Well it seems appropriate you cheeky breeders.

Maybe its 4 yr olds. They are sent to test us.

Arti Ikea was actually v relaxing. A quiet hr driving to get there listening to the radio and again home. Then a wander around getting some bits and bobs for the house. And although I spent my last post complaining about DS2 he was a delight while we were out.

SummerLightning · 04/07/2013 22:41

Hello! Can't keep up but DH out for the night so thought I would pop on and say hello.

I get very fed up of my 4 year old too. He is the king of whinging. Whinge whinge whinge, nag nag nag. Also with the questions questions questions as well, which is sweet, but they are all the sort of questions that DH can give great answers to such as "how does an engine work", and I think he recognises my vague bluffing answers as just that :-) DD on the other hand is lovely and very cute. I am horrid to my two as well Beans when I'm tired and they push my buttons. They know they are doing it as well, little sods. Thing is, some of the time they're sooo adorable, but other times, just so so so so annoying!!

Oh on number 3, the whole idea filled me with dread, before DH got the snip I would worry all the time, and if I was slightly late there was not even a hint of excitement, just dread! I think that says it all. It's 2 for me, I am one of 2 of a happy family and DH is an only so the idea of having 3 is a bit alien to both of us. But then i have never been broody in the first place.

You know what I am not sure I have even said congratulations to Jam?! Or even Beans? I must have. But if not congratulations!

arti hope you got your tea!

lady woohoo on the mortgage, that is such good news. Maybe you should just chill out about the whole no 3 decision and enjoy the fact that the money pressure is off for a couple of months if you are feeling a bit flat.

very impressed with all the exercise girls, I have seen you on twitter. I still go running and do a lot of cycling but not really doing anything competitive at the moment (triathlons, etc).

Hmm, feel like I should give some news from me as not been on for ages! We went on holiday with Neilson to Turkey, very relaxing, in a run around doing lots of sports kind of way. hurrah for kids clubs. Bloody expensive though, won't be able to afford it in school holidays (hence doing it now). Went camping with the tinies for the first time last weekend, very fun, but we did luck out on the weather. Trying it again the weekend after next with my bro, which should be awesome regardless of the weather as hardly ever get to go away with my bro and family. DS's school has announced there is a week of no school (home visits only) and then 2 weeks of part time, which is highly annoying. We were hoping to take some long weekends over the summer holidays and take half term off with them but now that's all out of the window. Grrrr, so annoying. Has anyone else got this?

beans you said your DD1 is small, my DS too. He is such a midget, I am a bit worried about him going to school, he's quite immature and looks so small! He's only 1m tall.

Right gonna post this now and put question time on.

JamInMyWellies · 05/07/2013 16:13

Hello SL! I was weirdly thinking about you the other day.

Can I just say. Why does hot weather always happen when I am halfway through a leg wax cycle. So next wk when its scorchio I will need to wear a maxi dress so I don't scare the villagers with my unsightly soon to be waxed legs.

beans37 · 05/07/2013 22:08

I have a pant moustache to be proud of, but luckily I can't really see it any more, so I don't care! Ha!

Vagolajahooli · 05/07/2013 22:20

A pant moustache!

Now all your talk of dodgy sexxy dreams & crushes. I know he has a gawky noggin, but Mr Murray has a lurvely body & delish bott bott.

DH has gone to Belgium on a beer drinking weekend, so flying solo. Should go to bed as got to get up early for DS1's swimming club.

Hope all who are resting should be resting. Beans can you tell me exactly why DH thinks you should be constantly busy, whilst also grow his offspring. You realise right now you are always doing something. You are growing lungs, brains & for all you know a willy.

Jam isn't it sad that these days time in a car to chill & listen to music is quality time for us.

Hoi SL, sorry you're worried about DS' height, but I feel a bit bad I've no idea how tall DS2 is at the moment. I know he is a lot shorter than his school friends, but we did decided to move to a country with the tallest population in the world.

OP posts:
Mckayz · 06/07/2013 05:12

Vag, that's interesting. All the Dutch people I know are really short. Granted I only know about 8 and 5 are from the same family. Grin

JamInMyWellies · 06/07/2013 06:17

Last nights dream major improvement. David Beckham! Grin

beans37 · 06/07/2013 15:39

Vag, it's not DH who thinks I should be busy... It's me!

I'm afraid I'm not with you on the Murray thing. He's just tooooo pugnacious. Sorry. Plenty of other tennis players more appealing and more physically attractive... Nadal the delicious beaver, for example.

Ooh, good dream, Jam. I'm hoping for an interlude with David Tennant. Purely because when I was pregnant with DD1 I dreamt he could breathe through his ears, if you know what I mean (leer).

So, children had friends to stay last night. Cue sleep at nearly 10 and up at 6. Fun evening ahead! It was my lovely lovely friend from NCT. But I wouldn't be entirely surprised if her son was diagnosed with some sort of SN. He is exactly the same age as DD2, but can hardly speak at all, is very violent and seems developmentally streets behind any other child in DD2's Playgroup etc. I have o idea though; maybe he'll get there in his own time. Sure he will, but he hasn't come on at all in the past year or so, where most littles that age change so fast!

beans37 · 06/07/2013 17:06

PS HAPPY DAYS! Still boiling hot in the garden and endless paddling pool and aqua slide action. Girls so very tired. AND I went to the school fete and got nearly all DD1's new uniform second hand for £6.50!!!

beans37 · 06/07/2013 19:38

I have never seen my daughters so tired, but will they buggery go to sleep. Grrrr!

beans37 · 07/07/2013 03:42

Insomnia is a horrible thing. I am awake and worrying about where the new baby is going to sleep as no builders are available to do our planned extension until September, which is too late. Bugger bugger.

JamInMyWellies · 07/07/2013 07:42

Beans insomnia sucks. I do hope you have managed to get back to sleep. We are turfing out children from bedrooms and moving them around to fit in at ours. Still umming and ahing about extending or moving. You will manage it my love. Bubba can sleep in a dresser drawer.

beans37 · 07/07/2013 08:35

Thanks Jam. We do have a spare room, so it's really not the end of the world, but we have people to stay a lot. And I'm no good at having the baby in with me. And was fretting about the new one keeping DD1 up all night when she'll have just started school etc. always seems terrible I the dead of night! Did awake stint from 2.30-6am! YAAAWWWWNNNN!

TheInvisibleHand · 07/07/2013 11:22

beans, I put my two in together from early on (even though we have spare rooms). amazingly D's very rarely woke did even when he was wailing his head off. It will work out. sympathies on the building work though. we are just psyching ourselves up to do a loft extension..

glorious day. we were going to the fruit farm this morn to get strawberries but from the website sounds like they were pretty much cleaned out yesterday. wander down to the woods I think then throw the docs in the paddling pool while trying to watch tennis.

sybilfaulty · 07/07/2013 12:40

Hello everyone! I am back! I am employed (for now). I am also very hot and being nagged to build a paddling pool acquired on a tesco jaunt that looks rather too big for our handkerchief of a garden.

Hope P Pool will work its magic so I can catch up properly on Ipad whilst supervising and drinking wine. Hope everyone well and happy.

Love to you all.

Vagolajahooli · 07/07/2013 13:45

Nice to hear your are still a working women Sybs.

Sorry about lack of sleep and worries Beans. We put out two together when DS2 was 2 but really could have done earlier, but that doesn't help for super early on for you.

Also trying to sort afternoon entertainment here in time for tennis was hoping to wear them out at the beach but neither wanted to go. We went until late yesterday then watched the doubles finals & the women's final replay so really they're a bit knackered. Anyhoo I went back to my own childhood summer fun and constructed a quite fantastic slip'n'slide in the back garden. Not much of a slant here so used their slide & a lot of detergent with a tarp & sunlounge mattress. Worked wonders they are happily tired, cool and ready to watch the tennis. DH due back at 16.30. If Murray is looking crap later might go to the beach for tea.

Rubena · 07/07/2013 16:27

Great news Sybs!
I should be making up beds for the tribe arriving tomorrow, but I'm watching Wimbledon (exciting times) while sunning myself Grindh working all weekend again [sigh]

beans37 · 07/07/2013 17:07

Hurray queen Sybs! Well done you!

Am watching Murray while the girls watch Mike the Knight. We've spent the whole afternoon in the garden either on the slide and slip n slide or in the paddling pool. It's been marvellous. Am desperately trying to stay awake. DH back from his cycling trip later, but not til 7ish. 160km a day for 2 days. In this heat. I'm not jealous!!! Have had such a lovely weekend with the girls, bar bedtimes! Am actually less bothered by his 2 weeks away as a result.

Rubes, are you walking your dog in this weather? I'm not. It's too hot for me and she is jyst flopping down on the cold kutchen floor. Need to do early morning ones.

Rubena · 07/07/2013 17:24

Gawd I can't bare it!!! Edge of seat type stuff!
Yeah still "jogging" her every other day or so but even 8pm is too hot! Have had some pathetic attempts at exercise!!
Urgh!!! Here we go!!!

Rubena · 07/07/2013 17:26

Nice work Andy. Thanks

Mckayz · 07/07/2013 17:46

Murray was brilliant!!! Grin

Vagolajahooli · 07/07/2013 19:59

The gluts & nips did it!

DH got home in time for us all to watch him win. The boys loved it. Would love to take them next year. Might come over and try to get ground tickets so they can sit on the hill

OP posts:
Rubena · 07/07/2013 20:16

do it Vag! You can stay with us - I'd love to go to. Used to live half a mile away but still only a quick train ride now!
Murray does nothing for me what so ever. In fact I'm happy for him as he deserved it - finally! But I'm more excited that I finally got to see him smile (and attempt to crack a joke)

Vagolajahooli · 07/07/2013 20:27

Oh I'd put a bag over that head but since he started with Ivan & that fitness trainer he's got a lovely bod.

Maybe we could have a Dec 08 ladies day at the tennis!

OP posts:
Honsandrevels · 07/07/2013 20:33

Phew, the tennis was stressful! The girls watched it with us and dd2 was chanting 'Andy Murray'. Very cute!

Dd1 has been throwing up half the weekend, I think she's got the bug dd2 had. She is sick almost everytime she has a temperature.

Thanks for the tall shop recommendations arti, I'll go for a trying on session when I'm next in Manchester.
