Not in the slightest bit interested in Wimbledon sorry. Occasionally watch the finals.

ValiumQueen · 24/06/2013 18:01

Izzy I stopped bf as I felt I was hurting him. I am really grieving that at the moment and we still have problems so I do not know what to say, except that I understand your dilemma x

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 24/06/2013 18:13

chasing make sure you come off the old tenancy agreement too.

I don't really watch anything that would need censoring really. DD mainly wAtches Ben and Holly, just an episode or2 if I need to get DS to sleep and want her to be calm.

Vq DD does that with her babies too, although minus cagoul, but often with a backpack on. I always assumed she was putting them to bed as they do in nursery, but perhaps it is much more sinister!

ValiumQueen · 24/06/2013 18:25

Madam if she covered their bodies it would be one thing, but she covers their heads Grin

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 24/06/2013 18:26

So does DD!

ChasingDaisy · 24/06/2013 18:45

I luffs Wimbledon PR but not managed to catch any today. Did Nadal lose in the end?

#1 on my fucking huge to do list is to get my name off the old tenancy. Not sure how easy it will be but that is the first hurdle I need to overcome. Then I will be indulging in property porn on rightmove.

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 24/06/2013 18:51

I guess write to the landlord in the first instance, explaining you have moved out and that XP wishes to continue to occupy solely from now on, and please could the tenancy be amended to reflect this. At the very least that puts theLL on notice you have gone and XP is sole occupier.

MissMummy1 · 24/06/2013 18:54

And you must share house porn for us all chasing !

I sometimes watch wimbledon if Murray is playing..

Need some weaning advice as M has become a bit of a food refuser but will post when I get onto the lappy later....

Sat waiting to pick up DP. Note to self, dont assume man in white hat and life jacket is DP.... I may have just shouted hurry up and get in to a complete stranger Blush Blush Blush Blush

ChasingDaisy · 24/06/2013 18:55

Thanks madam we rent through an agency so will email them tonight.

Today O did a poonami which covered him, his jumperoo and me. Envy He is never having seeded bread again.

PurplePidjin · 24/06/2013 19:02

Nadal lost, Murray won

Tennis
ChasingDaisy · 24/06/2013 19:21

Thanks pidj Smile I hope O grows up with an adventurous taste in food. I have quite plain tastes but that is one thing I would like to take from XP's side of the family.

fruitpastilles · 24/06/2013 19:23

Hugs pp hope you are ok, sorry if I have missed what has been going on naughtily still hasn't properly read back through Fred

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2013 19:37

pp I noticed :)

PetiteRaleuse · 24/06/2013 19:38

Shock LO has been chomping on seeded bread a LOT today. Should I be dreading tomorrow's nappies?

GTbaby · 24/06/2013 19:44

Pp lovely cuppa. Ta

VQ hilarious.

Turkey mince out of date yesterday.... If I cook now it will be ok right?

BigPigLittlePig · 24/06/2013 19:53

Today has been yet another day of poonamis and whinging. Should I be worried that lunch reappeared a mere 2 hours later? In the nappy as opposed to vom. I can only imagine the effect was similar to O's poonami chasing, only kiwi had been eaten rather than seeded bread Grin

Suspect bf is coming to an end here too Sad. Ever since I worked on Friday, and didn't feed for nearly 24 hours, my supply has taken a massive nosedive. Part of me (the chocolate and cheese hungry bit) says to go with it, and up the bottles. Another (bigger) part of me says nooooo keep feeding. I just don't feel ready to stop Sad

Chasing looking forward to property porn. Really hope you can find a lovely little place for you and O to call home.

Pidj I caught about 2 minutes of that match before I nodded off so thanks for the update!

F couldn't give 2 hoots about the tv, unless it's the news (she thinks they're talking to her). When (if?!) she does become interested though, we will be much more careful about what she can watch than we are with dsd. Partly this is because dsd watches Ugly Betty, Desparate houseswives, Gavin & Stacey etc with her mother so there's little point in us not letting her watch certain things. I do not want F, aged 5, to be imitating some of the things that dsd does though.

ChasingDaisy · 24/06/2013 19:54

PR if my experience is anything to go by, be afraid, be very afraid....

pidj I always notice your posts and also notice if you aren't here Smile xx

BigPigLittlePig · 24/06/2013 19:57

Oooh and operation self-settle-for-bedtime has worked 2nd night running. Into cot wide awake, lots of hand-holding, shushing and bottom patting, but 25 minutes later, sound asleep cuddling her bunny Smile

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 24/06/2013 20:02

(((((( pidj ))))))

Brew for you, and Cake

Fucking awful bedtime here. Out-numbered and out-witted by screaming DS and wilful DD.

MsJupiterJones · 24/06/2013 20:03

Chasing sorry the council wasn't more helpful but glad you are on the case and still staying in MK.

Both DH and I are fussy eaters so I'm also trying to give L a broader palate, it was going really well but he's suddenly taken against various things he previously loved, cucumber & humous for example he now shudders at. I'm still offering it but don't want to torture him.

VQ Grin

L normally only gets to see property programmes and quiz shows, no wonder he looked relieved that Wimbledon has started.

I did watch some insane American cartoon about pirates the other day at 4.30am when L had decided sleeping was for losers. Children's TV is weird.

YellowWellies · 24/06/2013 20:07

MM Grin to chatting up strange sailors!!! J food refuses if his teeth hurt - he won't touch purees but usually still takes some (but less than normal) finger food.

Izzy I'd guess focaccia would have butter in. Most nice breads do. Onion bhajis are usually OK, naan bread usually not (it has yogurt in).

Sadly at the beginning if you've not read the label its best not to eat it but don't worry - you'll quickly build up a list of safe meals and snacks - eating out however is a total PITA as you have to trust what waiting staff tell you. You do learn pretty quick what is and isn't OK. I'm only caught out now when supermarkets change product ingredients.

Given he's been exposed to allergens for 7 months I imagine it might be a slower process of 'cold turkey' for the wee man as there will be more damage - J was 8 weeks when I went dairy and soy free so there was less to leave his system maybe? We saw a small improvement in days, a bigger one within 10 days but it was only when I combined it with omeperazole that we saw a huge improvement. It might be that ranitidine just isn't strong enough?

I don't know what to suggest about giving up BF - it's a very final decision. If you struggle with the elimination diet (did the doc confirm if you need to cut egg as well as cutting that and dairy could be tricky) then BF will continue to cause him pain and sleeplessness and potentially long term damage to his oesophagus / and risks making intolerances into allergies - it's not fair IMHO. Don't see FF as bad - plenty of reflux babes in the quiche are thriving on it. Equally don't see BF / elimination diet as all bad - it has it's upsides - I'm really appreciating sticking with BF as it means I can 'try' him on problem foods more gently - without giving them directly. So each has its merits. If you're not sure, stick with the elimination diet until you've made your mind up to keep your options open?

Pikz · 24/06/2013 20:25

I need to buy L a crash helmet

Passmethecrisps · 24/06/2013 20:29

Evenin' all

Is it right that I am sitting here craving P's banana Soreen?

Anyhoo.

S'up pp? Why would you think you were unnoticed? You're like the eggy bit of our quiche - if you weren't here it would just be ham and pastry.

I love that R has a spicy tongue! Personally, I think we train babies to like blandness in the UK. One of my midwives told me to "avoid all strong flavours, obviously. Baby won't like it" when I was attempting to BF. I wanted to reply "really? Do they do that in other countries? Ones not obsessed with beige food" I didn't. Obviously. I smiled and said "of course!"

Good job chasing. I am appalled by the attitude of the housing people in MK. My parents faced homelessness for some time running up to my dad's retirement. They were looking at the possibility of months in B&B's or homeless hostels - this was despite knowing that his retirement would lead to a housing requirement for over 30 years. When I contacted the council on their behalf I was met with a cacophony of mindlessness. Lots of "oh really? That's terrible!" When I explained the situation and apparently noone had ever come across such a situation before. One person even said to me "I would hate it if that happened to my parents" No fucking shit Sherlock!

Anyway, my point is that you are not and will not be the only woman MK council have had in this situation. There will e many, many women all needing rehomed and that this is the 'advice' they are giving out leaves me feeling vommy.

I am glad you have faced it positively and have worked out a plan - looks like we are getting to see spunkydaisy. Or don'tmesswithdaisy

My heart goes out to you BP and izzy. I have no advice. Just dairy free Biscuit Seriously, you are going through tough times so consider your hands held.

How was work in the end madam? I hate running late in the morning as I feel you never catch up properly.

I love midget gems PR. I approve of your choice of snack. I always like the thought of Wimbledon but never actually get into it when it's on. I did blub snotty tears when Murray lost and every single time the clip got shown for weeks after

When I started teaching the last week or so of term meant tellies in every classroom showing wimbledon. Particularly when that blonde pretty woman played. What was her name? How times change! Nae chance of that happening now

PurplePidjin · 24/06/2013 20:34

Thanks all Wine

For the dairy free folk, baby rice with mashed fruit is a big hit here - mango goes into nice soft lumps, and raspberries :) i make with cooled boiled water unless there's spare milk lying around the fridge!

Vvvdp is sport mad so I'll be able to update on every match, potentially Tennis

Passmethecrisps · 24/06/2013 20:40

Oh and thank you bp for explaining why P giggles, arm flaps and leg kicks to certain telly. The weather is a fav - she obviously thinks that Carole is talking to her! During the day p watches the news until 9:15 then usually it is turned off. I she has had a bad night thus I am feeling brain dead then I have homes under the hammer on. In recent weeks I have felt less need to have the telly on so she watches much less. There was an advert on for a cartoon earlier though and she properly stopped mid-drag across the floor to watch it open mouthed. I would rather she didn't watch children's telly but that's more about my sanity than any issue I might have. No idea about censoring - my DH and his parents swear that he used to sit on his potty presenting a telly programme.
