Fuck it, we're co-sleeping tonight. I he seems upset and in need of cuddles.

LuisGarcia · 11/06/2013 00:07

Sleep well.

Bryzoan · 11/06/2013 03:03

I think cuddles sound nice for both of you chasing. Hope he is giving you nice dreams.

Know what you mean re things seeming harder vq - love the TH Grin. I get so cross when things seem harder when we are both here. DH cannot understand it as he swears he is trying reeeeeaaaalllly hard. But if there were 2 mes it would be a doodle, and so it is infuriating that it isn't like that. He always seems to be in slow motion, in the wrong place! As you say, good job I love him. Good job he loves me too, come to that as I also drive him round the bend sometimes Smile.

Bryzoan · 11/06/2013 03:19

Also to be fair if there were 2 mes the compost would never go out, the lawn would never be mown, the car would be in less good order, the sinks would never be unblocked, nothing would ever be mended, I would have to wash up every night instead of slinking off to bed and leaving it to dh, and I would drive myself round the twist instead of him - so I guess I should be thankful for him really Grin.

Lily311 · 11/06/2013 05:13

O woke at 3 and wouldn't settle, she was fine while I was with her but as soon as I left the room she became hysterical. No milk or water needed, ended up co-sleeping for an hour than I moved her back to her room.

Went for my first run last night, it felt good. I was rubbish but at least I did it. Tomorrow is the next one.

Quiche help needed, where can I get a replacement shopping basket for my maclaren? Mine never had any and I really will need it. I can't seem to find any on the net.

Passmethecrisps · 11/06/2013 07:45

Good morning toooo yoooo.

It's got quiet through the night - are more babies sleeping?

The rivers of snot are starting to clear a bit now thankfully.

We met a potential childminder yesterday - first one we have met. Couldn't sleep last night and had a wee middle of the night blub about it. About p going to a childminder - not lack of sleep.

I made p some chicken and potato pattie thins yesterday. She looked utterly disgusted, squished them through her fingers and cried. Ah well. I also tried mixing shredded chicken with puréed roasted butternut squash and feeding it to her - worked really pretty well I think. It was roughly 3 cubes and I reckon she took about 2.

Oh, and she hates raspberries. Made her shudder.

PetiteRaleuse · 11/06/2013 07:48

Morning from cloudy Lancashire. Have not looked on Facebook yet but just about worked out what's going on with Chasing

Sorry you had a shit time but fab that you're on your way out :) This is the hardest part, but you'll feel so much better in days, then weeks, and you'll be a new you very soon, taking lovely guilt free, fear free long deep breaths, and feeling very very strong.

vq LO is also a cold baby, but less and less so. A heart murmer was picked up at about three weeks old, but is less and less audible as it clears up over time. I wonder if that is why she is so cold. Marbled skin quite often, especially on the hands.

fruitpastilles · 11/06/2013 08:23

gt I make words up all the time on wwf, I just keep trying till one works ha!
pass glad the snot is clearing up, p will be fine with a childminder, and will love the time she spends with you even more for it.
Glad you made it over safely pr hope the weather picks up a bit for you. Enjoy your hol.

S was wide awake at 4 this morning so I brought her in with us, she slept until 8!!!!!!!!! This is unheard of. Wish she'd do it in her cot.
Off to the apple shop today to get my phone swapped, I hate going there.

Evilwater · 11/06/2013 08:31

Morning all, N was up 3 times during the night each time for milk. He seems to want to drink milk rather than food. Maybe a development leap?

Off to the drs later to sort out my hip.
I'm glad the quiche babies are sleeping.

Evil

horseylady · 11/06/2013 08:32

Morning. Wake ups at 2/3/4/5/5.30 (up for the day) I think tooth? But he's now shrieking happily in his jumperoo. Nutter.

BigPigLittlePig · 11/06/2013 08:40

Finally! F got dets memo about sleep. Bed at 6.30, feeds at 10 and 4, and slept in her cot in her own room until 8 when paranoid mummy woke her up checking she was still breathing Forgot to say, she had fish for the first time last night, and seemed to enjoy it, so long as it was off my fingers. Bonjela was issued pre-breakfast this morning, and she was more enthusiastic about the spoon, so perhaps that's the way to go.

Det didn't realise O had a cold, hope it fucks off soon.
PR how was the ferry crossing? Glad you're all here - has the nomathon begun yet!?
Bry very true about if there were 2 of each of us! Our garden would be a bloody shambles if it weren't for dh. And I would, once more, have small trees growing under the wheel arches of my car Grin. The house would be spotless though.

daisychain76 · 11/06/2013 09:00

Morning, well, seems the 6.30 bedtime worked. He fe'd at 10 then 3 then 6 up 7.45. A fab night for H. Shame l was stupid and didn?t go to bed til 1.

Supposed to be walking in the country today, so hope the rain holds off. Hope everyone has good days.

PurplePidjin · 11/06/2013 09:06

R was down at 10, then woke at 11, 1:30 and 4:30. Up for the day at 6:30 which is a lie in for us! Seems very cheerful on it and showing no signs of morning nappage. Off for a walk to group now, so maybe that'll do it?

daisychain76 · 11/06/2013 09:29

n!Of course, it?s now pouring dow

Pikz · 11/06/2013 09:42

A question. Just bought a lindam gate... It should come with the metal screw things that hold it in place shouldn't it? Before I look like a muppet taking it back?

ChasingDaisy · 11/06/2013 10:13

Morning,

O obviously enjoyed co-sleeping last night, he spread himself out like a starfish. In with me at 12, stirred at 4 for a feed but was back asleep by the time I got his bottle, fed at 5.30 and up for the day at 8 Smile

Another busy day of packing today, but off to say goodbye to next door at 11

Lily311 · 11/06/2013 10:50

pikz thank you, they would work but there is no way I'm paying £25 for it. I'm going to ask my brother to keep an eye on the charity shops, used maclarens come up for that price.

Pikz · 11/06/2013 10:54

Well that was a good 10 mins before he perfected crawling out of the play nest... Sigh

PetiteRaleuse · 11/06/2013 11:55

Crossing was ok - went by train, far easier than the ferry. V impressed at eurotunnel oragnisation. Nomathon has started. Fry up for breakfast at the hotel yesterday, fish and chips Sunday night, archers and lemondae to remind me of my teenage years, rolo desserts a plenty thig morning and stocked up on crisps at Asda :)

It's raining. Long term forecast says will be nice and warm again a week on Thursday, the day we leave :(

Passmethecrisps · 11/06/2013 12:47

Sounds awesome PR. A few days of that though and you'll be craving snails and good baguette.

pikz p sees escaping from the nest as part of the fun. I left her in it earlier while I popped to the kitchen. I could hear her but when I went in I couldn't see her anywhere. She was completely under the sofa eating the laces on DH's shoes.

Inspired by BP's beautiful christening invitations I took p to a clay painting place this morning to make a mug for Father's Day. A slightly grumpy baby and a total lack of artistic skill meant that it was a touch lacking but I am sure he will appreciate the sentiment.

Think we are going to go to a toddler group this afternoon - weeks of self-imposed quarantine with one illness and another and I am getting total cabin fever. We have been out and about but we have been missing the toddler group.

And thanks for the reassurance fruit. I think it is just starting to sink in that she will be with someone else all day!

ChasingDaisy · 11/06/2013 13:03

Glad you made it here safely PR, enjoy the grub Smile

Any tips for helping O to settle in at my dads? Going to use the cot sheet and sleeping bag he has been using for the past gee days so he has a familiar smell. Will put the same toys in his cot. Going to follow his usual bedtime routine and make sure that it is me who does this every night so that he has consistency and it can be our chance to relax and reconnect at the end of the day.

I have to say, I am looking forward to not being in charge of running a house for a while and having meals cooked for me. Hopefully I can relax, gain some weight, nap while O naps and spend quality time with O.

Have arranged to meet a friend next week and my neighbour is going to visit when we are settled.

ChasingDaisy · 11/06/2013 13:04

past few days*

BigPigLittlePig · 11/06/2013 13:13

Chasing when we were at my parents last week, F settled fine - although was a lot more tired than usual as new sights, smells etc and oodles of attention from doting grandparents. Sounds as though you're doing all the right things. Within a few days, I bet you'll feel well on your way to being a new woman, I know I did after just 3 days of relaxing and being looked after Smile

StuntNun · 11/06/2013 13:57

I'm back! Exams are all done. I can haz degree now? I'll catch up on the thread when I recover from the revision/exam exhaustion.
