Year I'd guess so am going to hold on for the sales. As for Christmas I wondered about a smart trike but my sisters' two never used theirs and it'd be a bit of a white elephant if we get a bad winter. I'm erring towards a box and some tinfoil too. He has so many hand me downs and will be spoilt by the in laws. I've got him some awesome fox felt slippers which I fell in love with. Clothes and books will be what I'm hoping for. and DH is a smart enough cookie to know that I'd best get an end of BF spa trip Smile
